Reviews for Schooner Cove Yacht Assoc. Inc.
Schooner Cove Dockominium - AVOID, 2014-05-11
Captain: , Stamford (20)

Unlike other reviews, there are no transient slips available. Harbor House, the next marina North does however provide transient slips. Schooner Cove used to be a great little marina, however the board that controls this "dockominium", are neurotic and make this location a strange environment. Docks are run down, services are non-existent, and if you're looking to dock your boat for the season, there are better options behind the Hurricane Barrier!

Quiet dockominium which infrequently has slips available, 2011-01-29
Captain: , Stratford, CT (250)

The aptly named "Schooner Cove" is located behind an expensive townhouse devlopment. The docks are all owned, mostly by residents of the Cove, but occassionally slips are available for rent. It is located in the East branch of Stamford harbor, which is surrounded by a very tony neighborhood. Toilets are located quite far from the docks. It's a fairly short walk (20 min.) through a nice neighborhood to a diner, ice cream stand, pizza joint, and West Marine.

Total prtection during storm, 2010-05-04
Captain: , New York (40)

Frankie and Ada,
Thanks so much for providing this transient dock. I think you honestly saved me. This storm just came up and I had no where to go that was protected. Thank god your behind the hurricane wall, we didnt get any swells during the storm.
Hope to see you out there.

Transiting the Long Island Sound - need cheap temp dockage?, 2010-04-17
Captain: , Delaware (47)

Sometimes I am restricted by work and can only cruise my boat on the weekends, but want to cruise further than my weekend range. The location of this dock is great to put your boat for the week and go back to work. $7 taxi to the express train back to Grand Central Station, NYC. Next weekend I cruise on to farther off fantastic destinations like Block Island and Martha's Vineyard.

West Marine, Supermarket and Restaurants are 0.7miles from slip.

Easy docking at the slip and it is behind the Stamford Hurricane Barrier! Beautiful setting and great sunsets ; )
