Reviews for Sebasco Harbor Resort
Pleasant One Night Stop, 2016-10-09
Captain: , Avondale, PA (448)

(Visited 8/31/2016) Called to reserve a mooring for a single night. Call was answered promptly and reservation made. Upon arrival, contacted dockmaster by radio and received god drections to our mooring. As with most of the moorings in Sebasco Harbor, this one was exposed to winds from the south and southwest, so we rolled a bit during the night but it wasn't uncomfortable. Launch came quickly when we called in the morning and we explored on shore for a little while. It's a pleasant looking resort. The heads and showers were clean but minimal. We didn't take advantage of any of the resort's other amenities. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.

Lots to do here!, 2016-09-17

Visited 9-14-16. Mooring $30 after Labor Day but no launch. Moored right off their float, easy dinghy in. We were the only transient on this September Wednesday. Nice salt water swimming pool. Good food. Golf, we have done a paddleboarding trip around Harbor Island here in the past, need a quiet flat day for it. Lots of nice walking on shore here. Borrowed bikes from pro shop and rode to Morse Mtn. Conservation area, hiked to gorgeous view of beaches and marshes off Popham, then on to Seawall Beach, fantastic place at low tide!

Best Value, 2016-08-05
Captain: , Wickford, RI (550)

Came here from DeMillios in Portland, what a contrast. This is quiet, peaceful, and just as well run. Excellent launch service. Good restaurants, nice ice cream shop, refreshing salt water pool.
Bit of a walk to the showers but the ice cream is on the way.
No seas to speak of while there so can't address motion on the moorings

Nice facilities, friendly staff, 2016-07-23
Captain: , Brunswick, Maine (76)

Planned an overnight in mid week in July, so left a phone message requesting mooring reservation. Call was returned within the hour and reservation made. Nice facilities and friendly staff. After dinner ashore, we watched osprey "fishing" for their dinner as sun set. Mosquitoes after dusk, screens recommended. Nice buffet breakfast in the morning. Also enjoyed a swim in the huge salt water pool.

picked up an empty mooring at 8pm after a phone call. restaurant open to 10pm. ate in lower bar restaurant. food was good. our mooring was 2 out from the island which was pretty quiet from the SSW swells.

One of the best family stops on the coast, 2014-08-13
Captain: , Chebeague Island (420)

Sebasco offers much for a cruising family to enjoy: salt water pool, game room, camp fires, open-air brunch, ice cream stand, playground, etc. It is a very friendly place for all to enjoy. As noted by others, it can be a bit uncomfortable in the anchorage if there's a swell entering the harbor (hence four stars).

Good place to spend some time, 2014-07-28
Captain: , Ruskin Florida (702)

We came in and the launch wasn't working. When we went to pay they only charged us $20. for the inconvenience of having to launch our dingy. We had a great day bowling... and playing games in the game room. Lunch at the restaurant was really good.. $10. for cheesburger and fries.. If it was a sunny day we would have enjoyed the pool. I'd come here again.

We have been coming here since the mid 1980s. As others have noted, this is not the best place to be in a strong SW wind. For a less rolly night pick one of the moorings close to Harbor I. Even so, when the tide is against the wind you will hear every jingle and jangle from your galley and spare parts locker!

This is a great place to stop with small kids: swimming pool, candlepin bowling, ice cream shack, kayaks, places to explore, after dinner shows, etc. Nice place to take a walk and look at the flower beds. We found the restaurant food so so, but the pub is a nice place to have a snack and look at the harbor.

The last time we came we picked up an empty mooring and we were scolded by the harbormaster (harbor mistress?) for not having made a reservation, so call ahead.

There is gas but no diesel.

Grat Place to Unwind, 2012-09-01
Captain: , Cleveland, OHio (421)

My wife vacationed here when she was ten years old, so after 50 years, we had to return. The memories poured out, the pool, the bowling lanes, all of the stuff from the past was there. The staff was terrific.

Food, tender service, and even a nice climb up their mountain to see a great view of the water.

This is a kid friendly place.

Very rolly harbor, 2012-08-15
Captain: , Denton, TX (435)

Launch service, restaurant great. No support services within walking distance, Experienced the worst rolling ever in this harbor.

Great Over Night, 2012-07-30
Captain: , Berwyn (250)

Great place for a over night mooring. Facilities were great (Showers & launch service) and good food at the restaurant. Well worth the $40 mooring fee. Beware of the mosquito%u2019s if you plan on sitting on your deck to watch the sunset

Fantastic amenities, 2012-07-29
Captain: , Red Brook Harbor, Ma. (195)

The amenities are great. Salt water pool, health club, crocket, golf course, badmitton, we ever grabbed a canoe for a leisurely paddle on a fresh water pond covered in day lillys right near the restaurant. All was gratis for the mooring fee of $40 except the golf. Great spot to stop with kids.

Captain: , Kittery Point, ME (101)

Stayed there for 4 rainy days last October. Great restaurant excellent fried clams (and I consider myself an expert). Nice pub where I watched Sunday football. While it was out of season there was still ample staff at the resort. The personnel were helpful, curteous and overall just great. It was an enjoyable stay. When heavy weather came we headed a short distance up the New Meadows river to the Basin where we were the only boat safely anchored during some really nasty weather.

A decent place to moor, 2012-01-19
Captain: , Islesboro, Maine (104)

We chose this place to do a crew swap and they let us park our car there for three days while we delivered the boat. We were also so late in the season we got a free mooring out of the deal! The restaurant had decent food and offered us a view of the bay and our boat. I will second what the other reviewers say about the anchorage though, as the Southerly picked up throughout the night we found oursleved bopping around on our mooring.

Good for staying ashore, 2011-08-05
Captain: , South Florida (40)

Used mooring ball, but stayed the night ashore. Great food in resturant. Nice facilities

Great Family Fun, 2011-02-14
Captain: , Falmouth ME (10)

We have been going here for over 20 years. There is something for everyone from play ground for the kids to a nice 9 hole golf course.
Be aware of the mosquitos at dusk. Also not a good place to be with a strong SW breeze

Sebasco harbor, 2011-02-07
Captain: , Harpswell Me (277)

If you take a mooring close to the dock you will be rocking all night on the swell, go as far into the inlet as comfortable possible. I thought the $40 a night was expensive for the area, showers were a hike and the restaurant is nothing special. Pleasnat walks around the grounds.

Great Staff!, 2009-08-31
Captain: , Barrington RI (475)

Staff is very helpful!

Bar and food service were good. The showers in the fitness center(?) were poor. To call it a "fitness center" is kind of a stretch. It is a big room with a TV, towels, some weights, some mats, and a stationary bicycle.

Mooring was pricey ($40 for a 28' sailboat in early August).

Lovely harbor, 2009-07-01
Captain: , Great Island, Maine (323)

Restaurant has great years and good years. This year looks to be one of the great ones. Staff is friendly and amenities are ample. No fuel and no groceries. The harbor does have some roll.

Something for Everyone, 2009-05-03
Captain: , Placida, Florida (101)

This is a very nice shorside facility, with golf, pool, tennis, and excellant restaurant. Harbor is quite rolly, ( why not rated 5 star), and there is seldom room to use the service dock as it is small and normally in use by resort owned boats. Often a quick drop off is possible though. Staff are always very friendly
