Reviews for Seapath Yacht Club
Great stop, 2017-06-18
Captain: , Charleston, SC (50)

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Courtesy car was being used so staff member drove us to a nearby restaurant, and picked us up! Recommend this stop to anyone.

Great experience, 2017-06-15
Captain: , Charleston (22)

We have a 40' trawler and were on the outside face dock, a little bumpy with some boat traffic but most adhere to no wake, staff was very helpful, used the courtesy van multiple times, no complaints

Customer satisfaction is everything, 2017-05-20
Captain: , Egg Harbor, NJ (110)

One night stop, all good, and worth longer visit next time. Attentive, competent staff reflects good management. Spot they had for us was occupied by boat with mechanical issues, but they found another location that worked fine.

A Friendly Stop, 2016-11-09
Captain: , Annapolis, MD (283)

Very nice place to tie up for a rest or fuel. The dock hands are friendly and very helpful. The face dock makes it easy to land and leave, it floats and there is a good view. A short ride in their courtesy car takes you to plentiful shopping and restaurants.

Nice place, 2016-10-23
Captain: , North Palm Beach, FL (490)

Stayed here for the night on our way south and we were very pleased. Nice face dock for the easy in/out. Folks were friendly and professional, so we will be back!

Facility and staff is first class, 2016-10-21
Captain: , Erie, Pa. (1896)

Easy approach (even in dark) 12' water at fuel dock at low tide, fuel dock floats, 5' tide, $2 foot plus power. Staff stayed late to help and were great, facility is very nice, courtesy, car lots of restaurants close.

First Rate Marina, 2016-06-02
Captain: , jupiter,fl (140)

Great dock crew, loaner car, and within walking distance to a bunch of good restaurants...a most enjoyable stay.

Excellent!, 2016-05-13
Captain: , Oriental, NC (190)

Super facility with great dock hands who welcomed us and made us feel like the business was appreciated. They were great on the radio giving good local advice. Very accommodating. I would highly recommend stopping here.

Nice stay and will be back, 2016-03-02
Captain: , Wanchese NC (30)

Stayed here on the way south and now on the way home to the Outer Banks. (Manteo). Everyone very nice and helpful. They do have a courtesy car just like airports when you are a pilot. More mainas should offer a car. Also a good place to have work done on your boat. Bennets and marinemax came out and did some work that was needed. I was in Myrtle Beach for 2 1/2 months and couldn't get anyone to show up to do the work. Will be back.

Great Location / Friendly Staff, 2015-11-11
Captain: , Hilton Head, SC (1244)

Bathrooms were tiny but otherwise a five. Docks easy on and off. Great staff. Courtesy car very hand to provision up the road at Harris Teeter, West Marine and Motts Channel Seafood. Heard Bluewater restaurant was good, but we did not try it. We planned for one night, but stayed a 2nd when bad weather came through - happy to be at dock.

Excellent place for fuel, water, & pump out., 2015-11-04
Captain: , Sebastian, Florida (387)

Long floating fuel dock in good condition. Easy in - easy out. But take note of the rather strong current. Staff is very pleasant and helpful.

Exceptional follow-up, 2015-10-30
Captain: , Baltimore (529)

We called Seapath after hours, trying to find a transient dock after we lost the shaft coupler on our starboard engine. Seapath was full, as was every other marina in the Wrightsville Beach area.
The next day Chris called us back and offered machanic and diver information. If we are back in the area, we will give Seapatch YC a call for dockage.

Another outstanding marina, 2015-08-07
Captain: , Olcott, NY (2536)

03/18/15 - These guys are great!
many years ago they supported my month long effort to fix a blown head gasket on my engine. it was really appreciated.
Same great service this year!

Stayed nights of 4/20-21/15, 2015-05-02
Captain: , Atlanta (770)

We stayed on face dock two nights. First night, strong (20 mph+) SSW winds had us bumping against face all night long - very noisy and bumpy. From any other direction would probably not have been so bad, but a lot of room for fetch from that direction. Easy (10 minute) walk to beach - the Baja Mexican Grill near the beach was excellent.

Great basin, 2015-03-27
Captain: , Southport, NC (916)

Awesome setting, short walk to the beach. If you are not on the face dock be sure not to stray too far from the dock entrances, the center of the basin has some shallow points.

it was okay but not what we expected, 2015-02-08
Captain: , Santa Maria CV (415)

We had a problem with our steering on a 45ft catamaran an ask for help with the dockage before we came in. The current was very strong and it was difficult for us to com long side. Unfortunately there was nobody! In the last moment - a girl came to the pier. But she wont take our stern line and was not realy able to help. It was a miracle that we could tie up without damaging other boats. When we left - the service was way better - 2 strong guys helped us with the lines and we came out without trouble. So if you need help with dockage - make sure that realy somebody is around who can help you! All the rest was okay - bit expencive but you get what you need.

Nice marina - Great Staff, 2014-12-28
Captain: , Traverse City, Mi (281)

We ended up spending a few days here while we rested up kicking some colds. I can' say enough about the friendly and helpful staff - a great group of people. The loaner car (van) was a big plus, as it allowed us to get around easily and always seemed to be available. A very nice stop.

Another non functional pump out in Wrightsville Beach?, 2014-10-24
Captain: , Solomons, MD (195)

This was our second choice for pump out and fueling up...called in and were told the pump out was not working at that time. A shame because we were excited about staying there overnight.

Accomodating, 2014-08-24
Captain: , Daniel Island, SC (330)

Seapath continues to be a well managed marina and the loaner van is something other marinas distant from shopping areas should consider.

Great Stop, 2014-07-14
Captain: , Little River, SC (278)

Stayed one night 07-12-14. Very nice and clean marina. Adam and Phil were very helpful. Great nightly boat "parade". No wake zone is observed so no rocking around at dock. Great Stop. Great view from fly bridge!

Nice place and great contractors, 2014-05-18
Captain: , Plano, Texas sv Mariposa (345)

We spent 5 days here waiting for the weather to accomodate a sail around Cape Hatteras. While here, we needed help with some engine work and getting the AIS to work on our chartplotter (previous installer couldn't figure it out).

The people recommended by the marina staff were very knowledgeable and were more reasonable with charges than what we've experienced in Florida.

Like other posts, having stayed 5 nights, we enjoyed the use of the van, making several trips to West Marine and nearby stores.

Great place for a stop and good fuel prices!

Great stop, 2014-04-20
Captain: , Fort Myers Beach, FL (361)

We are traveling north to the AGLCA rendezvous and needed a good place to stop for inclement weather. We found it here.
The staff is extremely helpfull and friendly. We are staying for the third day while the wind and rain move on.
We have found the courtesy car very helpfull and the area very nice.
This will be a return to marina if ever back in the area.

Seapath Yacht Club, 2013-10-14
Captain: , Sandwich (722)

The marina is off the intracoastal making it protected from travelling vessels waves/currents/wind. The marina docks/basin are very clean. However, the bath/shower facilities are filthy. Onsite washer/dryer, 2 gas grilles, courtesy van, open wifi. Walking distance to Harris Teeter for small provisioning. 1-mile from ocean beach. There are many restaurants to choose from, but with heavily travelled roads you need to use caution when walking. Especially at night.

great spot, 2013-10-06
Captain: , Wrightsville Beach, N.C. (10)

Great staff. Several restaurants, all walkable. Nice city park across from Marina. You can walk to beach, less than mile. Easy in and out to ICW and Masnboro Inlet.

Disappointed - Update 8/15/13, 2013-08-15
Captain: , Savannah, GA (330)

Great marina off the ICW, however, we were disappointed in the staff. We arrived around 4:30 p.m. and they did help with the boat and were informative about what was available. It was my wife's birthday so we asked the dock hand to reserve the courtsey car for us so we could go have a nice dinner. They stated they did not leave until 7pm. We arrived at 6:35 to pick up the car and everything was locked up. No one in sight. A nice lady knew Chris and tried to call him but no answer. She even offered us a ride, however, we did not want to put her out so we ended up getting a taxi and going to the Blue Water Grill and had a nice dinner. We did like the location of the marina but not sure we would stay there again.

UPDATE 8/15/13 - A unexpected surprise arrived in the mail today from Chris Brock, Dockmaster at Seapath apologizing for what happened to us there and sent us a nice gift card. This was a very nice marina and we would now go back to it if we were in the area. Thank you Chris for going the extra mile.

Great Stop, 2013-08-06
Captain: , Abilene, TX (210)

Easy face dock, very friendly and helpful staff, loaner car, plenty of restaurants around, West Marine by loaner car, will stay here again, quite and peaceful

Pleasent experiance., 2013-06-26
Captain: , Isle of Palmes SC (30)

loner car and quiet location.

Welcoming and friendly!, 2013-06-19
Captain: , San Francisco, CA (312)

We pulled in here because we needed to get some work done by a nearby Raymarine technician. The dockmaster Chris and his crew are very helpful and friendly. Nice docks, plenty of dock carts to carry the groceries after our run to Harris Teeter in the courtesy car! Good washer and dryer and wonderful shower facility. We have added this marina to our list of favorites for transient use. Wrightsville Beach is too pricey for us to stay long term but it is a fun place to visit.

Great Stop, 2013-06-19
Captain: , North Myrtle Beach (251)

The staff welcomed us and made us feel at home. We stayed two nights due to weather and were pleased to be delayed in such a nice marina. Clean restrooms, good restaruants in walking distance and a city park across the street.

Very Helpful Staff, 2013-05-31
Captain: , Auburn, Maine (447)

5/30/13. Needed to make an emergency stop for generator repairs. Chris was quick to accommodate us with a face dock berth for our 60' Hatteras, and found us a terrific generator mechanic to fix our problem. The dock staff stayed a bit late to help us tie up. Facilities were clean, had ice available at the dock, nearby breakfast place (Causeway Cafe) got rave reviews for breakfast, and there is a one mile long nature walk about 1/2 mile North of the marina, across the bridge. Great stopping place!

Great people, 2012-12-16
Captain: , Deep Point Marina (30)

I have stayed here a few times. All times they were more than accomidating. Capt. Phil the marina manager even went to his house to bring me a tool I needed for a repair. I strongly reccomend this marina. The liveaboards are really nice people as well. There is also a courtesy van and west marine is close by.

nice people, 2012-12-16
Captain: , N.C. USA (110)

I have stayed here a few times and the people here are great. They are very helpful. I called on the radio asking for a overnight and was told they were full. I stopped in for fuel and Phil the marina manager made room for me. 5 minutes after I tied up we had sustained 50 mph winds. If I had headed to the anchorage im sure it would have ended up costly. Thanks Capt Phil.

Clean, Convenient, Courteous, 2012-12-03
Captain: , Baltimore, MD (486)

With a view of some of the marshy islands off our port side for the sunset and the sound of the nearby Atlantic Ocean, we enjoyed the side tie on the floating dock. VERY clean, and courteous, everyone we saw here was welcoming. Loved watching the head boat captain clean and gut the fish they caught while he told us some of the local stories. We would definitely come here again.

Good Marina, 2012-11-14
Captain: , Oriental, N.C. (130)

Stayed 11/14/12. Our boad is a 43' Hunter with 5'-0" draft. Decent wake protection, floating dockside accomodations, water, electric, showers, pump out, courtesy car, helpful, courteous attendents. $2.25/ft

Close to the beach, 2012-10-22
Captain: , Rock Hall, Md (230)

The face dock and floating dock was a positive. "Sunset dock" was a pretty area to watch sunset. The loaner car made it very convenient to go the supermarket and west marine. We also used it later on to go to Oceanic restaurant which was excellent. The laundry room is in the women's bathroom. There is only one shower in each bathroom and was not able to get hot water. The only way we could get wifi was to sit near the office.

Quiet Place to Stop, 2012-10-17
Captain: , Hollywood, MD (271)

This marina is away from the noise of the Wrightsville Beach ICW stops, so if you are looking for a quiet place to stay, this is it. The facilities are good. The staff is friendly and helpful. The price is a little higher than out on the ICW, but worth it.

Excellent Stop, 2012-10-04
Captain: , Marco Island, FL (1145)

Love it here. The staff was wonderful, the heads are clean and the location is great. There's a loaner car with an hour limit. We walked to the beach, which is beautiful. They only reason I didn't give 5 stars is there's no pool.

Great stopover, 2012-09-27
Captain: , Amelia Island, FL (507)

Seapath makes for a great stopover. The staff is friendly and helpful and were ready to assist with the lines. The marina does not have a restaurant or pool as some of the guides indicate. The beach and restaurants are in walking distance and the marina provides a courtesy vehicle. The facilities are clean and adequate. The only real negative is the wifi on the face dock was weak with spotty connectivity.

Friendly Helpful Service, Nice Facilities., 2012-08-21
Captain: , Bloody Bay Caymans (46)

We callled ahead and they promptly returned call. Worked with us to sort out solution for 10 day stay that evolved to 30 (imagine that). Chris exceptioanlly good and helpful. Wonderful stores within walking, biking distance and Seapath has loaner van. Airport with 20 min or $30 cab ride. Lots to do, some good diving, spear fishing and fishing. Would return.

boats packed in, 2012-06-21
Captain: , taylor lake, texas (80)

First time there. We felt uncomfortable with the proximity of other boats docked on the face dock. Dock hand had a surly attitude. We will never go back there.

Nice docks in attractive area, 2012-06-02
Captain: , Dunedin, FL (7375)

Nice T-dock and floating slips. Help with lines coming in. We were fortunate to be in slip rather than on face dock as south winds of 25 mph all evening and night. Local restaruants, grocery not very convenient. But Seapath does have loaner car which made trip over to grocery & west marine easy. This marina better choice for quiet night as the other Wrightsville Marinas are right on the ICW. Check the bridge opening schedule before you leave if northbound.

Good Docking, 2012-05-14
Captain: , Oriental, NC (146)

Floating docks near ICW on Motts Channel. Convenient access with fuel and pump out. Well respected No Wake zone. Friendly staff.
Only small negative is limited shower/rest room facilities. Also note that Laundry is in Women's restroom, so no men can do laundry. Might be a good excuse.

Excellent stopover for the night, 2012-05-09
Captain: , Punta Gorda, FL (639)

Nice side-tie floating docks. We took on fuel right at our slip. Courtesy car available. West Marine, Publix supermarket, and restaurants nearby. Staff was very helpful. Very close to the ICW - easy in and out.

great stopover, 2012-03-10
Captain: , Bear, DE (255)

3/06/12 our first time staying here. Agree with previous rating remarks. Easy access, easy docking, capable and knowledgeable dock hands.

Great Marina, 2012-01-26
Captain: , Wrightsville, NC (270)

Exceptional service and friendly staff greeted us on our arrival. Marina facilities were extremely clean. Although we were only on 28' cruiser we were treated like guest.

Seapath Marina, 2011-11-14
Captain: , Oriental, NC (40)

Have to agree with the other reviews, Nice place with a great staff. Good floating docks and other facilities. Friendly people on the docks. When entering the marina from Motts channel, stay close to the ends of the docks, it gets shallow, <5', in the area away from the docks.

Great place to stop!, 2011-11-08
Captain: , Deltaville, Va. (210)

Came here during a gale. Called ahead and they were full. They took our name & ph # and called back when they got a cancellation! Great service, clean restrooms, laundry and you can walk to restaurants, West Marine, Harris Teeter, and Wrightsville Beach Park.

Great place in Wrightsville Beach, 2011-10-19
Captain: , Longboat Key, FL (1089)

Wrightsville Beach is quickly becoming one of my favorite stops along the ICW and Seapath Yacht Club is a great place to experience it. Floating docks (but ask to be "inside" if the wind is blowing as it can be a bit rough on the outside T), clean bath facilities (but basic), small ships store, but the folks are freindly, helpful and know how to help you when docking or departing. It is a bit of a walk to the nearby restaurants or beach, but the loaner car solves that problem.

Good place to stay, 2011-02-04
Captain: , St. Augustine, FL (215)

Have stayed here several times and found the staff helpful. On our last trip we arrived late and they stayed late to help us in. Although I have done it I don't recomend coming in from the ocean at night. Our stays have been quiet and the courtesy car is very helpful with Westmarine and Harris Teeter a short trip.

Seapath Yacht Club, 2010-11-06
Captain: , Lansdale, PA (330)

We arrived just before dark after an offshore trip. The marina was convenient to the inlet. The courtesy car was great for a quick trip to West Marine in the morning. We inquired about restaurants but were told there weren't any in walking distance.

Seapath Marina, 2010-06-22
Captain: , Daytona Beach, FL (273)

Floating docks and helpful marina staff. They have a courtesy car and WiFi. Walking distance to Tower 7 Baja Restaurant that has the best mexican food in the area. Good food and reasonably priced. West Marine and Grocery store nearby.

Great marina and store, 2009-06-16
Captain: , Wrightsville Beach, NC (368)

Nice folks, great amenities. Great view.

Very unprofessional, 2009-05-18
Captain: , Sarasota, FL - Newport, RI (435)

We called Saturday afternoon for a Sunday night reservation and they told us they didn't know if they would have space... we called Sunday morning and they said they would check and call us... three hours later we called again and they said they were still checking and they would call us within the hour... we never heard from them and stayed elsewhere!

Sea Path is the best, 2007-11-16
Captain: , wilmington (36)

Nice facilites and nice people.

Good stop, but..., 2007-11-06
Captain: , Ft. Myers (406)

Easy face dock, fairly good ship's store and helpful staff. They do need larger head facilities.
