Reviews for Sailor's Wharf Yacht Yard
To be Avoided, unless you're Trump, 2016-02-01

Not possible to get a quote for work that you want done.....everything is, or so they claim, to be T & M.....that way they can screw you out of more money.
The ancient method of accounting the owners wife uses is an absolute joke, absolutely impossible to make any sense out of the details to find out what work has actually been completed on the Boat and what still outstanding, even more confusing if you ask her to try and explain it all to you, very entertaining.....but, it's designed to work like conceal the rip off......period.
The "Work" is well below standard, Eric is a good Salesman, but, should have stuck with Car Lots.
If they think you can't pay or you dispute any of their charges, keep an eye on your Starter Motor....they'll pull it out of your Boat without your permission, to prevent you from leaving the yard without paying, as if anyone would.....what a farce of a Haul out!!!
Spent almost $70k for about $15k of "work".
I could go on and on....but, you just need to go ANYWHERE else!!

Had Bliss hauled here for bottom paint and new prop installation. The work was done professionally and timely. It was done when they said it would be.

Keel work done here, 2015-08-13
Captain: , St Petersburg, FL (96)

We purchased a boat and had to have some keel work done on the outside and inside the bilge area. They were very profesional and did a good job explaining what they were going to do. Eric was great at taking pictures for me along the way so I could show future owners what work was done on the boat.

We were at Sailor's Wharf in 2013. We paid a large amount of money for fuel polish, oil change, valve switch, check seacocks etc.... They installed a Y valve for my generator but failed to check if it actually worked properly. A couple of seacock were frozen shut , which we were told they were all working properly. The air-conditioner wasn't working properly and the mechanic on duty said he has been working on the units for 30 years and we would have to replace the whole unit. (it was only a .30 cent plastic screw that had broken off, yet they still charged me for the advise.) I understand charging for services but when they did not fix anything and still charged. This blows my mind.

Extremely Professional, 2014-10-31

Second trip to Sailor's Wharf. Eric, the service coordinator is friendly, professional, and great to work with. Kept in contact as we came down from Maine, gave clear instructions about where to dock, since we arrived before workday started, and took careful notes of what we wanted done. Workers hadn't been on boat for ten minutes, and had an electrolysis problem located. This yard is Professional. They are clear about their charges, they work quickly, and do a top drawer job. We could not be happier with this yard.

Great Boatyard, 2014-09-01

great repair yard, 2014-07-29
Captain: , Muskegon, MI (980)

Hats off to Eric and staff. They made repairs to our newly purchased Hunter 460, helped in our move between two boats, gave excellent advise and got our old boat ready to ship to Michigan. This is a yard you can trust.

Excellent Service, 2013-05-30
Captain: , Saint Petersburg, FL (20)

I brought a boat down from Annapolis and had to have it masted, bottom painted and other work done. They did an excellent job, kept me informed and price was on par with expected. Can't beat the friendliness of everyone.

Highly Recommended, 2013-05-18

For our selection of yards, we asked for referrals from other boaters in our marina and Sailor%u2019s Wharf was never talked about in a negative manner.

This is the cleanest boatyard I have stepped foot on. We had a complete bottom job done, raised our water-line and repainted the boot strip. They did a first rate job.

We also needed to perform some maintenance on the boat ourselves on the bow thruster and Amel drive. No problem.

Everyone we talked to on the yard had a long history of working on boats. They are all friendly, knowledgeable and professional.

This was not the lowest priced yard in the St. Petersburg area. But, you get what you pay for. As we rounded the corner for our haul out time the lift was ready and waiting. From the moment we became dry to our splash down, we were treated like we were at a 5 star resort.

Haulout and Bottom paint, 2011-01-30
Captain: , St Petersburg, FL (1233)

Excellent full service yard. In the middle range for price on haul out and painting, but provided and excellent service for the price. Had several small jobs done and all to satisfaction. No quibble on delays from a vendor for the max-prop refurbish, additional days in the yard were free whilst they were working on the boat.
