Reviews for R and B Boat Yard
Great experience, 2017-05-24

Robert (owner) was very helpful. He got us in quickly for a prop change and charged a fair price. Would strongly recommend!

Needed a bottom job and wax on a 48 Cat, 2015-08-01
Captain: , Lake McQueeney Texas (20)

No problem for Robert and his team. Haulled out, pressure wash, light sand and then 2-3 coats. After a full wax of both hulls, boat looks terrific and back in the water with no fuss. Would highly recommend.

The place to be if you need repairs, 2015-07-27
Captain: , MIAMI FL (80)

Came to Spanish Wells with a dripping shaft seal. Owner Bruce responded quickly and fixed the problem. They have the capacity to haul out boats up to 90 ft which gives you peace of mind if you are in the area and need some urgent repairs.

A friend was having his bottom done here. We came due to an inverter issue. Robert was very helpful although I did not have him do any work. We docked for 2 nights for $1/ft plus metered electric. Docks are a bit shopworn but they have a well stocked ship's store and we were able to pick up odds and ends we needed.

Efficient, knowledgeable service at a reasonable price, 2014-02-07
Captain: , Chicago (141)

We came to R & B to have some bottom work done. It is the only place in the Bahamas besides in Freeport that can haul a boat our size out of the water (48' cat). We were out in less than 2 full days and the cost was very reasonable. They also helped us with parts for our raw water filter. They know what they're doing and seem very above board in their operations. They do a brisk business and want to make sure that repairs move along (which is good for both sides).

No Small Thing, 2013-12-22

R&B make their living working on the local fishing boats and some large power boats. They stay busy and it's hard to get their attention on smaller boats and smaller projects. They're very nice and will refer you to more appropriate outfits for services on cruising boats. They steered me to Charlie Pinder at OnSite Marine, who did a very good job for my boat.

Very Helpful and Accomodating, 2012-09-26
Captain: , Sarasota, FL (121)

Contacted R&B after incurring damage from a grounding. They were great in coordinating the date/time to haul the boat so we could continue to enjoy our time before having to pursue repair. After hauling and surveying the damage, they discussed my options and were straight forward in suggesting that I would be better served having the repairs completed in the States. Helped in securing the boat until we could have it taken stateside and were very fair in the charges.

While never happy to need service while on a cruising vacation, these re the guys to deal with if you are in that situation.

THEY ARE THE BEST, 2012-02-25
Captain: , STUART FL (171)

Needed parts for my windless, I knew what and where to get the parts but shipping was a problem UPS wanted $280.00 for a small package. I went in and talked to Robert (one of the owners ) he went out of his busy schedule and contacted my supplier and told them how to ship the parts ($85.00 ) . I picked up the parts a week later in Rock Sound. If it hadn't been for Robert I'd Probably still be waiting for UPS. What a great guy.

Haulout for Cats and great supplies for boaters, 2012-01-01
Captain: , Portsmouth (163)

This place is stocked well. Truely a soup to nuts place for most of your boat repair needs. They even lent me some tools and showed me how to repair a situation while the boat was in the water- that I was sure would have to come out on their ramp to fix- saved me lots of money.
