Reviews for Sea Crest Hotel and Marina
Good service and location, 2016-02-12
Captain: , Point Edward (418)

Very good service from Captain Pat re arrival, customs paperwork, drove the captain to and from customs/immigration. Friendly staff. Washrooms and showers always clean. Liquor store across the street is convenient. Golf cart rentals on site are handy. Would stay there again.

Nice Marina in Bimini, 2015-02-10
Captain: , Jensen Beach, fl (20)

Good fixed dock. Good showers. 40' Minimum for $50.00 per night.

Good for Clearing Customs, 2015-01-24
Captain: , Eliot Maine (40)

Stayed here following Gulf Stream crossing. Friendly dockmaster provided us with all needed customs documentation. Rate was 1.50/foot. did not answer on VHF 16. We just pulled up to the dock and they came out and greeted us. Sportfishing vessels on docks had bright underwater lights that brought in all kinds of interesting sealife at night (including large 6+ foot bullsharks). Wifi not accessible at dock without extender. We left following day to go next door to Bimini Bluewater for same amenities at only $1/foot.

Rough marina, 2014-04-14
Captain: , Fort Pierce City Marina, FL (420)

Stayed here on out way back to the states 4/10/14. Not in very good repair. Many of the power pedestals don't work at all. Dockmaster Pat was friendly

Anchored in front of marina for one night, 2013-12-13
Captain: , Vancouver (510)

Anchored in the light blue charted water (between depths "6.6" and "7.9") and let out 80 ft of chain to edge of next blue charted depth towards the north and had no problem with my 6ft draft. This we did after being told we could not anchor there - but when we and another boat went further north we found there was not enough water so returned here. You can dinghy in and tie up to the main dock - people are friendly and helpful and have a "mind-their-own-business" attitude - nice to see! Fuel prices are high and not to Bahamian Gov standards for fuel pricing. Customs and Immigration people are very easy to deal with and helpful. Customs and Immigration is not as indicated on the charts but is farther north (not far from "Pinders Bakery"). No need to rush to get papers on arrival-fly the Q-flag and go in next morning if more convenient.

Great spot right in the thick of things, 2013-05-20
Captain: , Merritt Island, FL (372)

If you want to see Bimini for what it is (all the good and all the bad), this is the place to be. The facilities are competent but not spectacular. Staff was friendly and helpful. everything you could ever want (customs, liquor store, groceries, restaurant) is within stumbling distance from your boat. We were here during a festival so there was loud music until after midnight every night, but we liked it enough to stay twice as long as we had planned.

Nice place, 2012-02-11
Captain: , New Bern, NC (180)

The staff was very helpful, the docks are fixed and in well repair. Showers were spacious and clean.

It's just a short walk to Customs and Immigration. The liqour store, and RBC bank are across the street, as well as a local restaurant. Laundry was available up the road to the north, it's a bit of a walk but there is a shuttle or you can rent golf carts.

Not your yacht club from back home in the states, 2010-12-21
Captain: , Full Time Cruisers (2244)

This is a small marina very close to the Immagration and Customs offices. There is also a hotel at the marina. Very friendly staff. We had 3 hands help us with docking.

Captain: , MONARCH. COLORADO (1156)

Alice town itself is not much to look at in off season but its a nice place to start to fit into the Bahamian experience. The marina is fixed docks as ar all. The docks are attached to concrete pillars. The no wake zone is observied so its pleasant to be here in a slip. We were able to negotiate $1 a foot with the third night free. Electric for us was $14 a day and the owner brought us a wonderful Wahoo parcel for dinner one night. We used the showers ashore and that worked well for two. Bank, Liquor store and small restaurant with good breakfasts across the street. This is third world experience so don't come looking for a Hyatt and a Mcdonalds. If you can adjust you will enjoy this stop. Water is $.40 a gal. Staff was very freindly.

good location, 2010-01-07
Captain: , Miami, fl (3544)

Good location in Alice Town, more convenient to clear customs or to walk to the beach than Bimini Bay.Decent docks and power, free wifi (limited range) a big plus.
