Reviews for Sea Spray Resort and Marina
Nice marina - a little pricy for what you get, 2017-07-11
Captain: , Pompano Beach, FL (190)

No complaints really, but thought the price was a bit high. The dockage is in good shape, the bathrooms were OK, but not much else going on except the pool and resteraunt/bar. We did chill at the pool and you can walk over to the beach area.

Rates Quoted for 1 Mar - 30 April Are Wrong, 2017-02-23
Captain: , Annapolis (434)

Called today for reservations for early March and was told that the marina is under new management and the $1.55/foot rate quoted in the details is wrong. It's $2.25/ft. 50% deposit is required at reservation time and any cancellation within 30 days of arrival forfeits the entire deposit. Too bad. I think we're going to Hopetown Inn and Marina.

Great Spot, 2016-03-22
Captain: , Lyford Cay (10)

Spent a week with two center consoles docked here while we rented a house further up the cay. Clean, well run facility. Dock hands weren't always around, but when they were, they were very helpful. I especially liked that they cheerfully helped and then went on their ways without looming around looking for a tip. Had dinner here one night, and it was great. All 'round, a great spot.

One of our favorite stops during Winter, 2015-12-11
Captain: , Connelly N.Y. (353)

We spend several months a year in the Abacos and this is our favorite spot. They have a great pool, good food, friendly staff and clean facilities.
They offer rides into town on a regular basis if not on call.
With the advent of new ownership, upgrades are being implimented such as new sea walls and showers.

Super friendly, 2015-07-25
Captain: , Palm Beach, FL (341)

Spent two weeks here (mid June to early July) this year. The marina staff were all super friendly especially Paul and Ronaldo on the docks.

The place is beginning to look tired - was recently purchased - renovations planned to begin at the end of summer.

Really Nice Marina, 2015-06-07
Captain: , punta gorda, fl (1448)

Excellent docks and well protected. Staff is very helpful. Adequate baths/showers. Very nice restaurant with both outside and inside seating. Marina will provide transportation to Hopetown. We chose to bike--about two miles. Short walk over hill is great view of ocean.

Outstanding facility, 2015-06-06
Captain: , Sue Creek (153)

Overnighted there and were served by wonderful staff

Great Staff, 2015-02-16
Captain: , Stuart, FL (80)

We arrived in a blow and 3 dockhands helped us in. Penny at the tiki bar makes an awesome pina colada. No wifi but you can use their complimentary computer in the office lobby. Bathrooms were very clean.

Nice Place to get away from the crowd, 2013-10-03
Captain: , Merritt Island, FL (372)

We had a nice stay here. The restaurant and bars were very good. Facilities were generally clean, well-kept and well-run. Getting in and out is little scary at low tide for anyting over 5' draft, but it's worth it to get away from all the hustle and bustle at the other end of the island.

Nice location and great service, 2013-07-14
Captain: , Hamilton (348)

We pulled in here Jul 8 to do some work on the boat and because TS Chantal was threatening. Chantal fizzled, but we stayed for 6 days. Junior and his crew do a great job, and everyone is very friendly and helpful. There is a nice pool and the restaurant has good food and a great bar scene. The weather meant that some of the regatta week activities were cancelled, but there was a big party that went on very late for Bahamian Independence Day. We were on the outer dock so there was enough peace to get to sleep even during the party.

We met a number of regular visitors to the marina who were very friendly and helpful as well.

Nice area to walk around. Its 3 miles to Hope Town, but they will run you into town for free and pick you up when you are done.

Highly recommend a stay here.

Nice marina, 2013-04-04
Captain: , Weston, VT (570)

Spent two nights and enjoyed the quiet pace. Issue for us was depth. Came in at high tide no problem with our 5-9 draft. Got the end slip and found myself on the bottom at low tide. I think it was my port stabilizer digging into the sand as the slips appear to have silted in somewhat under the dock planking. Junior (dock master) promised us the end T next time. Easy bike ride to Hopetown. Will return.

Elbow Cay's Finest, 2012-07-30
Captain: , Jupiter, FL (1306)

Good food... Good bar... Good Service.
Update June 2012:
Same maybe better.

Very nice marina and facility, 2012-07-08
Captain: , ft myers beach (790)

Clean and nice heads and shower. Very freindly staff. Shuttle to town on request. If you are taking on a lot of fuel go to Hopetown Marina and save. Pool a fun place to unwind. We will be back.

Pay attention to tides, 2012-06-03
Captain: , Orlando (224)

My 5' draft trawler bumped the bottom both coming and going at low tide, in the middle of the well marked channel. The second time (exiting) brought me to a dead stop. The first slip they tried to put me in did not have sufficient draft (could not pull into the slip). Them: "Yeah, that slip has 5 1/2' at MLW". Me: "No it doesn't, because I'm on the bottom with a 5' draft".

Great scene at the marina with the bar and restaurant. Fun place to stay. Junior (the manager?) has been there forever.

Best of the Abacos, 2012-03-18
Captain: , Isle of Palms, SC (311)

Can't beat the friendly staff. Food pretty good, too.

Away from the fray, 2012-02-08
Captain: , Annapolis, MD (435)

We enjoyed this marina and the very helpful staff, particularly after seeing the mob of boats within Hopetown harbor. This worked for us since we had bikes on board. It is a long walk to town of about 3 miles. The Abaco Inn is a short 10 minute walk, however, and the restaurant on-site was quite good.

Great Marina, 2011-01-26
Captain: , Hernando Beach, Fl (300)

This is a great marina on a beautiful Island. Very well protected from winds and wakes, although the channel is narrow and shallow entering the Marina. They have a fun Tiki bar at the pool, and a great restaurant. Rent a golf cart and ride into Hope Town. And it's very convenient to Tilloo cut and access to the best sport fishing grounds in the Abacos. We'll definitely be back for a longer stay.

Very friendly, 2010-12-09
Captain: , Road Town (450)

Good docks ... good food ... good bar ... extemely friendy staff

A neat place to snorkel but leak your scuba tanks in board., 2010-06-26
Captain: , greencovesprings, fla. (279)

Anchor away from Sandy Cay and take your dink over and tie up to one of the mooring balls. Shallow water but excellent reefs and lots of tropical fish.

One of the best marina's in Abaco, 2010-05-29
Captain: , Port St Lucie (514)

Clean, well-run, superb staff, nice bar and pool. Jr. makes your stay absolutely wondrful. If you get a chance to go to one of his Goombay parties don't miss it! We'll be back.

Paul, 2007-02-22
Captain: , Solomons MD (55)

Clean, well maintained, friendly marina. Newly added 10 slips. Dock Master, Junior, outstanding. Great restaurant and bar, wonderful cinnamon rolls, inside or outside dining lunch & dinner seven days/week. Saturday night live band, very nice fresh water pool. Internet for slight fee. Golf cart rentals for tour of beautiful Elbow Cay and Hopetown. Short walk to ocean and beautiful beach. Surfing near by. Grocery store about a mile.
Peaceful, quiet, and beautiful.
Steve Dodge, author Crusing Guide to Abacos and unquestionably the authority on the Abacos chose Elbow Cay for his Island home.
