Reviews for Reynolds Park Yacht Center
Great place to commission boat, 2016-11-03
Captain: , Kingston, Ontario (1890)

Update, still a great place, but not much room for transients.
Liveaboards, and spots for thier increased storage customers take up majority of spots available.

Friendly staff, good prices and nice platforms on pier.
Not a lot of staff avail so should be prepared to tie your self up on arrival, but lots of Liveaboards so good chance of someone to help.
Lounge/Kitchen/Laundry/Showers very nice and comfortable. Very clean. No shopping within walkiing distance.

Friendly place with all the basics, 2015-12-17
Captain: , United States (2498)

We spent a week here, visiting Green Cove Springs and getting some projects done around the boat. Inexpensive dockage with resonable electricity rates and a free pumpout wagon that comes around weekly. Nice lounge facility is a fairly long walk from the dock. WiFi worked well on the boat and was resonably fast.

The only things keeping me from awarding the fifth star are the distance from town (you really can not walk to anything at all) and the funky arrangment of ladders and fenders that allow small craft to tie alongside this concrete pier built for destroyers. These latter items required some gymnastics to get on and off the boat, and also demanded precision boat handling skills. Getting lines on and off the enormous cleats and bollards was a challenge.

Surprised by lack of ..., 2014-11-25

Was coming in from Charleston SC, needed a place to tie up till I could arrange haulout. This was at 1600 on a Friday afternoon. Couldn't get anyone to assist coming in on one engine alone but found out shortly after that the staff was too busy giving my sister and a friend a hard time and would not allow them on the dock. Stayed the nite then moved to Doctors Marina.

Good for short stays, 2014-11-17
Captain: , Ft. Collins, CO (285)

We are having Holland Marine look at some work on our boat and he suggested we stay at Reynolds due to his full docks. Reynolds is on one of the old WWII navy docks which are fixed and high. Reynolds has installed some nice bumpers and steps that make docking and getting to the dock from the boat much easier. One of the dock hands went way beyond and stayed on the dock with us as a major storm hit with 40 mph winds and heavy rain. Reynolds is closer to town than Green cove springs and I would definitely stay here again. The amenities are great with a boater lounge that has a full kitchen, seating area, large TV, and lending library as well as a great washer/dryer set up. I would definitely stay here again. Tom Holland of Holland Marine came over and gave us an estimate on some work we needed done.

Nice overnight stop, 2013-08-30
Captain: , Oviedo, FL (200)

Wish they had floating docks but overall not a bad experience. I am a repeat customer and will stop by again if I am ever down that way.

Great for docking & facility. Unfortunetly uses Holland for transport to their storage yard., 2012-07-10
Captain: , Los Angeles (40)

Good staff here. Nice lounge, and people liveaboards. Captain David Pidden is helpful. Just need to avoid Holland facility. Feel freee to email me for that story Capt Steve Martin (Kf6wqy@yahoo.com)

Great place for serious liveaboards, 2011-04-19
Captain: , Nashville,TN (437)

A very special place! The huge concrete/steel docks once accomodated the US Navy mothballed fleet. Now one dock is for cruisers and some others are used for commercial marine business. The old housing area has been cleared, leaving many acres of park-like solitude for dog walking and strolling.
Dockmaster Captain Dave is a jewel and always helpful. Docks are high and boat access can be awkward but we love it anyway. Power, water, etc are first class. Docks cleats are gigantic (think battleships!) Park your car next to your boat.

Live aboard 3 years, 2010-02-07
Captain: , Green Cove Springs (123)

This has been my home port for 3 years now and from what I have found it is the best Marina on the St John's River. When I first moved here there was alot of group cook outs but they have cut back some. The clubhouse is beautiful, has a full kitchen, dinning that sits 10 and sofa chairs for watching the 36" TV, there is a computer there anyone can use. When things do break as things do the dockmaster Capt. Dave some how gets them fixed fast. They are working on a go cart track right now and I think a put put golf on location and should be open soon.

This is a great place for a live aboard family, school bus stop, alot of room for the kids to play and in the 3 years here I have never heard of any crime.

This is the type of place people look after eachothers boats, if you are away and a line breaks myself or others will board your boat place new lines and then inform the Capt. then we have been on your boat.

Stoms normaly come from the northeast and they have some very big ships on dock #1 to help block the wind and on the floating dock its even better.

I know Fay was not a very bad storm but I stayed on my boat with no fear, I walked the dock every 3 hours checking other boats, one of the finger piers sank and the Dockmaster paid to have Holland Marine come move the boat tied to it. The dock took some damage but not one boat had any damage.

Unique Marina, 2009-12-13
Captain: , Lewes, DE (2517)

Dockmaster is very accommodating in trying to fit boats into marina and will help in getting both boat parts and maintenance people to the dock. Marina itself is a couple of miles from town where there is a grocery store and restaurants. Marina is considered a good hurricane hole due to concrete piers and wide river to absorb surge.
