Reviews for Rimouski Marina
Rimouski marina, 2016-10-05
Captain: , Chaumont, NY (257)

August. Good stop, nice facilites, freindly staff, loaner bicycles. We needed a couple of charts and someone arranged for them to be delivered to us.

Rimouski Pumpout no longer works, 2016-09-25
Captain: , Toronto (32)

It has not worked for over a year according to the marina staff. They have no plans to fix it.

Great Stop, 2016-07-06
Captain: , Vaudreuil-sur-le-lac (145)

Very friendly and helpfull staff, lot of services, close to provisionning. Free city internet, the marina is offering free bicycle for provisionning. Fish market and stores within walking distance. Very protected dockage. It was a realy enjoyable stay.

Good overnight option, 2016-06-27
Captain: , York, ME (1880)

We only stayed the night, can't really comment on much besides the restaurant, which was very good. Dock hand spoke English. Power and Wi-Fi were great, heads and showers clean. Not much more to add to all the other reviews except that it's still the best option for an overnight along this stretch of coast, where there aren't many choices for a slow boat.

Highly recommended, 2014-11-04
Captain: , Montreal (251)

Nice, well-stocked marina with English-speaking and helpful staff. A bit of a distance into downtown Rimouski, but plenty of supply options available within a reasonable distance, including supermarket, gas station and a chandlery (Les Navigateurs 2007). Also, one of the first marinas to open in the season (I was there in late-May/early-June). Les Navigateurs 2007 is small but well stocked and the owner seemed to be able to order other parts in quickly.

Great Restaurant, 2014-07-26
Captain: , Corpus Christi, TX (702)

Docks a bit rough, no water on docks when we were there (working on it), power 30-amp. Restaurant Not To Be Missed...sumptous seafood at reasonable prices!

Good Stop from Tadossac, 2013-08-08
Captain: , Beverly, MA (1130)

Great Marina, folks are eager to assist. Bikes are loaned out to cut down that travel time. Take a ride out to the Lighthouse Museam and Sub. Marine supply across the highway. The resturant on site is excellent. There is a loosely knit community of model boat enthusiasts that have their own dock. Good to watch them put their boats in action.

Good Marina with Supplies not too far away, 2013-07-07
Captain: , Whitby (370)

Stayed here for two nights starting on 2013-06-19.
This spot is well protected and has good floating docks. The staff were very friendly and helpful - great service orientation.
Laundry reasonably priced. Showers were $1 for eight minutes. Diesel $1.52 per litre. Dockage $1.56 per foot including taxes. No charge for disposal of used engine oil.
Supplies are a little far away. A longish walk there and a taxi back at least. There is a very good grocery store and propane refill in the same vicinity.
The chandlery across the road from the marina was not worth the walk across the street.

Great town, great stop, 2013-06-18
Captain: , Toronto, ON (1729)

We did a major reprovion here. Be sure to check out Les Halles St. Germain, a market with a bakery, poisonerie, charcuterie, chocolaterie and a butcher all on site. We then walked up to the huge Metro Plus and did a big shop. $15 cab back to the marina.
The brew-pub is worth a visit and there are a number of great restuarants on St. Germain.

Very well equipped town, 2013-04-22
Captain: , Oka, Quebec (260)

The marina is very good. Good berth, good service. The restaurant at the marina was excellent (but they don't have Air Conditioning so beware if it's too hot). Stores are not near but by bike, it's ok. Lot's of friendly people. A good place to get local information about the Saint-Lawrence's Estuary and Gulf.

Good food, staff, adn town, 2013-01-31
Captain: , Gloucester, MA (806)

Excellent food at the marina, outstanding staff, and an interesting town to explore.

Great restaurant, marine store nearby, 2012-07-24
Captain: , Bayfield, WI and the ICW (1259)

Used free bikes to get to groceries and big stores. The onsite eating was definitely fine dining.

Rimouski Marina Yacht Club, 2012-03-05
Captain: , Olcott, NY (2536)

We've stopped here in Rimouski four times now and find it an excellent port.
Ditto what the others have said.
There is a marine supply store just almost straight across the highway (4 lane) behind the marina.
Nice bike ride into town.
Large tidal range.
Great docks and friendly staff.
Free loaner bikes.
Ferry terminal if you want to take a holiday away from the boat and take another one that someone else is driving. The opposite shore is worth a visit.

Great stop, great marina, 2011-10-19
Captain: , Solomons, MD (1915)

The staff is very helpful. Restaurant on the premises is very good. Bicycles make it easy to ride into town. Canadian Tire is close as are other stores. Tim Horton's (of course!) is also close by. Very well protected basin.

Captain: , Oriental, NC (1148)

Rimouski is a great place to get marine hardware and supplies. The marine hardware store is very accomodating and can order most things and have them there the following day. The docks are floating and well maintained but there is a swell that rolls in; not too bad but noticeable.

The showers and heads are small but clean. It costs $1.00 for a shower. All in all this is a good place to "grub up" and get things you might need. There is a "Walmart", Reno Depot (similar to Home Depot) and many of the other stores we have in the States. I find the prices here are much cheaper than on the other side.

Perfect English, 2011-08-01
Captain: , Sodus Point, NY (678)

This was our fist stop in 3 weeks where we had no language barrier. They live up to their advertisement. Overally helpful and knowledgeable staff. 15/20Amp service at the dock. Well protected. Pay showers and free WiFi.

Marina de Rimouski, 2010-11-14
Captain: , Baie-Comeau (170)

It is about one of the marinas the best equipped in the Estuary. We can use bicycles to go to town. Good restaurant on site.
There is a Multimedia visit of a SUBMARINE nearby! Verry interesting.

Great Place, 2010-10-16
Captain: , North Myrtle Beach, SC (3210)

They can help you do just about anything here, and the town is neat too.

Nice floating docks, easy bike ride into town, 2010-03-02
Captain: , Sarasota (1427)

Standard model marina for this area - government wharf where the fishing fleef used to berth, floating docks added with a breakwater to attract recreational boats. Helpful staff. Know someone who replaced an engine here, so mechanics are available. Lots of restaurants in town - big city actually, about 30,000 population.

OK Docks, Fuel available. Lots of shopping relative to area, 2008-08-10
Captain: , Newport, RI (10275)

Docks are in OK shape. Friendly English speaking staff. Fuel dock buried by shore. Pumpout is $15. OK bathrooms. Lots of shopping/parts relative to area. They can haul your boat via crane. Well protected.
