Reviews for Romora Bay Resort and Marina
The Best at Harbour Island , 2017-05-29
Captain: , Punta Gorda, FL (81)

not as rough here as Valentine's
where they get all the ferry traffic.
after we were secure at the dock
they brought us welcoming rum
punches . Air Conditioning in the shower/ bathrooms is awesome. a workout room on the dock (also air conditioning) is in good condition. beautiful pool. We'll be back

Nice Resort, 2017-01-03
Captain: , Oriental,NC (588)

The marina is pretty simple and straightforward, with basic amenities and a cool workout room. Resort pool is very nice.

Marina is OK, 2016-06-28
Captain: , Bermuda (10)

Marina and the staff are great, but the restaurant at resort at the dock was quite bad, filthy furniture, pleasant but not great staff who were numerous but only the cook and one server actually worked and with a painfully limited menu. No umbrellas and scorching heat. The main restaurant has reportadly been closed since last year.
Just a golf cart ride away is spectacular beaches and great places to eat like Pink Sands and Coral Sands

great marina, 2016-04-11
Captain: , Miami, fl (3666)

Nice clean docks, good electrical, friendly staff.

Even though the active captain discount mentioned in the description ended in January, they gave me 0.50 off dockage which was nice.

Great Experience, 2015-11-19

Just got back from here, unbelievable stay! Have to let everyone know how great this place is - a real must-stop!

Good marina, 2015-07-27
Captain: , MIAMI FL (80)

Smaller and not so centrally located make it a better option than Valentines. Adequate facilities with a nice pool and restaurant. As is the case with all 3 marinas in the island, it offers almost no protection from any S-SW-W winds, and from the local traffic. Too much rolling for the price, you're gonna feel it unless you're in a mega yacht.
Convenient golf cart rentals and water taxi from the marina, make it easy to explore the area.

Great marina in great place, 2015-05-29
Captain: , Marion Ma (641)

Agree with other reviews. Friendly staff, excellent restaurants, pool, quiet, short walk to 3 mile pink beach, golf carts, wifi fine. Much better than Valentines.

Management response:
We enjoyed having you Captain Joe..Look forward to your return visit.

The Romora Team

First rate, 2015-03-14
Captain: , Bayfield, WI and the ICW (1390)

Great docks, rest rooms, workout room, pool, bar, restaurant, and dockmaster (mark) who knows everything important. Got the $1.75 distressed dinghy motor rate + metered electric and power. Not quite as close to town as Valentine's, but much quieter.

Just what we needed, 2014-04-22
Captain: , Eastport, MD (532)

After listening to weather in the morning decided we didn't want to be at anchor when winds clocked and picked up. (Call us wimps, but wet dingy ride is not our idea of a good time). They were able to provide a slip along the outside so we could tie up even though the wind was up. Staff very skilled, courteous and helpful. We had to move the 2nd day (which they told us up front), and they put 2 hands aboard plus one ashore to make it pretty painless. Bar is up higher so good view of the sunset, unlike next door which has only view of the boats in the marina.
Head/showers were nice, plenty of hot water (which has not been our experience everywhere). Only complaint is wifi signal could be better - even with outside antenna it was marginal unless you're up close to shore.

Great spot quiet and nice, 2014-04-12
Captain: , Ft Myers, Florida (1804)

Well kept marina, easy in and out. $2.50/ft. Not the mega yacht marina that Valentines appears to be. Golf cart rental $50/day. Rental car on main island $100/day to explore Elutheria. Restaurant on site and a waterside bar. 10 min walk to the most beautiful beach We have ever seen, beats Treasure in Abaco's.
Laundry done for u and folded at $10/load. Water .25/ gal, electric .75/kWh. Knowledgeable staff, did not answer ch 16 call till we were right next to Marina. Offered to wash boat for $2/ft.
Beautiful setting with pool overlooking marina, nice pool and lounging area. All finished! Exercise room with three new machines overlooking marina. Fixed docks.

Great Spot and Getting Better!, 2013-11-29
Captain: , Stuart, Fl (360)

Have stayed at this marina on several occassions and have always enjoyed the setting and the service but this visit was the best. The dock staff is polite, supportive and eager to please and there are new amenities and services being added. The gym facility is being completed and is right next to the office, both restaurants are now open and music is enjoyed on Sunday nights. The resort rooms are available and next season the projected condos will begin constuction. We inquired about a better rate and were offered $1.75/ft.vs.the $2.25 listed. The Dock Manager, Laurie, is working on promos for referrals, cruiser dock parties and has organized several rendevzous parties. I've spoken to her about A.C. & believe they will soon become Sponsors! Looking forward to our next visit to see what else they're done.

Would go there again, 2011-05-29
Captain: , Orlando (60)

We traveled to the Exuma's with 2 other boats and stopped at Romora Bay for 4 nights. It was great. The staff went out of their way to be helpfull. One of the things my wife and I like about any marinia is, does it have Bar and Res, does it have internet, is it easy to get into and is it close to town. This place has them all. We were crusing for 6 weeks on this trip and all 3 boats said, were going back here next year

Power Failures, 2011-04-02
Captain: , Newport (50)

Not just the marina's fault, but having about 14 power failures a day is not on. Also, to pay $200 to pump out 50 gal of balck water is daylight robbery. At least there is a pumpout facility, unlike Valentines Marina that does not have the facility at all. The staff is very helpfull and friendly. Not a marina to hang out when there is a westerly wind.

Postcard perfect., 2011-03-11
Captain: , MONARCH. COLORADO (1156)

Of the three marinas, this is the most beatifully landscaped. The pool sits on a sloping hill overlooking the marina and is the largest of the three marinas. Slips are fixed. Can be rolly in certain conditions. Its within easy distance of the town and shopping.
