Reviews for Secret Cove Marina
Fantastic Restaurant, Pretty Good Marina, 2016-09-04
Captain: , Seattle (60)

We stayed two nights while we waited for conditions to improve so we could cross the Strait. We were only booked for one night but Scott, the manager, was kind enough to squeeze us in for an extra day because of the bad weather. The facilities are well maintained and the store selection is way above average for marina shops with real meat and produce. Multiple dock staff were standing by to help us in, but then the teenage employees tended to sit around the store checking Facebook/Instagram, blasting hiphop and talking about party plans. We got attitude or were ignored multiple times when we engaged them or asked for assistence. There's no laundry facilities and no walkable destinations so we were going a bit stir crazy. However, the Upper Deck restaurant was a wonderful surprise. We dined there both nights and were rewarded with exceptional food and service for both meals. We're very glad we gave into the restaurant reservation upsell when we booked the moorage.

Great Crew easy in and out., 2016-08-01

Stayed here on July 18th. Restaurant closed so no review. The dockhands/store clerks were very helpful and right on the dock when we arrived.the store while small seems to have almost anything we might want. Nothing nearby except some summer homes and they are on top of a 50 ft. cliff right at the marina. We rented Kayaks and took a nice leasurly tour of the Cove and the other Marina which had lots boats crowded in.

Nice, quiet spot, great service, 2016-07-31
Captain: , Seattle (690)

We stopped here on the way from Princess Louisa to Vancouver - very convenient location. Secret cove has three arms, and the Marina is located in the north arm. Easy to see the Fuel Dock and store with blue roof to your port on entry. We called on our way down and they were able to accomodate us for the night. Small store, but well-stocked. There is room for a couple of boats to anchor across from the dock.

Tight But Nice, 2016-07-30

Stopped here after are late day cruise across the strait. Was able to find a small place to drop anchor with very little scope. Thankfully it was calm all night otherwise could have been exciting as there were quite a few boats anchored. Again, small area but a very nice store at the fuel dock.

Great Marina - Convenient Location, 2015-08-11
Captain: , Seattle, WI (22)

Clean facility with probably the best marina store I've seen which is great since there's nothing (town/village) close by. We stayed on a Monday evening so we were not able to try the resturant (closed Mondays). Very convenient location for cruising north or south about mid-way between Vancouver and Desoluation destinations. No boat washing currently due to water restriction. The small river/bay to the south is fun to dighy around - beatuful homes and scenery.

Doesnèt get much better, 2015-06-22

Wonderful spot. No village to walk to, but the marina store (very well stocked ... plus liquor) and restaurant (Thursday to Sunday) are top rate. The staff are outstanding. This is a spot well worth visiting, we will again!

What A GREAT spot - we much prefer it to Pender Harbour. Staff is friendly, docks and power are good, wifi is strong, On site store has a great selection of goods plus beer and wine. Showers and washroom very clean. We enjoyed dinner at the restaraunt - one of the best meals we remember in a long time.
We liked it so much we went out of our way to fuel up here on our return from Desolation.

Nice place, 2013-09-18
Captain: , North Vancouver, BC (547)

Great place to stop - the crew woks hard to fit you in, and lend a hand if needed. Chandlery seems to have everything - and I do mean everything, with fair prices. Restaraunt prices - not so fair - in fact they kept us away.

Welcome respite, 2013-07-12
Captain: , Vancouver (282)

There aren't all that many marinas available along the Sunshine Coast within a day's sail from Vancouver, but Secret Cove is certainly within range at the North end of the Welcome Passage, and is well worth a visit. Very good facilities. Cute little cove just around the corner from teh marina is suited to swimming and loafing. On one visit in August there were *tons* of wasps, but that seemed to be an unusual occurrence. Marina staff are very friendly and helpful. Good restaurant too. All told, an excellent marina experience.

We arrived just after dark, dropped the hook and hit the hay. Next morning fueled up and were on our way again. Scenery is stunning and very helpful and friendly staff.

We've stayed here twice and were treated royally. Nice store and restaurant. Gourmet is a bit of a stretch but they did have Bison Burgers!
