Reviews for Presidio Yacht Club
Any port in a storm, 2015-03-01
Captain: , Vallejo (50)

Nice folks but a bit funky. Over worked bar tender strugles to cook burgers and make drinks at the same time. If looking to dock as guest use the end tie near entrance since the dock nearest the cafe is very shallow. Multiple dock lines recommended due to strong tidal surge. Wouldn't recommend the showers!

Great Club, 2013-12-04
Captain: , Richmond, CA (76)

Great club and welcoming people. Hamburgers and beer. Guest dock limited to west side as rails occupy east side. Very little water at low tide, i.e. 3 feet at ramp end of dock.

Magnificent View of Golden Gate Bridge, 2011-02-09
Captain: , Alameda, CA (811)

You feel like you stepped backwards about 20 years when you come into Horseshoe Bay and the Presidio Yacht Club. The guest dock is fairly small and has no power so any overnights will necessarily require the same onboard power capability as an anchorage. But when the bar is open, the food is good and the views of the Golden Gate Bridge are unsurpassed. This is also a good overnight location for an early-morning departure out under the gate and to points beyond...

Burgers, beers, and friendly crowd, 2011-01-17
Captain: , San Francisco Ca. (330)

Burgers, beers, and friendly crowds are the norm here and the views are spectacular. Explore the nearby Children's museum or stay at the nearby inn at the old military installation. Overnights on boats may be rough due to the swells.

Mooring at Presidio Yacht Club, 2010-11-08
Captain: , vallejo, ca (325)

The club (also called "Travis YC) welcomes boaters from other yacht clubs and has some moorage available. The cove is gorgeous and it is fun to visit what is left of the old fort and the new inn. However, the docks are not in good shape and the swell coming into the cove is substantial. Probably a better idea for a few hours rather than staying overnight. The club is open on the weekends with a full bar, excellent view of the bridge and San Francisco. Except for special events, they serve only hamburgers and such.
