Reviews for Red Eye's Dock Bar
Good Afternoon Stop, 2015-10-12

Mixed crowd a lot of bikers but everyone got along.Nice place to watch a football game. Sat on the dock had a drink and lunch.

Radio ahead to find out where to tie up., 2015-07-08
Captain: , Portsmouth Virginia (208)

We stopped here for lunch in June 2015. We knew exactly what the current and wind were doing and exactly when the current was going to switch. We decided to dock with the current (harder to do) so that when we were finished with lunch the current would be against us and it would be easy to leave the dock. Because of the following current it took us a couple passes to tie up along side the dock. It was a weekday and there were no other boats around so we tied up right in front of the bar with several employees watching us. After we were along side and all tied up a young girl came over and asked if we were just waiting for the bridge opening. When she found out we where there for lunch she asked if we could move our boat because it would be a lot harder to move it after we ate. I explained that actually it would be harder now and easier later, she argued saying that she knew what the current would be doing because she worked the lunch shift last week. I told her I would be happy to move if I was in a spot that she didnt want me in but if she wanted me to move because of the current I would prefer to stay. She said "Fine" and let us stay. It was a weird conversation. I have been here years ago and even though I am a sailboater I enjoy the power boater and Harley type crowd. Sitting at the bar 10 feet from your boat and eating fresh oysters and drinking cold beer is a good way to live. By the way, leaving into the current with our 37 foot sailboat was as simple as casting off the lines and pulling away. I almost gave Red Eyes 3 stars because of the misguided dock girl and the frazzled bar tender (her computers didnt work) but I have been here twice and left with smiles both times. P.S. dont miss The Big Owl Tiki Bar just south of the Bridge if you can get a spot along side there.

Not my style but looks like fun, 2014-06-27

tank tops and bikinis with fake inserts - did I just say not my style???

other reviews pretty much sum up this place - I guess worth a try but not with a family.

This is a great place for people watching and so-so bar food. We always have a good time here.

If that's your crowd then have at it! Otherwise stay away.

Party central on the Eastern Shore, 2011-09-06
Captain: , Annapolis (795)

The crowd is mostly biker-types, powerboaters, and youngsters, but you'll find plent of middle aged folks there as well. It's an out doors kind of place with an open-air stage and Key West style bars and decor. Food is tolerable, the drinks are reasonable, the wait staff more than adequate for this type of place and the bands tend to be pretty good. Of course, there are plenty of bikinis and and a party atmosphere. There are no other places that come close to Red-Eye on the Bay and nothing like it on the Eastern Shore.

Convenient lunch place, 2010-09-13
Captain: , Baltimore (346)

Free docking right next to the restaurant, many pilings have lines. Attendants will likely point out a place and may even assist you (they may expect a tip?). Food is decent (not more) and surprisingly reasonably priced for the location (various sandwiches with fries and slaw under $10.-).

Can be an interesting crowd (Harley-Davidsons meet cigarette boats...)

Very convenient, god food, 2010-07-26
Captain: , Cornwall PA (421)

Red Eye's is a legend because of its convenience, (right in the Narrows) good (not great) food, and of course the Sunday Bikini Contests. Try it out- even without the bikinis, it's a great place to stop!
