Reviews for Queen Anne's Battery Marina
Queen Anne Battery Marina, 2014-02-15
Captain: , Torquay (220)

We kept our first boat there and have many happy memories of QAB.
Plymouth Sound is great for sailing.
Footbridge is a pain and QAB did screw up our rally booking and wrongly sent some members away. Can't forgive them for that.
Visitors have to pay for car parking. I can think of better places to park

Good facilities but very expensive, 2013-04-03
Captain: , Conwy, N. Wales (13850)

This is a good marina with very good facilities. There are many on-site marine businesses here which will handle any maintenance or repair requirements. We found the walk into town on a cold March evening quite long (even hardened as we were from sailing in cold conditions) and coupled with the foot bridge annoyingly closing at 2130 - we have to ask why - we got a taxi back to the marina from town. There are a wide range of restaurants and bars, we had a fantastic meal at The Fisherman's Arms, even though it was a Monday and they were only serving their bar menu, it was better than many restaurant menus we've experienced! The real problem with this marina is the cost. Berthing here is very expensive - the most expensive we experienced by far in our recent trip along the South Coast and up to Wales. If the marina can sort out this overpricing then this review would be four or five stars.

Great access to suppliers, 2012-08-05

The adjacent industrial business park houses nearly all the top boat maintenance companies in the area. It is also walking distance to an enormous chandlery. So if you need any work done this is the marina to head for.

Queen Anne´s Battery, 2012-08-04
Captain: , Orust (1863)

Nice located close to old town. The bridge over the lock closes at 21:30. Friendly staff. Limited space for visitors.

Good location, 2010-10-03
Captain: , Gosport (294)

Handy for the sights and good cafe and curry house nearby.

Bit pricey but nice., 2010-09-09
Captain: , UK South Coast (534)

Picturesque location. Short walk to some interesting sights. Very handy for the aquarium with a first class greasy spoon Cafe round the corner. We were there in a Southerly and it didn't cause too much bouncing around. Showers are a bit cramped and tatty.
