Reviews for Shore Point Marina and Yacht Sales
Shore Point Marina , 2016-06-10
Captain: , St Clair, MI (20)

We came in here in a 42 Jefferson with a 4+ ' draft, with no problems. It's a great out of the wind spot, which is why we came in. Staff was very helpful .No courtesy car but the owner even drove us to the local grocery store. Easy ,close off the ICW, Good fixed dock, easy in and out ,Nicely protected fuel dock and good fuel prices. Clean restrooms.Only one washer and dryer.

great stop, 2014-06-12

Traveling north on ICW and found my voltage was
dropping. Obviously decided to forego anchoring out and came here for service. Found the staff, including Roger (the mechanic) to be very knowledgeable and patient.

good fuel prices., 2014-04-19
Captain: , Baltimore, MD (40)

great fuel prices. I filled up here and attempted a pump out, but had problems with my holding tank so I couldn't pump out. was a little annoyed that I still was charged 15 bucks despite this, but I' d return for fuel.

Nice, well run and friendly staff, 2013-05-27
Captain: , Ashland, OR (122)

We stopped on Memorial Day weekend and they took the time to help us with lines and a pumpout. Everyone was cheerful, helpful and experienced. Showers and restrooms were very nice and super clean.

Friendly and helpful, 2013-05-25

We stayed here on cold and windy day Memorial weekend. The staff were very helpful in getting us secure to the docks. Clean washrooms and laundry facility. Fuel a good price with discount. Ask for BoatUS or Active Captain discount 25% on dockage.
As with many places in the Garden State these folks were hit hard by Sandy but all around us people are rebuilding. Support guys like these, off the beaten path. Sure it isn't glamorous, it is a working-type boat yard but the locals and staff are friendly and helpful.
The ship store is well stocked with parts and goodies for you basic needs but a shopping area is about a mile or so walk away.

Came for three weeks, stayed for 8 months, 2013-05-07
Captain: , Coles Point, VA (778)

I had originally planned to use a transient slip here for three weeks until a slip became available at another marina, but while I was there, the folks earned my business and I decided to winter with them. What I hadn't bargained on was Hurricane Sandy. Of all the marinas on Toms River, I was probably lucky to have chosen Shore Point because they had less damage than many of the others. Additionally, they took good care of me (and, from what I was able to tell, their other clients) after the storm and were very considerate on billing, timing, and were always friendly and pleasant.

One other thing that impressed me was the amount of upgrades that they are in progress with that have had nothing to do with the hurricane. New dock bulkheads in many areas as well as new floating docks in the center section are simply outstanding. The upgrades to their power since the hurricane have also been well-timed. Their fuel and pump-out services are excellent, and the face-lift opportunity provided to their marina offices are also well-timed. From what I could tell by talking with the "old-timer" residents, these "new" owners really care about the facilities and the service. I saw much of that first-hand and was impressed. There's still a ways for them to go, but they are anxious to make the trip to delivering "the mostest for the leastest" which is a good combination these days.

While there is a pool, the marina lacks a restaurant/bar and more fully featured ship's store. Lacking these things, Shore Point rates a "4-star" ranking in my book. I give it a recommendation.

Good marina and service, 2011-12-16
Captain: , Wall, NJ (420)

Good service and ample parking for use of their party room

Stay Away.....Crooks, 2011-10-13
Captain: , Forked River (10)

This place is Horrible. CROOKS!!! I got over $100 in gas and then they had the balls to charge me $15 + tax for my pumpout. They also never told me that I was being charged for the pumpout. GO ELSEWHERE! All the good marina's do not charge you for pumpout if you get gas and only charge $5 if you don't. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!

Good fuel dock with fair prices, 2011-06-08
Captain: , Ft. Lauderdale, FL (100)

Well attended fuel dock and fairly new fuel equipment (important with ethanol gas). Easy in and out. Small ships store last I was there in late 2009.

Upgraded, 2009-02-25
Captain: , Toms River New Jersey (162)

I just wintered here this year , new owners and they are upgrading dock fuel parking lot etc, this is a great location and easy access to the bay
