It is recommended to favor the red side on the way into the harbor.

There are two approaches as seen on nautical charts when entering the harbor to get to the marina. The safe approach is to turn to port and go around the outside channel all the way around to the marina.

You can also take the marked channel straight across the harbor which leads directly to the marina. This channel has had some depth/straightness issues and has caused problems with deeper draft boats. It should have 6' of depth but proceed with caution if you're taking this channel. Turn 90 degrees to starboard when you approach the marina to reach the transient docks.

Do not stray out of the channels.

Great Marina, awesome staff! Friendly and very helpful. First time here but won't be the last.

Always a great stay!, 2016-09-13

We stayed for a night last weekend. Always have good things to say about this marina. One of my favorite places and people on the bay!

Visited June 10-12, 2016. Service excellent. Staff handled and docked boat club well. Free hour of bicycling was super. All facilities were spotless day and night.

Nice marina, bad wi-fi, 2016-08-18
Captain: , Annapolis, MD (69)

This is my third time staying as a transient at Rock Hall Landing during the last 13 years. It's a nice marina with helpful staff, great pool, with better than average showers.

This was my first weekday stay, Tue-Thu, and I was surprised how dead the town was during the week. There was not a single restaurant open for breakfast. On the flip side, it's much quieter there during the weekday evenings because you don't have the noisy bar keeping you awake until the wee hours.

I went there to join a couple of retired friends who persuaded me to work from my boat using the marina's wi-fi. Bad idea! Like many marinas, their wi-fi ranges from barely usable to completely worthless. Usually I could get a signal but the data throughput was next to nothing. Not sure if it's from too many people using it or their infrastructure sucks, etc. Doesn't matter why; their wi-fi is terrible so don't count on it.

Bottom line, this is a nice marina for transients. They're very helpful when you arrive, getting you into your slip and giving a little orientation about the marina and town. If their wi-fi worked I would give them five stars.

Great Place, Great People, 2016-07-28
Captain: , Palm Beach Gardens (40)

We needed a quick retreat while a storm was moving in. We called ahead and reserved a slip for the night. Upon arrival they were there to help us with lines and get our boat secured. Very friendly staff! The facilites offer restaurants next door and have a swimming pool, and very clean, air conditioned shower and bath houses. They have free one hour bike rentals and free wifi. Signal strength was not that great but they offer two access portals. For those with pets there is a dog walk area. There are several picnic tables and grills to use as well. The laundry facilities were at a motel next to the office.

Can't imagine a better stop, 2016-07-25
Captain: , Rockport, ON, Canada (265)

Perfect! Staff were terrific. Washrooms clean and cool and plentiful. Local bar/restaurant was terrific. View and protection great. No complaints whatsoever. Even the over the air TV was plentiful as was the free internet.

Good docks, nice folks helping with the lines, power hook-up etc... Highly Recommend. Free 1 hour bike rentals or take the tram to the shopping area for $1 a head.

A Well-deserved "First Choice" Marina, 2016-06-16
Captain: , Hobe Sound, Florida (450)

We stayed at Rock Halll Landing Marina on two separate occasions withiin one month taking advantage of their mid-week discount rate, have been there on a weekend when the place was packed with attendees and participants in a triathalon, experienced nothing negative and would definitely go back still again. You'd be lucky to find friendlier or more helpful owners than Joe and Chris and you're unlikely to find a facility with as complete and clean amenities. Plenty of room for your dog, a nice easy walk to town or bikes to borrow if you want to ride, good close-by restaurants, the $1.00 trolley stops across the street, a great nautical consignment shop down the way, a classic marine yard and hardware store in the other direction along with the beach not too far distant from that. We've been on the Loop for more than two months and have seen few as good and even fewer any better.

Tale of Two Cities, 2016-06-14
Captain: , Charleston, SC (170)

Excellent Marina. Orientated us about town and the community. Were very helpful and pleasant. Stayed Saturday and Sunday night as we transited north and paid the weekend premium rate for dockage. Rockhall is a quaint community with very nice restaurants and marine nautical center. Have "Scratch" give you a tour. Rockhall harbor is a "Tale of Two Cities". Although not the marina's fault, the weekend is loud and crowded with voices enhanced by the free flow of alcohol. Go-fast boat speeding through the marina within a few feed of docked vessels. Friday and Saturday nights are a contest between two waterfront bars competing for the loudest outdoor bands. Sunday night and weekdays are a contrast with quite tranquil nights. Just make sure you know what to expect.

Very nice Marina, 2016-05-17
Captain: , Norfolk, VA (110)

Tied up one night on way home to Norfolk. Very helpful and friendly staff. Clean, private bathrooms/showers. Free bicycles to take into very nice small town of Rock Hall. Good restaurant next to Marina. We enjoyed the stay very much. (Concerning last review- 1c is still missing and the USCG does not plan on replacing it. check your Notice to Mariners,)

Unaware staff, 2016-04-22
Captain: , Warwick, RI (20)

This is a perfectly fine marina, but, be aware that there are problems on the approach. G c"1" is missing. Our approach was too far to the green side and we bumped over the bottom with our 4.5 foot draft. When we left, we stayed well to the red side and had no problems. I called ahead when we were arriving and asked for specific instructions for our approach. No mention was made of the missing mark. Later the staff, who was very friendly and otherwise helpful, admitted that they had not been out of the harbor this year and were unaware of the missing mark.

Nice stay this weekend!!, 2015-09-27
Captain: , Baltimore (40)

We stayed here for one night on Saturday. Nice floating docks and very nice people running the place - we called and said we'd arrive a little after 4pm but they stuck around and helped us get tied up for the night. There was a lot of wind out on the bay, but we had a nice calm night here. Plenty of air-conditioned clean bathhouses and it's dog friendly too, which we always appreciate :)

Skinny Water At D Dock, 2015-09-17
Captain: , Hilton Head, SC (909)

Entering the harbor, turning to port and transiting the perimiter channel we had no problems. We draw 6 feet. Following harbormaster assignment to the face of D Dock, we ran aground about 3 feet from the dock face . They moved us out to the T head (L head?) of D Dock and all was well. Nice facilities and LOTS of grass for the dog. Walked to next door Waterman's for crab dinner. Enjoyed our visit there to Rock Hall for one evening.

Nice Location, 2015-09-10
Captain: , Wilmington, NC (618)

Arrived to a friendly dock staff. Very helpful and knowledgable. Spent 2 days and really enjoyed our visit. The harbor can be quite tricky so pay close attention to your approach if coming southbound on the bay! Only one location for fuel at the harbor entrance (North Point).

Nice place and folks, 2015-08-01
Captain: , Georgetown, MD (133)

Well-kept marina right on the harbor. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great place on their property to walk/run the dog. 3-block walk to town, or take the free trolley.

This place in OK, 2015-07-16
Captain: , Philadelphia (90)

This is a small but friendly marina. We stayed here on 06/29/15 and had a nice dinner at Waterman's Crab House. The shuttle was a nice feature, allowing us to get into town for some supplies.

nice marina, 2015-07-07
Captain: , Portsmouth Virginia (208)

We stopped here in late June 2015 for a night. The Dockmaster had us follow the channel around to the left instead of coming straight to them across the harbor. It was very straight forward and easy to get to the marina. We had 2 dockhands meet us to grab our lines for tying up to the T head. The free bikes were great for exploring town and grabbing a few provisions. There were a lot of separate bathroom/shower spaces available and a refreshing pool. Everyone we ran into was very friendly. Ice was available at the office. We were there on a Tuesday and paid $87 with power for the night for our 37' sailboat.

Great place very helpful, 2015-07-06
Captain: , Tonawanda,NY (261)

Broke our shifting linkage, stayed for a week to make parts, big help, let me use there van to get parts and shop.

Best spot for a Stopover, 2015-06-25
Captain: , Sarnia (371)

We stopped here to visit with friends in the area and stayed 3 nights. The staff are the best - very friendly, very interested in making sure you enjoy the stay. The pool is very well maintained with lots of chairs and tables around. Plenty of washrooms/ showers - maintained but could use a deep scrubbing. Walk to the shops close by (less than a mile) or take the Tram ($1/person per ride). He will take you anywhere in town or just ride it for a tour. Definitely a place I would come back to.

VERY NICE stop-over on way to/from C & D Canal, 2015-05-25
Captain: , Glen Cove, NY (281)

Very well run, family operated Marina! Excellent dock Staff/Hands. Had no trouble with approach depth...never less than 6.5ft. at low using the direct approach.

Great Stop, 2014-10-14
Captain: , Essex (140)

We spent 2 nights in Rock Hall Landing. Facilities were very clean. Dock assistance was first rate. Immediately next door is the Rock Harbor Marine Railway which has a very complete chandlery. Dining options in Rock Hall are limited but the Crab House offered a reasonable assortment of seafood dishs and is only a few yards from the marina.
A Great Stopover.

Peaceful tie-up, 2014-10-01
Captain: , Bethel (130)

We spent a single night at Rock Hall Landing Marina at $2/ft sans power. It was a well-found marina with quick access to a good restaurant and free bicycles for a ride to town for minor provisioning. The grocery store is pricey, but the little coffee/breakfast house is a good way to start the day.

Nice place to stay, 2014-09-22
Captain: , Ft. Lauderdale (1134)

Good floating docks and solid power even on T head. Helpful and competent dock staff. Friendly folks aboard nearby boats. Tram to town. Only negative is loud, late night music from nearby bar/restaurants.

Great Marina - Super Friendly People, 2014-09-01
Captain: , Annapolis (127)

Set-up to arrive on a Thursday, but was delayed due to a mechanical issue. Gave them a call the next day to let them know we were running late yet again, and they stayed open an extra 45 minutes for our arrival.

At the suggestion of the dockmaster, we went around to port upon entering the harbor. Said without local knowledge it's dicey. Even saw a sailboat stuck on our way out.

Had a great tie-up with two dock hands to assist, and a very nice night. We were a little nervous about the live music at the Waterman (restaurant) since we have a 2-year old, but they were actually quite good and stopped at a reasonable time. Overall, the marina is quite nice with above average accommodations. Would definitely return.

Rating is Based on 3 night stay, 2014-08-29
Captain: , North Myrtle Beach, SC (3210)

for three nights, the rate averages $1.25/ft. Very good and the staff is perfect as is the marina docks/facilities. Regualr one nght stays is $2.00, so then rating drops to 3 or 4 stars. We loved Rock Hall also, a must stop for folks who like seeing these neat little towns on the bay. This town was one of our favorites.

A novice's delight, 2014-08-23
Captain: , St Paul, MN (180)

RH Landing was our choice to introduce non-boating family members to Chesapeake cruising. We and a brother and sister-in-law enjoyed our stay, the help provided and the clean facilities. We will be back!

Everything very convenient., 2014-08-22
Captain: , Solomons, MD (464)

Dockmaster, dockhands quick and responsive. Nice facilities and good restaurants within walking distance. Town struggling. Weak Wi-Fi, hard to sign on pretty unusable.

Great place to stay, 2014-08-03
Captain: , Essex, MD (51)

Excellent little marina. Good shower facilities. Pool and people very nice. Lots of local restaurants. Easy walk into town. Very pet friendly. Lots of water on approach and in bearth - at least 6 feet.

Nice place, 2014-07-29
Captain: , Bear Cr,MD (145)

We go often, 2-3 times per year. Local eateries are good, town center is nice too. The slip holders are friendly the facilities are clean and the staff helpful. Try Pirates and Wenches weekend for great time.

Transient visit 21 Jul 14, 2014-07-22

Excellent staff. $2 per foot for one night. Discounts for longer stays. $5 for single 30 amp per night. Short walk to town and a major restaurant, Waterman's, is adjacent. Floating docks.

Reasonable prices, adequate facilities. Take the direct route in across the harbor.

First choice for things to do, 2014-06-15
Captain: , Bayfield, WI and the ICW (1259)

It's the closest to town, with a nice pool, laundry, groceries, a liquor store, West Marine, great restaurants, River Rock,a great tackle shop and sail or trawler charterers immediately available. Some of the fairways are tight and it can be a little noisy on weekends, but this is THE place to be in Rock Hall.

Rock Hall Landing Marina, 2014-05-25
Captain: , Sandwich (692)

If you are looking to get away this is marina to visit. There is not much in the way of the small town of Rock Hall. Few restaurants and fewer shops. There is a grocery store that's an easy walk. The marina is in a protected harbor with beautiful views of the Chesapeake. Gas grills, 8 private bath/showers, pool, and laundry.

Great stop!, 2013-10-09
Captain: , Richardson, TX (552)

We came here after making the decision not to go up the Chester River and stay at the marina in Chestertown, because of the negative reviews. We took advantage of the "buy 2 nights get 1 free" offer and were very pleased with our decision. Chris and Mary were very welcoming; the restrooms were clean; we loved our spot on the T-head with great views and sunset. It's a short walk to town and yes, eat at the Kitchen, we enjoyed our meal...... it is closed on Tues & Wed. We also had a decent meal at The Waterman's Crab House, the ice cream at Durding's is worth the stop too. Bayside Foods grocery store was ok, a bit pricey and the produce wasn't great but when you need food you can't be picky! I thought Rock Hall was a nice little town, better than I expected.

Great Marina, 2013-09-26
Captain: , Annapolis, MD (310)

This is a wonderful marina. It is very clean and the facilities are excellent. A big thanks to Frank for his help getting Brandywine safely into her slip. It's only a short walk into town.

A great stop, 2013-09-23

Met friends from our marina and other Loopers, good floating docks, washer/dryer, all our needs met, will come again.

One of the friendliest places on the Chesapeake, 2013-08-10
Captain: , Longboat Key, FL (944)

The folks at Rock Hall Landing are simply some of the nicest people you'll meet anywhere. Helpful, professional and geniunely interested in your (and your boat's) well being. It may not be a "resort" marina, but RHL has everything you need to make for a pleasant stay. Floating docks (with great views over the harbor), clean private heads and showers, bikes, and a small town that is old Maryland. Of course, having Waterman's Crab House right there is a real plus.

Speaking of food, I have to give a shout-out to The Kitchen, a very small restaurant (only SEATS 18 people) located in town. They have some of the most imaginative dishes and flavors you will find anywhere. Be sure and make reservations well in advance, but DON'T miss it.

Finally, Unless you draft under 4 feet, I strongly reccomend you take the "perimeter route" around the harbor. Yes, the local watermen know their way through the center, but for an extra 3 minutes, go the other way!

Very nice place, 2013-08-07
Captain: , Chesapeake YC, Shady SIde, MD (101)

Stopped here during a week on the upper Bay. Staff was extremely helpful and easy to work with. Clean restrooms, floating docks are in good shape. Easy walk to "town" for shopping, restocking, etc.

Top notch marina with great pool, 2013-07-25
Captain: , Austin, TX (346)

We spent just over a week escaping some hot and stormy weather. Also ordered in a part at the local west marine. This is a family run marina and the people are friendly, helpful, gracious and knowledgable. The wooden floating dock have nice wide and long fingers and are in very good condition. There are 8 individual combination restroom-shower units. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and the pool is very nice. We enjoyed the pool a lot during the hot days. We also used the laundry at the on-site motel. There is a very nice picnic area with grills you can use -- just chip in for the fuel kitty. The entire facility is well kept.
Our boat draws 5.5 ft. Once inside the breakwater we took the advised port branch around the perimeter of the harbor to the marina. We did see a number of local boats use the shorter channel, but it only takes a few more minuted to take the safer path when you don't have that local knowledge.
We visited Bayside Foods, West Marine, and Walgreens a couple of times each. We also like Watermans restaurant and went back several times. Had lunch at The Kitchen once and it was good. Also had lunch at Durdings's and at the Java coffee shop., neither of which is as elegant but less expensive. A lot of the shops and some of the restaurants in towm are only open on weekends. We walked about town a lot but also used the trolley some. The town is pretty quiet during the week but the weekends to bring more activity. We did take in the three small museums in town.

My favorite in Rock Hall, 2013-07-19
Captain: , Worton Creek, MD (290)

You can't beat the location- town is just a few blocks away. The floating docks are in excellent repair, and the staff was very helpful. The pool is very well-maintained. Most important, the marina is located next to the best restaurant in Rock Hall- Waterman's ! I much prefer this marina over Gratitude and Osprey Point.

Good choice marina when visiting Rock Hall, 2013-07-12
Captain: , North Myrtle Beach (251)

The approach to Rock hall requires full attention especially the green can at the harbor entrance. The marina facilities were good and the staff was friendly and helpful. This marina is very convenient to town and restaurants. The town of Rock hall has only a few shops open mid-week.

We second the reviews-adding details on The Kitchen, 2013-06-19
Captain: , Dover DE (145)

The prior reviews say it all about Rock Hall Landing and we thank Karen's review on eating at The Kitchen. It has to be the best crab cake sandwich and bread pudding we have eaten. The Kitchen's hours are Thur, Fri, Mon 11-3 and 5-9pm. Sat & Sun 8-3pm and 5-9pm. If you are in Rock Hall, make sure to eat at there. There is also good biking around the different harbors.

Good Option for Visiting Rock Hall, 2013-05-31
Captain: , St. Augustine, FL (4015)

Not equal to the upscale, resort marinas on the other side of town, but a nice marina, with floating docks, good power connections, family run, and always helpful people. Does have a pool and nice, grassy, shaded BBQ area with multiple grills. The mid-week special pricing made this marina a better value for our needs.

The biggest benefit of this marina is its location close to town. Bayside Supermarket has about everything you could need at reasonable prices. The laundramat just behind the grocery store was great as it had been a long time since visiting a marina.

We had two wonderful culinary experiences: Java Rock provided a delicious breakfast for crew and friends and the Kitchen was truely an upscale restaurant - small with only 18 seats, an open kitchen, and all food prepared by the chef owner. Two Bay magazines have selected the Kitchen crab cakes as the best in the bay. Our experience would support that choice.

Great night, 2013-05-27
Captain: , Middle River, MD (50)

The dock hands were very helpful and everyone was really friendly. The bathhouses were large and clean. This marina was a short walk from town with its quaint shops and restaurants. Very helpful staff.

You'll pay for "extras", 2013-05-19
Captain: , Poughkeepsie, NY (5607)

The dockhands were excellent, met us just as we were coming in. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, I was taken aback at the charges for "extras".
- If you want a dock on a weekend, it's $2.25 instead of the regular $2.00/ft
- if you want to use cable, it's an extra $5.00
- if you want to use a bicycle, it's $4.00/hr

I've cruised from Maine to Key West and this is the only marina where I had to pay more for the weekend (except for special events), the only place where cable (when provide) was extra cost and the only marina that charged for the use of bicycles when they had them available.

That said, the docks are fine, the nearby town has a grocery store that will provide transportation to and from the marina, a nice feature. The town also provides a free bulkhead dock for overnight use by transients, they are interested in your business, good to feel wanted.

2013 May 4 good services, 2013-05-07
Captain: , greenwich cove (120)

We got the pre-season Active Captain discount and were pleased to get a clean bathroom and shower before going to the Waterman Restaurant for sweet oysters and soft shell crabs. Their floating docks put you right were the action is. In high season the place must be jumping.

Nice marina, nice people, good option, 2013-04-30
Captain: , Yorktown, VA (952)

We spent the first night at the City Dock which was great. Moved in the morning to Rock Hall Landing. Pumped out, took on water. Had full 50 amp service (only 30 at City Dock).
Friendly, helpful people.
We needed some work done on our fuel gauges. They were not working on any of the four tanks. They receommened Cullis Marine Service, Steve Cullis. 401-778-7389. We called the day we got in and he was here in the morning.
Very helpful and had the tools to access the tanks, cleaned them, and now they are working.
We walked into town and had a great lunch at Bay Wolfe and enjoyed the Smith Island Cake.
The town has not woke up from the winter but they are slowly starting.
Across the street from the marina is a small hotel with one washier and one dryer outside.
We enjoyed the Active Captain special of $1 per foot. Thank you.

Nice Marina, Good Depth, 2012-09-23
Captain: , Castine, Maine (2964)

We spent two nights at Rock Hall after having passed it by the past couple of years because of concerns over the approach depth. It was dredged in the spring and all is fine now. We approached at near high tide and found 10 feet all the way in with one brief 8 foot spot.

The marina is lovely with floating docks which was much appreciated by our 14 year old Lab, Dyna. The facilities are neat, clean, and well maintained. There's a nice pool, an area with picnic tables and grills, and a lending library in the office . It's a friendly place with boaters greeting you as you walk along the dock. You understand why when you meet the owners, brothers, Chris and Joe, and their wives, Mary and Anne. They are warm, friendly, and helpful.

It is the closest marina to town which is a nice half mile walk along wide sidewalks. Or you can take the trolley which stops at the marina and costs just a $1 per person. In town is a small grocery store perfect for filling out your provisions with fruits, veggies, milk, etc. There are lots of lovely shops and a good choice of restaurants. We ate one night at Waterman's which is right next door to the marina and was fine. But the real treat was going to The Kitchen in downtown Rock Hall. It is very small and open only Thursday through Sunday - breakfast, lunch, and dinner - so can be hard to arrange. The food is terrific (I'm still thinking about the chocolate bread pudding with white chocolate sauce) and the atmosphere is warm and cozy. If possible, do not miss it.

Rock Hall Landing had everything we needed for a great stay and to prepare for a week of anchoring. We will certainly be back again and again.

Not bad for transients, 2012-09-14
Captain: , Rock Hall, MD (250)

Rock Hall landing marina is an okay choice if you're a transient and you want to drop-in to see what Rock Hall is about. The harbor has a couple of resturants, and there's an awesome tackle shop that also has a gift shop, and sells beer and ice (River Rock).

One of the Finest Marinas We Have Visited, 2012-09-08
Captain: , Frog Mortar Creek, Maryland (20)

We have been boating on the Chesapeke for the last 35 years and for several more years on Barneagat Bay before that. In all that time we have seen plenty of marinas, but none better than this one. A few of the reasons I say this are: floating docks, well kept, clean facilities, WiFi coverage, great restaurants nearby, and above all warmly friendly, helpful and generous owner operators.
The showers here are the best set up I have seen with each one having not only a shower, but a toilet and a sink, along with more room to dress than I have seen at any other facility. Even the regular slip holders in this Marina are exremely friendly and often offer a helping hand or freely give advice and their local knowledge. My wife has some mobility challenges so we decided to rent a "Bay Buggie" on our last viist. This is basically a 6 passenger electric golf cart that is legal for street use. On the second day of our visit the Buggie failed at a neigboring Marina where I was visiting friends. I was forced to abandon it and was extremely impressed when Mary Bovee drove over to pick me up and bring me back to the Marina. My knees really appreciated that; I would have been in sad shape walking two miles back to the boat. Rock Hall Landing will be one of our regular stops every year. I should also add that those reviewers who say that there is nothing to do in Rock Hall should look a little deeper. Restaurants like "The Kitchen" and "Bay Wolf" are truely remarkable, as are the town's special events like"Pirates and Wenches" and "Fall Fest".

Rock Hall Landing Marina, 2012-07-28
Captain: , annapolis (391)

Bovee family all work to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Facilities clean, well maintained, coffee in AM, attractive grounds, walking distance to grocery, Walgreen's drug store, liquor store, ice cream parlor. Jitney service on weekends ($1.00 fare). WiFi free but signal so-so. May get connected "with limited access." We were shoehorned in and they ran lines to our trawler and manually turned us around, facing outward to simplify leaving in AM.

Great Marina, 2012-07-26
Captain: , wye river, md (30)

Rock Hall Landing is a great marina. Chris, Ann and Joe do everything they can to make your stay is as easy and relaxing as possible. The marina has floating piers, a large swimming pool, cable TV, wifi to your boat, bike rental, and 8 large clean bathrooms with showers and A/C. There are several good restaurants close by. Plus shopping, more restaurants, a grocery store and ice cream store are all within walking distance. Mid week stay 3 nights and pay for 2. I highly recommend Rock Hall Landing. It is a great marina.

Relaxing town stopover, 2012-07-10
Captain: , Montreal, PQ, Canada (560)

Very well run operation. Complete package, clean restrooms/showers, floating docks (no fuel) 1 mile from town, but Rock Hall is very small and has limited offering. Great pool, perfect place to relax.

4th of July stay, 2012-07-06
Captain: , Solomons, Maryland (133)

We got an overnite slip on the 4th of July hoping for fireworks but they actually happened on the 3rd. Could not get slip assignment instructions early, we were tld to call when we were inside the jetty. We tried calling then and no answer!! It was very busy approaching the jetty, power boats speeding in and out, one cigar speed boat was ful throttle just outside the jetty in the channel. Ended up running aground but was able to back off using the cigar boats wake.
Staff were friendly and helpful once we got to the slip.
Restrooms were not very appealing, wet from pool dwellers. Ended up sticking with the boat head.
Town did not have a lot to offer, a couple of cute shops and an ice cream shop that we visited. I must admit, I did get the best crabcake to date ( as i continue my quest for the best crab cake) at Watermans.

Great little marina, 2012-06-27

Arrived in june 2012 dock staff waiting to handle the chores of getting us into our slip, super nice people and very well kept marina, nice bathhouses and pool. Nice walk to town , great food.

Great Staff, 2012-06-20
Captain: , Annapolis (795)

Stayed here June 2012. Marina called us enroute to inform us of a water-main break resulting in no water at the marina and suggesting we might want to consider another location. Thought this was above and beyond. Docking assistance was top notch and the staff overall are super pleasant and helpful. The marina is a mom-and-pop type place (with the attendant pros and cons). Close to town. Price is also reasonable.

Great Little Marina, 2012-06-01
Captain: , Ambridge, PA (109)

What I like most about Rock Hall Landing Marina is the competent, capable staff. From docking assistance, to weather analysis, to getting around town, the staff here understands a boater's needs and will do ther best to make your stay a pleasant one.

Snug Harbor, 2011-11-10
Captain: , Red Lion, DE (712)

After arriving here from Delaware City the weather deteriorated and we decided to stay on for four more nights until the winds became favorable. The off season rates couldn't be passed up. Very reasonable. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. One hundred and sixty some channels if you have a digital TV.

First stop south for our 2011 snowbird trip. Been here several times and they never dissapoint. Always friendly, always helpful, always accomodating with great facilities along with quaint town which greets visitors with warmth.

Wonderful, laid back place, 2011-11-02
Captain: , Westbrook, CT (453)

Joe and Chris were very helpful. Showers were great, location fantastic. WE had dinner at WAterman's next door, even getting fried food cooked after the power went out.

Pleasant Marina/No frills, 2011-09-18
Captain: , City Island New York (600)

$2/ft + $20 for electric. Small, well protected marina. Very helpful and friendly. Small pool, 2 combination toilets/showers (old but clean) laundry next door at motel. Short walk to town, grocery store will drive you back to slip. Bike rentals, book exchange. Several eateries around on water and more in town. We were so comfortable that we stayed 2 nights

BEST approach inside harbor, 2011-09-06
Captain: , Cape Canaveral (86)

Best to turn left after entering harbor. Favor closer to shore side of channel. Marker 12 is missing. Do not go too far past 14 or you will run aground. DO NOT turn right after entering harbor unless you head directly for Rock Hall Landing Marina. Stay to left in channel. Shoaling starts quickly any distance to right side of channel.

friendly marina close to town, 2011-09-01
Captain: , ft lauderdale, fl (65)

Marina is closet to town, 1/2 mile walk. 3 museums and a handful of stores and restaurants in town. The Kitchen is worth the walk.. Open Thur-Sun breakfast, lunch and dinner. Owners run this as a hobby, they are food lovers and it comes through in their offerings. Watermans is typical waterfront seafood crab restaurant, which is not all that bad either.

Peaceful stopover, 2011-08-19
Captain: , Stuart, Fl (70)

Such a peaceful place close enough to town to get a good run. Contrary to previous reviews, the bathrooms are in need of cleaning more regularly. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. $4 per hour to rent a bike seems high when there are a lot of them just sitting there. Waterman's restaurant is next door and has a great reputation. We would definitely come here again.

Rock Hall Landing - a Superior Marina!, 2011-08-09
Captain: , Oakton, VA (299)

A wonderful marina with extremely friendly and helpful staff. The facilities are clean, as is the pool. I cannot think of a single negative, everything was super nice!

Captain: , Bristol, PA (56)

Talk about nice... I strayed from the straight in approach as suggested in a previous post and rsn aground with my 5 foot draft 39' Jeanneau. Within 10 minutes Joe came out in a dingy and nudged the front of my boat and I was freed immediatly. They were on hand when I docked to grab a line and tie me to the "T" dock I requested the day before.

The showers are numerous, large private airconditioned units that are well kept and cleaned all the time. No keys, just try the door and if it's locked try another...

Coffee every morning set up outside for guests, a $5 pump ot available and the nicest family and people you would like to meet.

The pool is well kept with plenty of chairs too.

Floating docks too!!!

Great views, friendly staff, 2011-06-28
Captain: , Patuxent River, MD (387)

Older wooden floating docks. Very nice (and clean) heads/showers. This is a nice quiet marina a short walk from town. We took advantage of the pay for two nights, get the third free deal and were glad we decided to spend the extra day just relaxing.

Friendly and Relaxing, 2011-04-15
Captain: , Chester Springs, PA (189)

Nice Marina, friendly staff are family oriented and helpful. July 4th weekend was a blast, fantastic fireworks right in front of the Marina. Big pool, nice picnic area for BBQ's across the street. Mariner's Motel next door is convenient for anyone driving to meet you, also family owned. You can't go wrong for a relaxing stop in Rock Hall.

Clean, warm & friendly, 2011-04-04
Captain: , Mesa AZ (1609)

Gotta love this place, owners & dock hands are just plain "good people." Every facility here is top notch. We tried several times to come when the marina was full....finally made it off season. Worth the reservation far in advance.

Town is charming, more interesting for women tho. Good museums. Waterman's was the place for oysters, also great bar.

love the pool, 2011-03-04
Captain: , baltimore (168)

We've stayed here a few times and it's always nice. The bath house configuration is perfect... each "room" is all-inclusive and private. There's a shower, sink, toilet, air conditioner, and changing area in each of the separate bath house rooms. They are clean and available, and nice and private (the way they should be). The pool area is awesome and the floating piers make it a top-notch marina operation. I don't recommend going into "town," unless you need to hit the grocery store (which is a small-town, but fully equipped store). Most of the stuff in the town is kinda over-rated and tourist trap-ish.

Fine Marina, 2011-01-26
Captain: , Smith Mountain Lake, VA (266)

Spent several nights here in september, 2010. Floating docks are great and facility is clean and well kept. Staff is friendly and helpful. Enjoyed exploring Rock Hall a lot!

Nice marina and Nice folks, 2010-08-16

A wonderful stop, 2010-06-02
Captain: , Jekyll Island, Georgia (50)

We really enjoyed this marina. The owners, Chris and Joe, were very friendly and helpful. There was a nice picnic area with a grill that is available for boaters, and the pool was wonderful. Very clean showers/restrooms, and it was "dog" friendly. A must stop for loopers!

Great stop, 2010-06-01
Captain: , Bradenton, Fl (42)

This is a wonderful marina with a small town atmosphere. The owners, Chris and Joe were very helpful and allowed us to grill out on a marina provided grill and brought out a large bottle of wine for us. Bathrooms and showers are clean and there is plenty of space to walk the dog. If you are tired of the dirty water in the big city and want to relax for a night or two this place is for you.

Nice Location, Nice Staff, Great Shower Facilities, 2010-05-20
Captain: , Middle River, MD (30)

Stayed here on an overnight cruise. Floating docks. Helpful attendants that aided in our docking. Small marina. Nice pool. Very well kept shower and restrooms and plenty of them. Close to Waterman's resturant. On a weekend night you can relax in your cockpit and enjoy the band at the Harbor Shack play. We had a wonderful time.

West Winds, 2009-10-01
Captain: , Frog Mortar Creek, Maryland (108)

The marina and the management is great and very helpful, only problem is if there is winds above 15knots from anywhere from SW to NW the location is open to wave slap against the hull on the outter slips.

Good overall , 2009-09-09
Captain: , Charleston, SC (364)

Floating dock, freindly and competent staff, interesting but small town. Waterman's resturant was excellent. Pool and motel facilities available although we didn't check.

Safe Harbour, 2008-11-24
Captain: , Bermuda (219)

Stayed one night in Nov 08 and had the most amazing sunset. The marina is right in the protected harbour and as close to town as you can get (although town is small - there are a few interesting shops and restaurants).

OK, 2008-10-14
Captain: , New Rochelle, NY (1000)

The marina is fine, but there's nothing here. The town is minimal and the Waterman's Crab House is nothing special. When leaving the harbor, favor the red marker and stay away from the green marker, no water.

Friendly stop, 2008-10-11
Captain: , Middle R, MD-Warminster, PA (54)

Protected harbor with easy floating slips. Always help on hand for docking. Superb sunsets. Extremely friendly staff/owners. Great pool and clean restrooms/showers. Access to quaint town by bike or walking. We like J&J Seafoods who will deliver to the marina. This is one of our top stopping places.

Excellent Marina, 2007-07-11
Captain: , Ft. Myers (376)

Floating docks, spotless air conditioned restrooms and showers plus very nice folks make this an exceedingly pleasant stop. Closest marina to groceries. Very good restaurant, Waterman's Crabhouse, next door.
