Reviews for River Street Marina
A very nice marina., 2017-09-04
Captain: , Swifts Neck Wareham, MA (472)

Stayed 2 nights. Found everything on my shopping list within walking distance including a new fresh water pump at a nearby marine supply store and River St. Marina supplied a 10% off coupon! Great hardware store, farmers market, liquor store. Be aware though, there are two lift bridges a block away from each other that open on the hour and half hour and for some reason they can't be open simultaniously. On a busy day there were several large boats trying to fit into a small area to wait for the first bridge to close before the second one opened. I was turning Starboard into my slip when an impatient 50 footer suddenly passed me on the right and nearly hit me.

Thank you for a pleasant stay, 2017-07-22

Good alongside slip. Great staff. All services at walking distance. Fabulous pricing compared to most. Highly recommended (s/y La Capitana)

Excellent Place to Stay, 2016-08-30
Captain: , Portage Lakes, OH (183)

Our family stopped at River Street to spend a weekend, and ended up staying 10 days due to engine problems. Really enjoyed all of the workers, very hospitable, and willing to assist with anything needed. Mike, the Harbourmaster, is a great guy. Bathrooms were very clean. Also, they have a courtesy van that will take you just about anywhere. Would highly recommend visiting this marina if you are in the area. We will definitely be back!!

great spot, 2014-08-17
Captain: , Lakeview Park Marina Windsor ON (366)

stopped here for two days due to bad weather while up bound to Lexington. Great docks and service. close to down town Port Huron and it's restaurants and marine supply store. I' recommend this marina to anyone both power and sail.

Excellent Stop, 2014-07-25
Captain: , Palm Beach Gardens, FL (1997)

We pulled in here and filled with fuel the staff were excellent and very professional.
Tied up along the wall and didn't move an inch all night.
The two bridge tenders were very helpful allowing passage even when I was a couple minutes late.
Would definitely stay again and we had a great dinner at the Vintage Tavern with another Kiwi couple, great time.

Excellent Service oriented Marina and Staff, 2014-06-25

Starting to be a pattern that could spoil me. These Michigan Marinas
have staffs that do whatever they can to help you. They will shuttle you to stores markets etc..

Good basic marina, 2014-05-26
Captain: , Milwaukee (651)

When you get past Military bridge, call the marina on Chan 9, and they will give you a slip assignment, and then meet you at the slip to give you a hand. Docks are very narrow, and fixed. But unlike many of the other marina's in the area, they provide cleats, not just the poles. Clean basic bathrooms and showers.

Staff was very helpful, provided courtesy car to grocery and were willing to shuttle to other locations. Marina is clean and adjacent to park and town is short walk. Be sure to take the 10 cent trolley tour, the stop is very close to marina. The voltage at dock was low, however a booser helped. WiFi in and out during stay.

Great Stop for a Few Days, 2012-07-25
Captain: , Newport News, VA (60)

We stayed at the marina July 16-20, 2012. Don't miss the 10 cent trolley tour! Highly recommend Cavis Grill for breakfast and The Raven for wonderful sandwiches. Great town to walk and bike or take the Port Huron buses for serious shopping. Visit the Great Lakes Maritime Center and hear narration of passing ships on the St. Clair River.

Great service, 2012-07-19
Captain: , Sault Ste Marie, MI (240)

On arrival we discovered the slip we had been assigned only had a single 30 amp service, and we needed two so we were offered another slip that did. When we filled up with diesel ($3.85/gal) the employee helping us named Andrew asked if we wanted him to pump it, which we accepted immediately. He also took care of the pump out and did not charge us for it since we bought 200 gal of diesel. The restrooms are kind of a hike away, but not
unmanageable. Very helpful staff and Pt Huron is an intersting place to visit. I will stay here again when in the area.

Good Docks, Well Managed Facility, 2012-03-17
Captain: , Point Edward (30)

I stayed here for two days in July 2011 while outfitting a boat. I experienced great service and attention to needs while at the facility. I found their docks to be just fine and their services worked.
Wifi was available inside or next to their office. I would stay here again.

old, shaky docks, 2011-08-09
Captain: , Detroit (720)

passable, but nothing great in any respect. In much need of update and repair to docks and bathrooms.

Simplicity at its best, 2011-07-31
Captain: , Jeffersonville, IN (594)

Always one of my favorite stop offs. Nothing fancy here but they provide great personalized services to transient boaters. The harbor allows easy access to town and a great view to observe the busy river. Clean facilities. Check out the Vintage Tavern if you're there for the night.

Nice marina and a great town with lots to see and do, 2010-08-03
Captain: , Newport, RI (10275)

Port Huron is quite a large city with lots to see and do. We pulled into the River Street Marina and spent 3 nights there. They have a laundry that you can use for $3 for all of the laundry that you want to do.

There's a trolley that will take you on an hour long narrated tour of the city for 10 cents (5 cents for seniors)! While we were there the Great Lakes Cruising Association had a rally and there was an antique boat show which included many beautifully restored Chris Craft boats. Wow, what a labor of love! There was also a BBQ rib competition, which was near and dear to my stomach, if not my heart.

Unfortunately many of the larger businesses are located a good distance from the old downtown, but they have a good bus system that can take you just about anywhere. We rented a car to run errands and pick up supplies. I'm happy to report that the good restaurants are located in the old downtown section and there are a lot of very good restaurants here! We highly recommend the Black River Cafe. The Quay Brewery is also good and the Vintage Tavern serves excellent food, but in small portions.

Fixed docks for the most part. A wall is available for larger boats. Good place to stop before entering Lake Huron.
