Reviews for Sea Harbour Yacht Club
Can i give this place TEN stars?, 2015-08-07

I am in love with this place.
Through a good friend, i was able to leave my boat here for a month in one of the best hurricane holes one can imagine.
Although a bit out of town, its only a 15 minute bike ride.
The facilities are maintained in a six star manner by the wonderful staff. The restrooms are soooo clean!!
When i flew into the nearby airport, Lisa was kind enough to drive all the way to pick me up, despite the very late hour.
Now that is TRUE southern hospitality.
This YC is not open to the public, but they do have docks for sale and if we lived closer, we would surely purchase one for our boat.
Thanks again, Lisa and Paul for a memorable stay!

Not too bad, 2013-11-16

Here is a true "Hurricane Hole"

Quiet, protected private marina on a secluded creek along the northeast boundary of the Town of Oriental. Friendly people at a rasonable price. No real transient dockage, but for those wanting a longer stay of several months, you can't do better than the Sea Horbour Yacht Club. Easy bike ride into Oriental. Limited supplies, but diesel is avvailable to those with a slip.

We Love Sea Harbour, 2012-11-06

I am certainly biased b/c this is our home port BUT having cruised up to ME and back this June to Oct I can certainly comment on our marina vs. those I have stayed in mostly marinas but a few yacht clubs. I never knew how fabulous we have it at Sea Harbour until now. Our bath house is swank by comparison. It is BIG and clean and the shower heads are great! There are 4 sinks in the ladies room and 4 separate rooms with toilet and shower. There are mats for the floor, squeegies to help keep the doors clear after you shower, a basket full of hotel soaps, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, mouth wash, etc. The best part is they are as clean as you would keep your own home! The lounges (yes, two) are also wonderful. Due to Irene taking down one of our lovely old oak trees (right on the club roof) we have a newly carpeted and furnished space, It has a mini wet bar with ice maker underneath, comfy chairs around a huge screen tv, and a table to eat or work at. The 'kid lounge' which is in the bath house building has an amazing big tv too and games etc. There are new washers and dryers too.

Lisa is amazing! she and Paul work very hard to keep the whole place in tip top shape. If you are so lucky as to get to stay here count your blessings!

negative: the channel can be a little tricky b/c of shoaling right at the last green coming in before you are then in the canal (land either side). We draw 5 feet and occaisionally find our way to inching through skinny water. That siad, we have never run hard aground in the channel.

Private (condo) marina. Cozy, friendly, well maintained club with very nice amenities. Easy access to ICW, Neuse, Pamlico Sound... within a day of Beaufort, New Bern, Washington, Okracoke and the ocean.
