Reviews for Sailcraft Marina
Well protected, 2017-06-03

Beautiful location on Whittaker creek with an adjacent boat yard in a friendly residential area. Would definitely stay again! Spent about 2 weeks aboard and in the area while I kept my Beneteau 411 here for about a month while work was being completed by the yard.
Wind driven
With 5'7 draft, initially coming into the inlet when winds had been from S or SW we were not able to get in. We waited a day at the free city dock and when the wind shifted to more from the north we were able to easily get in.

The way a working yard should be., 2016-10-24

Great place to get work done, also have nice slips, short walk to town. Customer service outstanding.

8 of the 11 reviews for this marina are actually reviews for the neighboring repair boat yard with a similar name. Sailcraft Marina is a separate entity from Sailcraft Service. The reviews are valid, just not for the correct business.

Sailcraft = AWESOME, 2014-11-05
Captain: , Montrose, CO (20)

We spent a month at Sailcraft and had a lot of work done on our boat. The guys here are very skilled, particularly Mark Lucas- rigger. We were so impressed with his skill and professionalism. I believe he works on his own now under busniess name Mariner 1.

Finally, a yard you can trust!!!, 2013-12-17

The stays popped off on our Ablemarle crossing and we limped in here after receiving multiple recommendations for Mark, the rigger. The bill was half the estimate I had on the Chesapeake, we lived on the boat for repairs. Every courtesy was extended. The price was less than I expected and the work was top notch. These guys are pros and I recommend them wholeheartedly!!!

Sailcraft Marina only has a few transient slips and I needed to stop in for a quick haul on our way down the ICW, Henry told us to come on in and he would do what ever it takes to help us out. He was friendly, helpfull, had hooked us up with great mechanics at the service area....and the Marina fee was the lowest I paid anywhere on our way down

best service ever, 2012-10-18

This marina has one of the best deals around: $20 per day plus $5 for each person aboard to raft alongside another yacht. It's a full service marina with all the facilities a cruiser needs. Very well protected. Friendly staff. I would return anytime.

We are getting work done here for the second season. This has to be one of the best facilities on the east coast for working on your boat. The personnel here are helpful and the owner, Allan, tries extremely hard to get work done in a timely manner. We will be back next year to get the boat ready for another season in the Bahamas or Caribbean. Love it here!!

Great marina and easy walk to stores, 2011-03-02

Best place to get work done, 2010-10-26
Captain: , Rowayton, CT (181)

We came in for the night because friends were there and it is cheap. On Sunday morning, just before we were to leave, we had problems with the starter motor., so we decided to stay and have it checked out. At 8 am Monday, the mechanic was on the boat and within an hour had determined what was wrong. By the next afternoon, we had the rebuilt starter motor installed and were ready to go. Allen, the owner, went out of his way to make sure we had our problem solved as soon as possible and on top of that the final bill was VERY reasonable. All the workers here are extreemly friendly and competent. I can't recommend Sailcraft highly enough.

Good Repair Yard, extremely helpful..., 2010-07-04
Captain: , Vandemere NC (418)

I sold one boat out of Sailcraft and they were extremely helpful, then brought new boat in for bottom and repairs including a teak toe rail repair. Fantastic work ! Did everything on the schedule we agreed to, and all first rate. When I asked to do some of the work myself they gladly said yes, and even offered help, advice and equipment for my use. I'll definately go back again.

Great service, 2009-10-05

Going through the Dismal Swamp I bent my prop. Al and the crew took excellent care of us. They were very busy at the time but managed to fit us in and get us back on the water. We are very very pleased with the service.
The Marina is also a very economical one night stay.
