Reviews for Sam's Anchor Cafe
Summer season can be BUSY!, 2013-04-25
Captain: , Marina Bay, CA (100)

Sam's is a great stopover for a day trip.
Be prepared to deal with limited dock space at peak time. Ebb or flood current will impat your approach for docking if you need to wait for a space.

Soak up the sun, 2011-01-16
Captain: , San Francisco Ca. (330)

Sam's is a great place to visit for a strong margarita and to people watch. Mind the birds though. The guest dock is not dredged regularly so keel boats do go a ground fairly often. Stay towards the end of the docks at lower tides or you'll be there for quite a while. Groceries are within walking distance and gift shopping is close by.

Fun to visit, so-so food, 2010-05-18
Captain: , Bel Marin Keys (57)

As one of the very few S.F. Bay locations offering both docks and food open to the general public, Sam's has made a name for itself. Unfortunatley, the food is mediocre at best. If you're going to go; go early or go home as the few side tie spots fill up very early.

Fantastic Sam's, 2007-10-29
Captain: , Alameda, CA (26)

Sam's is exceptional if you can get in. Very casual and happening. Watch your food..the gulls are VERY tame and are eyeing your french bread. Speaking of the gulls, wear a hat. Great place..great view. The best Tiburon has to offer for the "yachties".

Dock and Dine as it should be, 2007-01-29
Captain: , Huntington, NY (2310)

This is a happening place, with lots of traffic from land. From sea, there is often a line of 10 boats waiting to get a slip, but it's well worth it. The service and food is exceptional, and both the indoor and outdoor sections have a lot to offer for decor.
