Reviews for Salem Water Taxi
Friendly and Helpful, 2016-07-05

Salem is a huge harbor with hundreds of moorings. We have been here for two July 4 holidays and will be back! Fireworks and orchestra from the Salem wharf and also fireworks from MANY nearby towns.
Prompt launch service. Laundry and bathrooms provided at Hawthorne Cove Marina. Launch will take your trash there for you!
This time we were given a mooring that proved to be too close to another vessel and they moved us promptly. Also switched out pennants to allow more useful ones for our high bow trawler (without us asking).
Beautiful views, power plant is non functioning and is being dismantled

Another good year. Update from Mooring customer, 2016-01-01

Salem water taxi provided timely pickup and all employees were friendly and helpful. Tender capts were very helpful and seem to keep and eye on the boat. Service getting better with brewer ownership but they did have some tender maintanence issues that limited the number of tenders available on some busy weekends.

Salem Water Taxi does not take you to every mooring within Salem Harbor, particularly those within the Winter Island area. Be sure to check before you board. Other launch services may take you to your mooring. Also, Salem Water Taxi does not respond to inquiries of their service.

Cost affordable seasonal and transient moorings.

Our yacht club uses SWT for our launch service and they are very nice. The captains do a good job of remembering our mooring, despite the cluttered mooring fields in salem harbor.

We stayed on a mooring for 2 nights. It was $45 which we thought was high. The launch was fairly prompt and did take us into town. Had a nice dinner at Fins. They are affiliated with Hawthorne Cove Marina because if you need to do laundry that is where you go to do it and it is a very nice facility. We were disappointed with Salem, though as the mooring field looks over the coal processing plant and the town was rather touristy. If you like witches it might be of interest to you!

We rented a mooring from SWT for $45 dollars. The ball pendent was poorly maintained an no pick up pole was available. The balls are not too far out. Pick up was timely and they take you to a convenient place.

We stayed twice in '06 on a mooring and the taxi took us back and forth several times. They are friendly and pretty prompt as well. Their landing onshore is close to town. I believe they are affiliated with Hawthorne Cove Marina.

We've used Salem Water taxi twice in Salem Harbor. They are really nice and provide a great service.
