Reviews for Sears Landing Grill and Boat Docks
did the trick, 2013-11-17

Wanting to run till out of day light going south and with minimum places to stop for the night we called ahead and they gladly accomidated our 24 foot beam of the cat on their t head. $50.00 for the night... I was very OK with tha. Decided to eat ashore. service very good. Food not 5 star but tasty and would come agian Prices a little steep for the portions but I have seen much worse.
Came in in the dark. Hug the port side of the channal close to the boat lifts. It was hard to tell the depth of the channal since our hulls were huging the outside and it was tight. Once in past the condos on thel elft it went to 6 ft. Nice floating docks and well protected. The docks can handdle maybe 5 boats including the t head. We were stretching it at 41 feet. Not much alse in this area so Iwould stop again.

Great Restaurant, Dockage questionable, 2012-06-20

I am a local to Surf City/Topsail Beach. Sears Landing is a great restaurant, and is wonderful for small boats to pull up to. But I would question whether a trawler of any size should attempt the very narrow and shallow entrance. Even in my 26 footer with 8.5 beam I had to be cautious. I would not attempt it in my 36 footer.

Have not docked here, 2012-03-20
Captain: , Great Falls, VA (1092)

A friend suggested I try Sears Landing as an alternative to Beach House, as they do offer overnight dockage for transients. Their entrance depth of 4' prevented that as an option for me. However I have eaten here and seen the docks, food is great and I think the docks will offer a nice (but limited space wise) alternative to be able to visit Surf City. They have showers, bathrooms and 30amp power, great food at the restraunt and great location near the bridge to time (southbound) departures.
