Reviews for Sailfish Marina of Stuart
awesome help, 2016-03-31
Captain: , Detroit (150)

We had water in our rancor, so needed Help. Called ahead so they were ready for us. Help us in no time, filled the dinghy and on our way. Thank you, Brett!

As described, but charged $5 to fill water, 2016-02-12
Captain: , North East, Maryland (70)

We stopped for fuel, water, diesel, pump-out, and ice. The staff were pleasant and the facility is as described. I was surprised to be charged $5 to top off our water tank (about 5 gallons), but it's still cheaper and easier than carrying it in gallon jugs from the grocery store.

They go out of their way to help!, 2015-08-05

After slugging my way back from the Bahamas I found myself just a few minutes before closing so I called on the phone asking them if they could wait a few minutes so I could take on some fuel to get to my destination. We pulled in about 10 minutes after closing and the dock hand was ther waiting for us!

Shortly after fueling we found ourself back at the marina having run aground just outside the "pocket" A call to the office was answered by Kay who had us tie up at the fuel dock and provided the number for a local diver. I called the diver (at 8pm!) and he said he would be there in the morning. A few minutes before 0900 the next morning the diver was here and the props were off to the shop by 1000. Less than 36 hours later the diver was back installing my two rebuilt props!

The wifi was down during our unplanned 3 night total stay but the helpfulness of the staff more than made up for it!

If we ever get back this way we will certainly stop in again.

Super service, 2015-01-26
Captain: , Honolulu (712)

Stopped in to spend the night on their fuel dock after launching from dry dock down the Pocket. Had issues, the bottom job crew neglected to replace a thru hull screen and its attendant screws, creating a "water feature" in the engine compartment, also, I had reinstalled the props improperly. Ray, the yard manager and Brent, the mechanic, were all over it. The vessel was hauled and relaunched in 45 minutes, props reinstalled properly, screw holes filled and sealed. No leaks, properly working props, on our way...Thanks to the crew at Sailfish, quick, professional and friendly!

Friendly staff nice marina, 2014-03-11

Had our prepurchase survey done here .. The bathrooms and water was warm on a cold Florida day... Our Broker Greg Haught and his partner Fritz Krill of United Yacht sales in this Marina went out of there way to make this transaction happen and are still working for us even afer the sale... We not only have a nice Boat but new friends

As advertised, 2012-11-25

Came in on our 37' sailboat. Tied to fuel dock. Staff helpful and friendly. Only one shower for each sex, but had plenty of hot water. Good free WIFI connection. Downside - far from any shoreside services. Very quiet. Free coffee in morning at Finest Kind next door. (They own that, also)

Very adequate marina for us. Moored on face dock, had good service including an arranged mechanical service the next day. Showers were ok; some distance from stores and resteraunts, however,
Would stay again.

Would be back in a pinch, 2012-01-30

-Bathrooms are clean, but could definitely be spuced up.
-A bit of a distance to stores and supplies.
-Great bait shop at marina (they own that one also) next door.
-Very friendly and helpful staff.
-Can get noisey in the morning especially on a weekend because
they store boats in a rack and place then in the water.
-If you fish it is a great spot for access to the inlet
- A little pricey - $2.00 per foot plus $7.00 per day for power.

There is hot water but that's about all, 2012-01-27
Captain: , Bristol, RI (386)

This is not a marina for transients. Restrooms are small, showers are dark, no shelves or benches for your toiletries, only two small hooks and a towel bar. No floating docks, no cleats on docks. And at $2 per ft plus tax and electric, this is no bargin. Won't be back.

Sailboats stay away!, 2012-01-09

The dock master that met us in the evening was very professional and helpful and got us situated in our slip. After having been on the water two days, showers and laundry were the first order of business. Put laundry in, and my husband and I jumped in the showers - then jumped out about after a minute as there was no hot water. I called the after hours number to see what was up and was told that has never happened before. Next AM requested of the dockmaster, a different individual, a slight reduction in the charge as we did not have hot showers as advertised. Was very busnesslike and not abusive. He called me a liar to my face and said I was trying to get a reduced docking rate that way. I do not lie and could afford the dockage - but was not as it should have been. Then he proceeded to tell us that "we always have trouble with you sailboaters" Should have taken a clue from the fact there was not one other sailboat in the marina........

No Hot Water, 2012-01-08
Captain: , Annapolis, MD (20)

After two days out we were looking forward to hot showers.....didn't happen sadly. Also they have raised their rates to $2.00 p/ft. The cut was unbelievable for a Sailboat on a Sunday one cares about their wake and all the powerboats blast in at Hull speed. We lived down here 20 years ago and never experienced anything like this. Very sad.

Nice overnight, 2011-05-27

The staff is very friendly and helpful and the prices were okay. Clean restrooms and an easy entrance and exit.

Good marina, 2010-02-09
Captain: , Buffalo (1154)

They also own Finest Kind marina next door. Good fixed docks. Mainly sport fishing, but a few transient spaces too. Very friendly and helpful dockmaster. Clean washrooms and free wifi. Most restaurants and shopping about a mile away, otherwise this would rate a 5 star
