Reviews for Puerto Deportivo Alcaidesa
Absolutely nothing wrong here, 2014-06-29
Captain: , Boston (300)

Don't understand the previous not so good reviews. Very nice, relatively new, clean marina. Individual fingers for all but the largest boats. Very reasonable rates, very helpful staff. They offered to help us dock at our slip, offered to help us print documents from the web, etc. Nice little cafe. it is not that far to town, ten minutes to La Linea, fifteen to Gibraltar if you are at the wrong end of the marina. The La Linea bus station is a block from the marina enterance. The marina is large enough that it is more than five minutes to walk from our slip to the office, but you can call on the radio. We would certainly return.

Excellent new Marina, 2014-06-04

great place helpful people and secure, 2013-10-23

came in here in july of 2013 for a quick stay and ended up spending longer than planned -- staff was very helpful and anything we asked they tried to help us -- they made getting in easy and when we arrived ahead of schedule and called them for a hand to tie up to arrival qual they were on the opposite end of marina and when they got to us they apologized to us -- they even told us their wifi was expensive so go to bar next to our dock and get it there free with a drink -- a short walk over to gib and sheppards where colin got us a car for the boom that had broken and had to order it in -- incredibly helpful -- but did not get the car stop (my fault) and eric of gateway nautical in the marina itself made one for us -- easy access to town and lots of good shopping - walk and take cab back - also easy access to bus where we took bus to cadiz, then seville and up to madrid and back - really a nice place but empty and inexpensive -- AND THERE ARE NO BORDER ISSUES except for cars crossing and it is funny -

Poor Marina, 2013-08-25

Staff were very snooty and unfriendly. No wonder the place is practically empty all the time. Would not recommend this place. Would rather sit in the anchorage, if they haven't had the Guardia Civil run you off, and if the border tensions are not heightened.

OK new marina., 2013-02-19

New Marina almost empty (2010 & 2012). Badly designed as if E or W wind difficult to moor as you will have side wind into the slips. Mariners are poor and don't really offer help. They seem more busy chasing people not to enter with their tenders, which is very silly; they told me to go to Gibraltar instead. Prices are OK as Gibraltar is a good competitor.

Cheap pricing, 2012-06-07
Captain: , glasgow (300)

Cheaply priced, especially for cats, quite expose to the westerlies, ie bouncy and chafe protection a must if leaving your boat for any length of time, a fair walk to gib/la linea town, facilities ok. a cheap place to leave you boat for a while or a short visit to gib, i bounced about more here in 20k of wind than i did in scotland in 50k.
