Reviews for Richards Landing Municipal Marina
this is great, 2016-08-15
Captain: , St. Joseph Island, Ontario (189)

One of the best stops on the way to Sault Ste Marie and Lake Superior. Great little grocery store, ice cream shop and dining with a hospital thrown in.

very nice, clean and well run small marina. its location and staff are excellent and the town is small, but cute. Good mid end Italian restautrant on the premises. liked it so much we came twice!

Nice little town and good marina, 2015-08-11
Captain: , Essex, CT (1675)

The marina is small but very serviceable. Clean showers, good docks (although very few that can handle over 35") and willing staff. The town is small, but charming. Don't miss going to Camille's Island Cafe. It's terrific. Good, well prepared food at a reasonable price. Grocery store was fine. And our thanks to the happy couple that was married while we there. Dad celebrated with a fantastic fireworks display right over our the marina!

Andy Griffith would approve of this town, 2015-07-14

It is a delightful step back in time almost. A great place to decompress. Everything is at a pretty relaxed pace here. The dock master and dock hand were as usual very friendly and helpful. They put us on the end of one of their 3 T docks with either 30 or 50 amp service available at the pedestal. The water was rust free and was very useable on our boat.

The restaurant at the marina has new owners this year. The food is excellent and priced accordingly. There is a smaller diner in town that serves large portions for modest prices. The small market is still inoperation with many fresh veggies from local sources. They have 2 shower facilities which are very nice. A $5 deposit gets you a key and is returned to you when the key is turned in.

It is a great stop. If you bring bikes (if not they are available for rent) there are several rides the harbor master will give you information on to see the quaint island.

Cute little town, great marina, 2014-08-12

We've been enthralled with all the small towns on our trip up the Georgian Bay and North Channel. This is no exception.

The Marina is nice, with floating docks. Dock hands are super nice and know about the area. Ask and they are happy to give you a history lesson. Very nice boaters lounge with a large screen TV and a great view of the river.

There is a place to eat at the Marina and a place downtown. There is a mini-supermarket, the meat selection was great. Recommend checking it out.

Captain: , Naples, FL (1096)

The staff are great. The facilities work. The townspeople are friendly. It is Mayberry on the water. The grocery store is small but has good products. A great place to decompress.

One of our favorite stops, 2014-08-04
Captain: , Austin, TX (877)

This stop is a must. We enjoyed Ray, the dock master and his friendly crew. The marina is spotless, the on site restaurant was wonderful, the grocery was small, but has fresh veggies, homemade bread, and an onsite butcher. The marina had good wake protection and good depth. A very enjoyable 3 nights ( stay 2 get 1 free).

Hidden gem!, 2014-07-10

I would not have found this place if it wasn't for a friend recommending it and man was it worth it! Very small quaint town, gift shops, groceries and ice cream. This is worth a stop over!

A Great Stop, 2013-08-20
Captain: , Britt, Ontario (711)

The marina is very nice, the on sight restaurant is very good and the town is well worth the short walk with a small but well stocked grocer, gift shops and more. I would go out of my way to stop here again.

Excellent Marina in a small town, 2013-04-29
Captain: , Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario (10)

The marina facilities are always clean, well maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant and patio bar at the marina are worth the trip. Groceries, liquor store, ice cream parlor, and bookstore are within a block of the main building. Always a pleasure to visit.

Richards Landing Marina is Convenient, 2008-10-29
Captain: , St. Joseph Island, ON (137)

This marina is very convenient for accessing St. Mary's river. Sault Ste. Marie is approximately 30 minutes at 25 knots and Detour is approximatley 50 minutes at 25 knots.

Marina has great protection from weather and is very safe for your vessel.
