Reviews for Seru Boca Marina
Beautiful place, hurricane hole and good customer service, 2016-10-23
Captain: , South America (778)

I stayed here for 4 months from Jul - Oct 2016. The place is part of Santa Barbara resort. If you stay here you can use the hotel pier and facilities. The place is far East in the island but you can reach anywhere by dinghy in Spanish water.

Whatever you need ask for Robert to help you - he is the Marina manager - and had helped us many times finding service providers and best places to buy things/ to do maintenance. I recommend this place. My only "constructive" feedback is that this Marina could have a place to integrate the families/other sailors (something like a barbecue/happy hour area)

Great service!, 2016-08-30

We had reservations at Kima Kalki Marina which ended up being too shallow. In a panic since its Jazz Fest, we called Seru Boca and they had a slip for us. It is located in a gated resort community. Had two folks helping us Med Moor, hooked up water and the next day the manager helped us hook up power. Although they have 50hz/220v, they are wired with two 110v feeds. They provided a plug and connected a single 110v feed to our boat so we can run our battery charger (it's 50hz compatible). For a US configured boat, this is huge! They also drove us to customs and immigration which are in separate locations on each side of the harbor and about 5 miles apart and 15 miles from the Marina. We have access to the amenities at Santa Barbara resort too! It is a long dingy ride to the action so we're renting a car. The Marina is five star but the location knocks it down to four star.

We are working hard to become a top notch marina, we are not there yet, rating 4 ....just finished a brand new dock, high speed Wi Fi, there are still some berths available in this very safe marina, inquiries are welcome:
looking forward

Spent a week here waiting on weather that never got better so I was a bit frustrated. When we arrived they tried to put us in a slip that was undersized. Opted instead for a med mooring which was fine. Very little services available and very remote place. Manager runs a tight ship, I thought a little too tight as the staff was limited on what they could do for us because of the rules. Immigration is a real pain because you hav eto take all the crew to both immigration and customes. Marina charged 70 bucks heack way for the service, Had to do it twice because of the weather and was again a bit frustrated but not marinas fault. Wifi was almost useless and not much effort to make it better. Most of the boats here seem to be just storing for hurricane season.

expensive, low internet, not the best option.

Perfect place to leave your boat in the Hurricane season, 2015-03-19
Captain: , Portsmouth, UK (70)

Quiet, a little remote but access by Dingy to main beaches and restaurants, with 24/7security. Robert the Marina Manager offers a service to check your boat, bilges etc while you are away and there is an excellent young man that will keep your boat lovely and clean inside too called Osca.

Very friendly, clean and has a bus facilities to the supermarket twice weekly. Also Robert will organise Customs and Immigration for you too. Well worth considering as a safe place to leave your boat.

Captain: , Kingston, Ontario, Canada (558)

This marina caters to people who leave their boats but don't live on them. The washrooms (1 for men and 1 for women) are clean, as well as the showers (again, 1 each) but there is no hot water, just room temperature (which is usually good enough). The docks are in very good shape, but many of the metered electrical and water connections are not working at the moment. This place is VERY remote. A free shopping bus comes in at 0830 on Tuesdays and Saturdays, but it is nearly a 2 mile walk to get to the front gate where you can catch a regular bus. The wifi isn't working, but you can use it in the office. There is no fuel or pumpout or any other services. This place is all about SECURITY though. If you stay for a minimum of 3 months, you can get the price as low as $ 11 per foot per month.

A good marina, very quit and sometimes very hot due to little wind in that area
