As of this spring they are no longer in operation. Rumored the Corps of Engineers are buying the site.

Outstanding Boat Yard, 2014-12-06
Captain: , Nashville, tn (21)

David and staff are professional and know the boat repair and maintenance business. Ability for owner to work on their boat is a tremendous opportunity for those who are DIY oriented. This is a busy boat yard for all types of boats and levels of repair. I would not recommend going anywhere else on the Cumberland or Tennessee river in this area.

Great folks doing good work, 2014-10-02
Captain: , Olympia, WA (43)

We've spent about a year on the hard here while doing the Great Loop, We've had nothing but good service. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

We highly recommend this facility

Great boatyard, especially for DIY, 2012-11-07

Had our sailboat hauled out for a new engine refit. Owner and workers are friendly and helpful.

QUALITY REPAIR, 2010-09-06
Captain: , Cincinnati (1810)

Bill, the owner, repaired two diesel leaks on our engines. I could not find anyone in the area interested in working on our problem. Bill not only fixed the problem for the estimated cost but also came to Kentucky Dam Marina to do the work and completely cleaned up after he was done with repair. Thanks Bill

DIY or pay them to do it., 2010-07-21
Captain: , Eddyville, KY (282)

Doesn't look llike much, (but it not ment to) very friendly people running the yard. Also lots of help and suggestions from others who are working on their boats at the yard. I was there last wk looking for some used parts for my boat. Didn't find what I needed but lots of help and suggestion from those who were there, staff and otherwise.

Excellent repair yard, 2010-07-14
Captain: , Plantation Yacht Harbor, Islamorada, Fla. Keys (4666)

When delivering my new-to-me boat from Mississippi to Nashville, my Marquipt davit's cable broke while I was temporarily moored at Lake Barkley State Park Marina, I had no clue who to help replace it. A neighbor suggested Rottgering, a repair yard over 50 miles distant. I called and they were very helpful and willing, sending a repairman to "look at it". Since I was back in Nashville, all our contact were by phone. They contacted Marquipt, got a replacement cable, and reparied my davit - all without ever seeing me in person, or requesting any advance payment or credit card - despite knowing that I was a transient. Nearly a month later I got a bill in the mail - very reasonable. A quality act! The only reason they don't rate 5 stars is that I've never actually been to their yard!
