Reviews for Public Wall at Market Square Park
nice town!, 2016-07-05
Captain: , Fort Myers (700)

nice little town for a cold drink and appetizers. nice little museum and battle field. wall has no power, water, etc. public restrooms, nice pavilion. well protected harbor - moved to the wall after all the small day boats left and the anchorage became too rolly from a west wind.

Sackets Harbor town wall, 2015-07-28
Captain: , Lake Champlain (210)

There have been a lot of comments about mooring overnight on the town wall. I stayed there without any problems. This is in spite of the town manager saying "absolutely no way!". The Mayor had a different attitude about visitors. My feeling are that if you arrive later in the day, don't cause any problems, and leave early in the morning you are welcome. This wall is primarly for the benefit of the locals, but an occasional overnight boat should not be a problem in spite of the sign that says "4 hr maximum". If you plan on rafting up, drinking, camping out there all day and otherwise being a jackass, you are going to spoil this for everybody.

This town will appeal to people that want to shop, eat at upscale restaurants, and walk around with their little white dog that they treat better than their children.

Beautiful spot - overnight was not a problem for us, 2015-06-27
Captain: , Punta Gorda, FL (2709)

It was a lovely park setting and a great wall to tie up. Locals have told us that no one bothers you if you stay overnight, and the rule is there so that the authorities have a reason to boot you off if you are a troublemaker.

The Tin Pan Galley was a fairly pricey, but excellent dining choice for a special occasion. The duck confit poutine appetizer was far from healthy, but so filling and very tasy.

Nice, but no power, 2015-06-07
Captain: , Englewood, FL (905)

Beautiful spot. Wall is in great shape. Easy to tie up. Locals even help. Close to a beautiful historic town. BUT we tried several power poles & threw the breakers but could not get power. We moved to Madison Barracks marina.

Great dock, friendly folks, 2013-09-01
Captain: , Key Biscayne FL (3048)

This free town dock in a lovely town park makes for an easy stop. Excellent close by, historic display of 1812 war battles. Electricity on wall 30a with GFCI Breakers. Depth 5.5 ' but we may be reading weeds. We stayed overnight without complaint though posted signs say no overnight.

Large straight wall, 2009-06-26
Captain: , Port Ontario, Lake Ontario (410)

It is actually 2 large straight walls right downtown. Very close the the videophone if you need to check into Customs. Interesting museums and nice restaurants. No hookups at the dock though. There is a restroom nearby, the same building the videophone is located on.
