Reviews for Shediac Bay Yacht Club
A substantial well run marina, 2014-10-22
Captain: , Reading, MA, USA (50)

Go all the way to the end of the breakwater and U-turn to get in. Call ahead and they’ll tell you the dock and be there to catch your lines. Showers, restrooms, laundry, a really nice facility. This is the first marina we've been in that required liability insurance. We were able to download a copy of our yacht policy from the insurance company. They also require marine grade electrical cables. We were not allowed to run a standard extension cord to charge our battery. Other than this uptightedness, everybody was very friendly and accomodating. We had a family emergancy that required a lot of phoning and emailing; they gave us a private space to use so we would not disturb the club members.

Easy walk (~10 min) to grocery, restaurants, downtown. Free bikes and there’s a nice bike path to Point to Chene and Parlee Beaches. Don't neglect to see the 38' lobter at the information center. There is bus service to Shediac but the bus only stops if you have a ticket purchased on-line in advance. The bus stops at a gas station on thet edge of town.

Good place, close to town for groceries, beer and amenities, very quiet. Friendly helpful members and good staff. There is some work going on to upgrade the park around the club.
