Reviews for Ralph's Fishing Station and Marina
Friendly, easy to dock, but few slips and limited shore resources, 2017-09-03
Captain: , Peekskill, NY (71)

Stayed there a night in July 17.
Pros: Long side-tie dock for fuel and supplies, so very easy to tie up. Prompt replies on radio, and a competent young man to catch lines on the dock. Woman running the launch very nice. Ice, fuel, beer etc. right in their shop.
Cons: The restaurant is much more of a snack bar, with pretty mediocre burgers, fries, etc. It is a very long walk to a real store/deli in town if you want more substantial provisions. Launch only runs to 8pm, and the moorings are across the nav channel, so rowing a dink is out of the question.

Stopped for one night. Great staff, helped bring the boat side to. Great little restaurant on site. We needed to go the town dock for a pump out. There were three launches, including a pump out boat not being used. That made dock space a challenge. Overall, the harbor is worth a visit because of the nice service at Ralph's and also the nature trail along the Sound. I'd go again.

Beautiful beach marina had entertainment and restaraunt supplies, 2017-01-05

Weekly moorings, 2016-07-14
Captain: , Brookhaven, NY (396)

Kept the boat on the North Shore for a few weeks and got a transient mooring for $150/week. This included launch service. Seemed like nice folks, good price, no problems.

As of 7/11/16 I'm on my own mooring in Mt. Sinai. I bought the mooring from Ralph's, who dropped it for me as well. Very nice family business. Great people to work with.

Strong tide at moorings!, 2014-07-12
Captain: , Muskegon, MI (778)

7/9/14 We took a mooring right in front of the marina. When the tide changed from ebb to flood, it really came ripping in. Our boat and the others right by the inlet were swung around and around, forcing us over the mooring ball multiple times, not fun! The other comments are all pretty spot on, maybe with the exception of the Angus burger. It was good, but, in my opinion, no where near "Best on the Planet"! Nice people, and yes, launch service is included in the mooring price, which is now $40.

Relaxing, Out of the Pt Jeff excitement, 2013-09-03
Captain: , Lincroft (184)

Took mooring ball on Sat night 8/24/13. Had free outside entertainment Pop/Rock oldie band on patio. Lot's of laid back locals were there enjoying food. Sold bottled beer in addition to fishing supplies inside, staff very friendly. Launch was included with ball and was prompt. Boaters were very polite in minimizing wakes.

The "Roost" makes simply the BEST Angus Burgers on the planet.

Nice folks - Inexpensive Mooring, 2011-09-16
Captain: , Padanaram, MA (259)

Inexpensive mooring - $30 per night includes launch service - we have family near here so we had folks picking us up. Quiet harbor with good protection.

Great Folks, 2011-08-10
Captain: , Dorset, VT (357)

We spent three weeks at their dock in the fall of 2009 doing some refit projects. The treated us so well. Family run. Much easier place to deal with than Port Jeff...

Another great review, 2010-09-14
Captain: , Treasure Island, FL (221)

Pulled into Mt. Sinai harbor rather than Port Jeff. Good choice for a nice relaxing stop. Friendly folks all around. Good sandwiches, fries, etc. at snack bar.

Fun Place to stop, 2010-09-10
Captain: , frenchman cay bvi (12)

Stopped over on my way south. Got a mooring from Keith for the night at $40. The launch driver Jill was great. Their dock kids were helpful with ice, fuel and our needs. The people on the dock invited us for cocktails. I said to Keith "We couldn't believe what friendly New Yorkers". He replied " That 's because we are Islanders". Great service great people

Nice Little Stop Over, 2008-06-12
Captain: , Annapolis, MD (16)

Nice facility...Real simple food is available. Fuel prices were reasonable for the area. Not much to do at this location, but has a great swimming beach. We picked up a mooring as slip space was unavailable at the time.
