Reviews for Port of Edmonds
Great place to stop, 2016-08-31
Captain: , everett, wa (275)

We arrived asking for a slip assignment. The staff moved around some boats to make sure we (30 foot boat) could fit The place was pretty quiet except for proximity to trains. The staff was friendly and accomidating. The facility is really clean with nice showers. There is lots of nice art along the shoreside prominade, mostly in the form of statuary. It's a great place to take a walk.

details, details, decent port but ..., 2014-09-14
Captain: , North Lake Marina, Lake Washington (260)

Great: docks; staff helpful and friendly; power and water accessible on docks; farmers market a few blocks up is AMAZING! best in Puget Sound for variety! Many of our friends moor here (dry rack storage) and the launching system they have is fast and top notch. Anthony's restaurant is right on the water as is their casual dining location just below. There is also a dog park/beach South of the marina.
Good: facilities (showers) ... showers are free, 2 per restroom, only 1 locks; wifi is available but be sure to get the username and password from the marina office
Could Improve: be prepared for double and triple side-ties which means very congested marina with lots of boats bumping others. side ties mean others walking across your boat and heavy congestion. It can be stressful seeing the boats snaking by and trying to get in and out. Overall, come in with a different expectation than what you may have experienced at other local marinas and you will probably be fine.
TidBits: The shower we used is a single-dial knob ... when the water drips on the handle, it causes it to move and make the water hot so you have to move it every so often. Bathrooms are unlocked during the day. It would also be nice if the marina office was open a bit longer during summer hours, at least on a Friday night (for likely late arrivals). Also, showers do not have soap dishes or ledges to expect to bring your own or set your toilettries on the floor. There are also trains that run the track early morning into late night hours and they usually use their horn around this area :(

Great marina, staff and off-leash dog area, 2014-01-15
Captain: , Edmonds, WA (25)

Nice, helpful staff. Fun small town with good restaurants and cute shops, great Farmers Market on Saturday mornings all summer long.
Got a friendly dog? Walk about a quarter-mile South from Port of Edmonds for the off-leash dog park where doggies make new friends and splash in the Puget Sound if they so desire.

Good Marina, 2013-12-10
Captain: , Seattle (313)

Another great marina and support staff. A little tight moving in and out for some boats 40' and over, but just take it slow. Great staff and a clean operation. Just a 10 min walk from downtown Edmonds where there is plenty to see and do. The train track are close and trains do come through all night, but that's what make it original. Enjoy!

Fantastic Staff but limited facilities, 2013-08-27
Captain: , Kirkland, WA (145)

The staff is amazing here. I came to the Port of Edmonds along with three other boats over 30' long. We arrived at the port after working hours and without reservations. The staff was kind enough to work the three of us into slips anyway. They went above and beyond to make sure we were not only settled in, but prepared for a great stay.

Fuel is inexpensive here. Fuel up here before heading up further up north as this is about as inexpensive as you'll find in the area.

The facilities are clean -- from the docks to the showers, everything is cleaner than you'd expect. I was really impressed with their attention to the details in this respect.

The port would get 5 stars if not for the lack of markets / supplies and the noisy nights.

For a port that has a ton of fishermen at it, I'm surprised at the lack of even basic fishing supplies. Bud's Bait Shop has very little available if you're in a pinch, they don't sell fishing licenses, and the owner is a bit surley. Apart from fishing supplies, if you've come to this port without transportation, be prepared to catch a cab, or a ride from the staff if they can supply it, up to the town to pick up groceries, snacks, etc.

Between the ferry and the trains running regularly nearby, the noise at the marina is more than even a sound sleeper like myself can handle at times.

All in all, it's a great port with most of the basics covered very well: breakwater, clean moorage, gas, pumpout, bait, and a restaurant. Do stop in if you're already supplied or don't mind the hike into town to get some!

Thanks for a great stay Port of Edmonds!

Great marina in a great place on Puget Sound, 2013-04-11
Captain: , Port Angeles, WA (130)

We have launced her with the sling lift multiple times, and have boated to this marina a number of times. In each case the staff has been friendly and accomodating. They have always been able to find space for us, even in extremely busy times. We have left our tuck and trailer here for up to a week with no problems. The entire facility seems very well run and safe. We will be staying here again.

Stayed by chance ..., 2013-01-05
Captain: , Vancouver, BC (47)

and will make a point of visiting again.

We were so pleased with this port, the friendliness of the people, management of the port and the town of Edmonds. The facilities were spotless and extremely well taken care of. The town of Edmonds is a short walk from the marina and offers interesting shops and great choice of restaurants. If you're looking for a night in a port while transiting north or south, this is a good choice.

Clean and well run, 2012-06-27
Captain: , Port Orchard, WA (292)

Bueatiful facility, Rest rooms and showers are a little small, but clean. Town is a short walk and quite nice. Hope to return soon

Great Place to stop going to or from the San Juans, 2011-11-12
Captain: , Gig Harbor (134)

We had to be towed in with a plugged fuel filter. Got good service from the yard accross the street. Great shower facilities next to the port office.

Excellent docks, well sheltered, 2011-10-14
Captain: , Algonac, MI (1659)

The floating docks are in great shape. The landscaping is very well maintained. The auxiliary bathrooms have no showers and are in a trailer.

Fisherman wanted!, 2011-08-24
Captain: , Whidbey Island, WA (47)

This marina tries very hard to be helpful but is primarily a fisherman's marina. They are a very busy Port and are constantly moving boats around. Not very dog friendly.

Awesome stay, 2011-08-02
Captain: , Gig Harbor, WA (469)

We stopped here on our return from the San Juan Islands. We had heard lots of reports of noise from the trains and the boat hoist. I was either really tired, or it wasn't that bad because I did not hear anything. They give you a great goodie bag with lots of discounts for area shops and stores. I would stay here again, but have a reservation, as it gets busy sometimes.

Well protected and beautiful, 2011-03-23
Captain: , San Diego, CA (1239)

A beautiful place to tie your boat and see the sunset over the Olympic Mountains from the breakwater. Friendly marina staff offered a free hop in to town to resupply. Entrance through the breakwater is constricted so keep an eye out for other boaters leaving.

Port of Edmonds, 2011-01-27
Captain: , Anacortes, WA (282)

Several years ago the covered moorage at Port of Edmonds collapsed in a snow storm. The port rebuilt, keeping primarily small boat slips (under 30 feet) in the majority of the marina. Transient and large boat moorage is limited.
The facility is nice, good restaurants and some shopping are within easy walking distance but there is no marine store and one small grocery is about a mile.
Edmonds is a friendly town, but noisy with traffic and trains all night long.

Port of Edmonds, 2011-01-17
Captain: , Fort Myers, Florida, USA (584)

Can't give five stars due to the noisy urban setting but it's a modern marina and a convenient jumping off point if you must keep a boat here. In the current economy the waiting list is short and no waiting for some slips.

Busy place!, 2010-12-25
Captain: , Sequim, WA (676)

We use the Edmonds Yacht Club reciprocal here and it works out OK. They ask for stern ties which we cannot do because of the outboards. It is a noisy marina however. Bring your earplugs.

convenient but busy and loud, 2010-08-26
Captain: , Freeport, ME (255)

We stayed here for one evening and it was a little disappointing. Overall, the condition of the marina is great; the bathrooms and showers are clean and there is a great restaurant, but it was a very loud night. There were several trains that rolled by at all hours of the night sounding their horns each time. Also, in the morning, the boat launch lifts begin launching other peoples' boats at 6:00 AM which brings plenty of noise along with it. If it wasn't so loud it would have been great!

No 2-stroke Oil, 2010-03-16
Captain: , ANONYMOUS (193)

I came here hoping to find two stroke oil. The nearest store that retails two stroke oil is over 2 miles away. Otherwise the marina is nice, and the prices are reasonable. I particularly find that the staff is quite friendly.

Beautiful Marina, 2009-12-10
Captain: , Everett (120)

Bring your wallet and your patients, they have a long waitng list to get in and they charge accordingly. My boat broke down on the way home to another marina. I ended up in guest moorage for over a month and they were very accomidating to my perdicament.

Nice weekend, 2009-09-13
Captain: , Seattle, WA (437)

Edmonds is a nice weekend spot from Seattle. Friendly marina and lots of places to walk around just up the road. The ferry and train are fun!

Busy place, 2009-07-28
Captain: , Cowiche, WA (350)

Nice marina and helpful staff. Good walking and restaurants nearby. Lots of traffic from boats to cars to trains but a good place to visit.

Edmonds Marina, 2007-09-16
Captain: , Olympia (1435)

Nice marina. Helpful marina staff. Busy place. Trail rolls by marina with it's horn making a lot of noise. Marina is very busy with boats coming and going. Nice restaurant nearby.
