Reviews for Quality Inn Marina
The Dockage is only for Hotel Guests., 2016-07-24
Captain: , St Louis (12)

The new policy (2 years ago) provides for no dockage without a room.
Dockage with a room is however complimentary.
We stayed one night. They gave us a reduced rate. It was about egual to about what the marinas are charging for our size boat.

Docks but not Marina, 2014-09-30
Captain: , Jacksonville,Florida (155)

This is an average place at best. The hotel is old and the rooms are not well kept. The docks are ok but they are just docks. Convenient to downtown and OK for short stay.

This is not a marina, 2013-05-01
Captain: , Punta Gorda, Fl (880)

This is not a marina. If you are looking to dock your boat for the night this is the place to go. The docks are fixed wood with lots of bird poop. The electric did work-30/50. No docking assistance. The dockage is free with $60-70 motel room. The hotel is very nice-clean and updated. Staff friendly. Beef O'Brady's restaurant in hotel. Nice hot buffet breakfast included with stay. Pet friendly. Nice pool. Short walk to town. The town is economically depressed, with many vacant storefronts. Lots of antique and second hand stores, and many lawyer offices. We had dinner at Angels, the oldest diner in FL. Good burgers. We also found the Dairy Queen! There are about a dozen historic murals in the downtown area that are very well done and in good condition. Great photo op and do tell the story of Palatka.

Change of policy., 2012-04-13
Captain: , Marietta, GA (260)

We statyed here on the T, a fixed dock on our way up the St. Johns. The cost was $30, and power was included. We were the only boat on the docks, and the tie up was good. We returned on our way back down the river, 3 nights later, and they had changed their policy to no longer allow transients without a room rental. We rented a room for about $65, and the dockage was included. We took advantage of the room to shower....standard motel. Continental breakfast included.

Stayed in December 2011 one overnight, 2012-03-05
Captain: , Pawleys Island (114)

Along with slip, there is a Complimentary "Captains Room" in the Quality Inn. So very quiet there. We were the only boat! Front desk of the motel checked us in. Most inexpensive stay at $30/night. Hook ups and WiFi available but you had to go to the room for good reception and worked just fine if you need. The birds are still pooping the deck...no worries. That's what they do. We had what we needed. It was like anchoring out with bath house amenities. Very calm and quiet all night. Couldn't beat the rate! A friendly adventure.

Holiday Inn Marina, 2011-11-11
Captain: , Key Largo (5330)

Fixed wooden docks, very litttle tide.. Nice bar on property, relatively inexpensive, walkable to downtown Palatka, and don't miss the old dinner, or the downtown strip. Caution bird dropping on docks,,,,,,,,,,

Self Service Dock, 2010-04-12
Captain: , Sanford, FL (206)

Stayed here while guests stayed at the hotel. Their room made it free but it was $40 otherwise. Docks are fixed and in average condition with some slips having loose boards. Lots of bird poop on outer fingers. There is no service so you have to tie up and then go to the front desk. I'm not sure they would have even known if we were there. Power and water are available but multiple boxes gave me ground wire failures. If you need a place to dock for the night, this is fine but don't expect anymore. Corky Bells is a fun restaurant on the other side of the river to boat over to for dinner. Based on all the other facilities in Palatka, this seemed just as good.

Where's the marina?, 2010-03-09
Captain: , Newville (488)

This is sort of a sad place to stop. Docks appear to be in good shape, but are covered in a solid layer of bird manure. No dock hands. Everything is done by phone contact with a person at the front desk in the motel.

Good Stop, 2008-05-02
Captain: , Neabsco Creek, VA (95)

80' face dock with about 16 slips. Water on the face dock was 16'. Flat rate charge for the night included water and electric. For our 45' boat we paid $38.95. On premise restaurant has great breakfast or you can walk a couple blocks up US17 (away from bridge) to Angels Diner (reported as the oldest diner in FL!)

No fuel or other services outside of water and electric
