Reviews for Saugatuck Harbor Yacht Club
Best Marina on the LI Sound, 2014-10-29
Captain: , Stony Brook (20)

Tim the dock master will go out of his way to accommodate his guests. Besides the great facilities, pool, BBQ's, floating docks and serine setting. This is the best place to use your dinghy, there is a great fiver side café called the Black Duck just up the river and the surrounding islands just outside the harbor entrance provide a great little dinghy tour. If you%u2019re looking for a multi night stay, this is the place with great restaurant%u2019s just a short cab ride away.

This was our 4th visit here and obviously we like it very much. Tim the dock master and his team go out of their way to make sure your stay is excellent. The marina is set in a tranquil quiet area and is beautiful. Nice floating docks, great pool, laundry, clean restrooms. 1 mile walk to train station and cab ride to town. Highly recommend

Everything you could ask for in a club., 2012-09-04

This is the best place to visit on the Long Island Sound. The club has beautiful grounds and a gorgeous pool. Very well protected, can accomodate many boats, as the Dock Master goes out of his way to find out which members will be away at any given time. It is located in a residential neighborhood, which means a 5 min. cab ride to town, Westport train Sta. in nearby. While there is no restaurant, the club has a "silver food truck" visit on holiday weekends.

Enjoyable, 2008-06-01

Compared to last year Memorial Day:
Positives: Now you are greeted on arrival with a welcome package that includes maps of the local town, advertisements and coupons to local events. Very Classy !

Negatives: They are a bit behind the 8-ball during Memorial Day not having the swimming pool ready, delays in obtaining pre-arranged grills for BBQ, and billing errors.

Overall --- This is still the best place in the area for groups of sailboats to visit, as the club goes out of their way to make slips available for transient visitors by taking owners boats into the mooring field to make space.

Excellent service and dock assistance, pool is a big plus to this location.

Caution, approach is shallow, especially at low tide. Is also narrow.
