Dock hand very helpful and skilled. Utilities convenient and amenities first rate. Will definitely recommend.

Mixed bag, still getting their act together., 2016-08-19
Captain: , Wherever we are. (52)

The staff is pleasent and very helpful, the docks are new and in good shape. A reasonable walk to downtown Highlands. Facilities are clean and well cared for. Pool, showers, BBQs, picnic area, outdoor fire pit are all very nice.

Depth is much less than advertised. our 6'7" draft was on the bottom at a tide heght of +0.2 feet in the deepest part of the marina. Boats going by of all sorts and sizes ignore the "No Wake" zone and there can be a LOT of surge on a busy weekend.
On the outer slips, the outgoing tide flows FAST throught he marina--over 2 knots. Not nearly so bad on incomming tide. Plan your arrivals and depatures accordingly if you have a big boat!

Dock water is not potable. Contaminated by glue used in assembling the dock plumbing. Taste it BEFORE you fill your tanks!

Marina WiFi never worked for us, although there is good cell coverage.

Not what they advertise, 2016-07-27

Nice facilities, nice floating docks. Shore power a bit weak. Depth was lower than the stated stated 8' at MLW. We draw 6' and our keel was on the mud, our bow and stern thrusters were out of the water! There is no on site restaurant or bar as advertised! They are not pet friendly as advertised. They have no facilities for dog walking!

Great Staff!!!!, 2013-05-26
Captain: , Edgewater (321)

We intended to stay on the hook in Horshoe Cove overnight, but a storm with 50 mph winds rolled in as we were setting the anchor. We called the marina and got Scott the dockmaster on the phone right away. he said come right in. With the wind howling, Scott some how got us in to a slip safely with out getting blown off the dock. We ended up having to spend 3 nights here due to the storm. The staff was amazing, making us comfortable and safe. When some of our lines snapped, they drove us to West Marine for more.On the second night we were invited to go out to a local restaurant with them The marina, restaurant and surrounding houses were destroyed by Sandy. The marina has done an impressive job of rebuilding the south dock. The north dock is still under construction. As of this writing they have limited slips and a few transient slips for boats up to 50 feet. If you are transiting north or south, I highly recommend this marina as a stop over. Again services are limited due to Sandy, but the friendly staff and friendly fellow boaters more than make up for it.

good staff nice people, 2011-05-15

Nice Manager but docks/services are minimal, 2010-07-05
Captain: , Seattle Wa (200)

Tony (manager) was helpful and drove me to West Marine. Heavy current and wakes. BIG passenger ferry docks right next to the transient dock. Really set up for local fishing boats. No services near by except a marginal restaurant.
