Reviews for Rocky Point Marina/Perry Marine
Lives up to it name Rock and roll., 2016-11-02

Stopped here for the night before going thru lock. Very friendly, limited service. Fuel diesel was available. The dock was extremely rocky and roll all night long. Tows using lock rocked us all night.

Ralph was very friendly and helpful in getting us tied up and fueled up. And they have 50 amp electrical service. Great nearby restaurant with live entertainment. Wonderful place overall but no pump-out service

Only game in town, but give great service inspite of it, 2016-06-23

After a 117 mile run on our new to us 55' KingsCraft, from Louisville, (with fuel limited to 125 gallons), we were welcomed into this rustic marina with open arms, at 7PM. After a phine call to Ralph, 812-719-4143, he arrived on a tractor to pump 104.5 gallons of gas.
Dinner was at the restaurant across the street, great food, friendly service and reasonably priced.
This marina is very limited in transient dock space and only stocks 400 gallons of non-ethanol gasoline and diesel, so don't expect to fill large fuel tanks.

Good ramp, dock also, 2014-06-29

I take my runabout there will on vacation and visit family. It's easy to launch because the Hawesville ramp does not have a dock.

Got tied up and the owner came down to hook up power and was willing to fuel us. I said the morning was fine. Worked out great woke up to 6 foot visability fog. Within 15 minutes had invites from 4 people to join a party at the RV park next to the fuel dock...Really nice people..

tricky approach with some strange currents, 2013-04-25
Captain: , Louisville KY (397)

Arrived late on a Friday night and just missed the "All you can eat" carb legs at the bar! Ralph met us along with an arriving storm, got us tied up, powered up and left. Located on the channel at the approach to the Cannelton lock. The way the river turns, that was no problem. We were not waked all night by the barges transitting.Ralph was there at 7:00 as promised to fill our tanks with diesel. Unfortunately, we took all he had on hand and could not quite fill up. Plenty to get us home though! No pump out for the second stop running so tank was nearing full. The Admiral was not happy peeing in a bucket! Great people.

This is a stop which is manned by very friendly people. The staff will do whatever they can to help you. There is room for 2 medium size boats to spend the night but you block the fuel pump if you stay. They do offer after hour fuel service for a small fee. The convienence store across the street is not part of the marina but has a restarurant. The marina is located in a seasonal campground. If you need a place to tie up for the night, this will work. There just is not much around to occupy your time and some of the passing barges will wake you pretty good if they don't slow down a bit.

poor transient docking, 2010-10-06
Captain: , Waverly, WV (116)

Stayed here down and back in july and august 2010. Marina is actually closed to transients, a private dock at the mouth of inlet on the Ohio river is the transient docking only. The owner of the dock has a 50 ft Gibson moored there, so about 30 ft of dock is all thats left over. 30 amp service is available, but my fifty ft cord was not really long enough. There is no fuel dock, but gasoline is delivered by the man, Jim, who runs the convienience store and restaurant across the road, 50 gal. at a time with a .25 cent per gal charge. There were no toilets or showers or laundry, readilly available, however, Jim and his wife did let us shower in an empty apatment across the road. Docking for the night was $35, which was the highest we payed anywhere. Docking was tight and in poor condition, and power was hard to get to boat. But for more than 100 miles its the only game in town. I give them a 3 star only because of Jim and his wife are very nice folks, give us water, use of there golf cart to haul ice to the boat. And they also have a great Restaurant (try the ribs), and a very well stocked store.

Primitive but available, 2010-09-20
Captain: , Jeffersonville, IN (582)

Rustic marina adjoins rustic campsites. Power is available. A convenience store across the street has a great selection of crusing products and will fix you breakfast before you leave! A restaurant and travern exist on the second floor of the store. The docks are on a creek between the river and a public ramp. Lots of fishing boat traffic during the late night and early morning hours pass by.
