Reviews for Quarterdeck Marina
Couldn't be bothered with us, 2014-04-19
Captain: , Cowichan Bay, BC (838)

We called them the Thursday before Good Friday. Wanted to stay through Easter weekend but they weren't interested - claimed they were closed. They clearly weren't closed and they have lots of empty floats. We stayed at the Fisherman's Wharf so we were fine but it will be a frosty Friday in aitch ee double ell before we call Quarterdeck again.

Well protected harbor, but a fair walk to town, 2014-01-06

Docks were rather wobbly. Restrooms and shower only open during office hours. Dinner at the pub was good.

Great Staff, 2013-08-18
Captain: , Yucaipa, CA (146)

We came in here in August 2013 disabled and without reservations on a holiday weekend. The marina manager, Lisa, was a jewel. She made sure we had a spot for easy access. She made us welcome and was most accomidating. She helped us find a great diesel mechanic (Black Cat Repairs, LLC), gave phone suggerstions, dinner recommendations and was all around great to deal with, as was the rest of the staff.

This is a working marina without a lot of pretenses. Reasonable rates, good access, wifi, liquor & small grocery store, Nice hotel and restaurant on site.

Hope to return someday.

Accomodating and friendly, 2012-09-19

Made reservations over the phone for a 70 footer. Fueled......Getting into the fuel dock with that size vessel in light of the adjacent boat ramp can be a bit tricky....Just have to wait for the traffic to clear out. It's a family operation. While fueling they purchased some muratic acid for us at a local store. There is a pleasant restaurant adjacent to the marina.

Very snug , 2012-07-15
Captain: , Vancouver, BC (12)

Good place for walks and chance to reprovision. Lots of fishing and marine supplies, NAPA and hardware, etc.

It is blowing out there - 25-35 knots and 3.5 meter seas, but calm in the harbor. The comments about pushing you out if you want to stay longer than you booked are very unfair., unless you are OK with arriving with a reservation and not having a spot.

Staff is very oriented to being accommodating and flexible". Check out Port Alexander and other anchorages nearby if you are stuck.

Agree that WiFi not available. Just go to Guido's coffee shop or Mall for free connections.

WHAT A DUMP, 2011-07-09
Captain: , Friday Harbor, WA (490)

If you must stop for fuel or weather then this is a safe harbor. Dog are old..not really close to town. Internet did. Not work and they push you out if they are booked the next day. Again there is little choise up here. Port McNeill is much better

Great folks, 2011-05-05
