Reviews for Port of Astoria West Basin Marina
Another enjoyable week, 2016-05-13

Had a relaxing time working on the boat while my wife was taking a class. Englunds nearby was great. Also had the dinghy engine worked on by Clatsop Power Equip.

Nice Stop/rest after the bar, 2016-05-02

In the summer, Arrive in the early, late morning as the afternoon winds could make things difficult once inside. Fuel is a little high when compared to marinas up river. Docks are wood and a little worn. Watch for splinters.

Nice, but not close to town. Well worth a cab ride in $10 bucks each way., 2015-08-06

We really liked this marina. Close to an amazing marine supply store. Short 10 buck cab ride into town which was very nice! I spent a total of 3 nights here on various trips in and out of the Barr.

Enchanted Astoria, 2012-07-28
Captain: , Vancouver (772)

The seawall reconfiguration of a few years back has made the marina much more comfortable. If you're over 35' you may find the guest slips a little tight. T-Row on the east side of the marina has great side ties or slips at the north end. Unfortunately the Port of Astoria hasn't restored power to the docks as of July 2012. The don't take reservations. While a worry, I've never had a problem finding a space to tie up. Astoria can get hit by strong winds in the afternoon in the summer, so consider getting there before 1 pm. The area around the marina is slowly developing into a nice destination. Hopefully the Port of Astoria with restore power to T-Row.

Great location, full service, sightseeing, marine supply, at good price., 2012-05-10
Captain: , Kirkland, WA (4478)

Conveniently located. Full service marine with good transient rates. Marina has all the basic services that are delivered by friendly knowledgable people.

Nearby are excellent restaurants, coffee shops, and an outstanding marine supply store (Englund Marine).

Groceries are not within walking distance. However, rental car is available less than a 1/4 of mile away. With the car Safeway and Costco (and other big box stores) are within 10 min drive.

Firrst class accomadations, a bit crowded and tight in summer. Harbormaster Ken Smith and crew are very helpful, friendly and accomodating. Can be very windy from NW in summer.
