Reviews for Seaview Marina
Perfect Nights Stay, 2016-09-11
Captain: , east rockaway (59)

we were lucky enough to be able to squeeze in for a one night stay and it was a perfect getaway. The entry is a bit unerving with a narrow runway followed by a blind 90 degree left turn into the slips. The dockmasters were great and very welcoming, as were the seasonals that we docked next too. Great views over the bay from the rear of our boat and a short 5 minute walk to the beach. Ocean beach is just a quick 5 minute walk west, and ocean bay park is a decent 15 minute walk. This will be our fire island spot from now on!

Good sheltered Marina in Fire Island, 2015-07-13
Captain: , LBI, NJ (42)

Stayed there 3 days in July 2015, the marina is well sheltered from the bay as it is behind a seawall. The docks are in good shape (look fairly new) their are no floating docks but they tide change is only about 2 feet and if you stern in you have easy access to the boat. They have both water and power, but no restrooms or showers. The marina is in a great location, you are only about a 5 minute walk from Ocean Beach. I spoke to many of the locals and they have said this is the best marina in the area, and from what I saw I agreed. The entrance to the marina, is a bit uncomfortable because of the current, but plenty of room. We had a great time and would visit again for sure. Avaialablity at the marina is tight, so it is pricy I would suggest making reservations at least two weeks in advance, transit would be tuff

Fun stay for the family, 2014-04-29

My wife and 2 kids spent some time here last summer and hope to return again this year. The marina is well protected from the bay with a reasonably large deck to hang out with the other boaters. There's an excellent beach and the village of Ocean Beach is nearby with lots of restaurants and shops.

Ideal location for a boating vacation, 2011-07-26
Captain: , Mamaroneck, NY (50)

This marina is well protected with a wide deck where there is room to sit at tables and relax. You can swim in the Great South Bay or take a short walk to beautiful Atlantic Ocean beaches. The town of Ocean Beach is a short walk away where there is all sorts of night life, stores, etc. There are no cars on Fire Island so you are not at all disadvantages when visiting by boat.

The marina itself has few amenities and the dock needs some work, but the good news is that the work is underway and should be completed by 2012.

Acceptable, but could be better, 2011-02-27
Captain: , Nyack, New York (64)

I stayed overnight summer of '10. Called dock-master beforehand and was told there are no reservations - its first come first severed. However, upon arrival I was directed away from a convenient piled slip and to a slip against the breakwater, parallel to the entrance - very difficult to maneuver into and out of. In addition, at this location the dock is not perpendicular to the water but actually slopes away from the slip, leaving the top of the dock further away from the transom. Very difficult, especially at low tide. Simple steps nailed to the sheathing would have made boarding and disembarking much easier.All-in-all, it was safe and close to everything.

Seaview Marina, 2010-07-29
Captain: , Bay Shore, NY (490)

Should be named Bay View Marina; because that's what you're looking at. Limited number of transient slips; and very expensive. But if you want to be in the heart of Fire Island and all it has to offer; this is a good place. It is located next to the ferry dock in Seaview; not Ocean Beach, as listed.
