Reviews for Sandusky Harbor Marina
great place!, 2013-05-27

just stayed for one night but wow, I was really impressed! the owner and employees really do go out of their way for you. the sweet lady, receptionist maybe, at the front desk even drove me to retrieve my car from another storage facility. then she had me follow her through town to get to a restraunt! way cool! they stored a car for us while we took our boat to its home port in east harbor. they have great facilities and are dog friendly! and, they did all of this without charging me a dime!!! i would imagine that thier service really is about service first, then, the almighty buckaroo!! ps. if your a power boater dont be intimidated. true, mostly sail, but a large number of power as well!!

Hard working crew - good people, 2013-01-29

Probably best service crew for sailors - marina is sail oriented with well over the majority of slip holders in sailboats. easy access to gas/pumpout.

Diesel Work, 2011-06-21
Captain: , Gulf Shores Alabama (748)

I had Sandusky Harbor Marine do two engine projects for me in the spring before launch. Upon launch both of the items failed. Although I was not happy with the problems that were encountered with the new installations, I must say that SHM was right on top of it to make sure they got the problems resolved. At 7:00 sharp each day they had a mechanic on the boat trouble shooting and fixing the problems until resolved. It took a while, but they did not let up until they got it right. The management and service personell were great to deal with, and they had a good positive attitude. I was impressed with the effort. Although I had issues with the performance of thier installations, I would go back to them for future projects. I still feel that they have the best knowledge, experience and skill in the area for boats and engine repair. They were very fair in their treatment of the issues.

Jerry Parsons runs an excellent marina. The service depart does a very good job from diesel repairs and maintenance to fiberglass work and major repairs and refits. All the staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to be helpful. Only drawback . . . no onsite, but this is minor if you have transportation or can borrow a ride/car.

Over 700 slips, 60- 70% sailboats. Freindly atmosphere. Clean facilities and pool. Residence of Harbor Bay YC. No restaurant. Winter storage available. Full service marina but no diesel fuel, only gas.
