Reviews for Scituate Harbor Yacht Club
A Welcome spot for transient moving north or south, 2015-10-25
Captain: , Mashpee River (507)

Came in mid-week in early August. The yacht clubs launch met us at channel entrance and brought us to our mooring. Everyone we met were very hospitable. It is a short walk to downtown which has good shopping and eating

Beautiful Club, 2015-08-12
Captain: , Yarmouth, ME (180)

We stayed at a mooring on our way back to Maine in early July. The launch driver was friendly and even dropped us in Town at a restraunt by boat. Transient sailors are given access to everyting but the pool.

Very nice yacht club, 2012-11-22
Captain: , Portsmouth Ri (260)

We usually stop over here on our way to the CCC. They have done a lot of renovations to the club. One thing to be aware of is that if your in the mens showers and your changing, if the main bathroon door opens to the bathrooms you'll be looking right into the main seating area of the club and people can look right in. Just keep a towel on. Showers are all new and very nice. The walk into town is about 10 minutes with some good restraunts and some shops.

Great Facilites, 2009-12-18
Captain: , East Greenwich, RI (588)

I stayed here twice this summer, I think the dockage rate was $2.00 a foot. The staff could not have been nicer. The security guard did leave the showers/ bathroom open for us all night. There are a couple of restaurants close, 2-3 minute walk. It is about a 10 minute waly into downtown. It is indeed open to the public.

SHYC is a good transient stop, 2007-09-22
Captain: , Boston (601)

The yacht club has good facilities and the launch drivers couldn't be nicer. Despite what the cruising guides might say, they're open to non-yacht club members (but not always on busy/holiday weekends. Lately, I've favored the Satuit Boat Club for that reason and also because I can get access to the showers early in the morning before the launch starts up. At the yacht club, the clubhouse and showers are locked. (They're locked at the Boat Club, too, but they volunteered a key when I asked about the hours)
