Reviews for Port of Garibaldi Marina
Better than Ilwaco, 2016-08-05
Captain: , Seattle (140)

The bar entrance is narrow (intimidating) and the books say avoid but it's not that bad in the experience (done it twice). Between Newport & Grays Hbr, this is a convenient choice. The marina staff is unfriendly and the docks are old but still adequate. Power is 15 or 20 or 30 @ 125 volt, no more. The surrounding area is nicer with some good restaurants if you can get there.

Very Shallow, But Charming, 2016-06-12
Captain: , Seattle (212)

For a sport fisherman, I'd rate it four stars. For sailboats, the depths in the harbor are very limiting. Favor the east side of the entrance, and don't tie up at the guest dock if you'll be there at low tide. Transient vessels are also welcome on the pier ends. We found only the two nearest the entrance to be deep enough for our 6.5' keel at a zero tide. There are a few sailboats in slips too.

There's a nice, funky seafood restaurant just east of the marina. Prices are low, and the food is quite good. Supplies are not far off, and there's a charming old fully-operational steam train a block to the north. The people are friendly. The hills surrounding the bay are beautiful, as is the channel that leads from the bar to Garibaldi. All-in-all, it's a nice stopover if you can keep your keel out of the mud.

Nice town marina, 2014-08-27
Captain: , Seattle (110)

Nice town marina, only $20 a night for 30-40ft. Free public showers, groceries and town just blocks away. Oregon Coastal Scenic Railroad runs a steam train up to Rockaway Beach 3 times a day during the summer.
