Reviews for Scrub Island Resort and Marina
Great place for a "vacation", 2016-01-18
Captain: , Kailua-Kona, HI (30)

In the middle of a month anchoring out in the BVI, we decided to take a "vacation" at this marina. It's pricey, at $3.00 per foot, but the electricity is fixed, so you can crank down the A/C! For our 43%u2019 powerboat, the electric was $21.50 per night. The pools (two of them) and beach are great. Like everything else there, drinks are expensive ($12 for a regular cocktail) so open your wallet. You can take your own drinks to the beach, just next to the pool. There are free kayaks and paddleboards. The lower pool has a slide, so great for the kids.

We ate a lunch and a dinner at the Tierra Tierra restaurant. Lunch was fine, but the dinner was disappointing %u2013 very little flavor for the snapper and grouper. There is a market on site, but it%u2019s really more of a beer and deli store. I%u2019m not sure why other reviewers have raved about it. You%u2019re much better off using the market at Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbor.

Showers are very nice, with individual units composed of modern showers, sinks, and toilets. Our slip was close to the dock, but we still carried 8.5%u2019. Surprisingly, there is a lot of surge in there, so hang a couple of extra fenders. The docks are concrete with wooden guards everywhere. All in all, we enjoyed the %u201Cvacation%u201D, but too expensive to stay more than two nights. Back to the hook for us!

Great Place for mid week break, 2015-03-21
Captain: , San Diego (135)

We chartered a boat for a week out of Tortolla. We pulled in mid-week for a long hot shower. The dockmaster was excelent in helping everyone coming in (many inexperienced cat captains) get secured in their slips. Food and service was excelent and they have an excelent deli so you can resupply happy hour cheeses and meats.

French Riviera in the BVIs, 2013-06-29

Very clean and modern facility. Rather luxurious and pricy. Mega (motor) yachts dominate in the marina. Underwater lights in the marina attract tarpons, making for a nice attraction. Fantastic multi-level pool that marina guests can use, just as the water toys on the resort beach. Facility almost provides a "French Riviera feeling."

Scrub Island Resort and Marina, 2012-03-26
Captain: , Warrington, Pa (116)

We visited Scub Island Marina and enjoyed the facility so much that we stayed an additional day. Had an excellent slip for our Leopard Catamaran. The doc master was a fine gentlemen and very helpful. Both pools have a swim up bar. Specialty drinks are a little pricey. Restaurants food was very good and the service was fine. We will definitely stay there again and recommend it to our friends.

Scrub Island marina, 2012-03-16

This marina is fantastic although a little pricier than most others we found in the BVIs. We got a great slip for our 44 Lagoon Catamaran and the dockhands were very attentive and helpfull. The amentities at Scrub Island are the best. We enjoyed this marina so much we stayed an extra day. There are several pools and the highest pool has a large jaccuzzii with an incredible view. There is a dive shop, a great restaurant, deli and gift shop and several bars built in the pool aress so you can get served drinks while relaxing in the pool. There is also a nice beach with free water sports such as kayacks and paddle boards to explore the surrounding areas. Captain Paul Mirenda

Beautiful Luxury Resort, 2011-11-24
Captain: , Darien Ga (125)

A bit expensive for overnight dockage. There is deeper water getting into the docks than the charts show. Beautiful pools, swim up bar, best showers in the BVI's. Very well stocked grocery. Excellent food. The resort is very nice. The marina is wired with underwater lights that bring in the schools of Tarpon under the docks and boat.

Although I haven't been to this resort yet, I've read several excellent reviews on TravelTalkOnLine BVI's. The location is mis-marked on Active Captain. The location is:
