Reviews for Rolph's Wharf Marina
"Kitchy" would be the best description, 2014-09-01
Captain: , Annapolis (127)

So we made the reservation to stay here one night on the suggestion of some friends. The docks are all fixed, and would call them "decent." The property is kind of eclectic, there's a boatyard, marina, B&B, a beach bar (the Sandbar), and an RV park. The pool was disgusting, so we didn't go in, but were able to swim briefly at the beach bar.

The crowd ranges from yuppies and families to bikers and liveaboards. All very nice people. The heads were in decent shape, and the breakfast at the B&B is just continental (not a typical B&B breakfast). There's a lot of river traffic up that way until about dusk when it died down which made for a nice evening.

Stopped to get fuel before departing the next morning. No dockhand available to help get tied off, and the gas is WAY overpriced, but I guess location is everything. When you're at the top of the river and running low, options are limited.

Overall, not too bad, but not sure we would head back up that way just to go here. Definitely not a "resort" marina, but definitely run by some very nice people offering the chance for a unique stop.

Sand Bar 'Bar', 2013-09-02
Captain: , Kent Narrows, Maryland (31)

There is an outdoor bar called the 'Sand Bar'. If you have a shallow draft/beachable boat you can pull up to the beach in front of the bar. Drinks are good and prices are average. Nice stop enroute to Chestertown from the Kent Island Narrows.

Long in the tooth but lots of fun, 2010-12-23

Initial impression not great; but, have grown to love this place. There is a sand beach with beach bar serving fast food. Lots of locals in evening. Good people. We enjoyed a bond fire on the beach and someone playing gitar and singing. Courtesy stretch limo round trip to Chestertown is a plus. What's not to like.

Pleasant visit, 2009-11-08

Not a big place but very friendly/helpful staff/owners. Strong currents and pretty shallow except at the one tee head and a narrown outer slip, Courtesy rides into the cute town are in a stretch limo!!! Continental breakfast included at adjacent B&B. We would certainly return.

Pleasant stop, 2008-07-21
Captain: , Vienna, VA (472)

Friendly and helpful staff made this stop memorable. Rolph's offers transients a free continental breakfast at their B & B on the property and free rides into Chestertown. The docks are a bit run down and the pumpout was out of service when we visited. Great pool and the staff make this a decent stay.
