Reviews for Port Whitby Marina

Great stop! We crossed the lake May 1st ended up in some crappy weather and re-routed into here, what a find! The marina staff was extremely helpful, we are a group of four with lots of questions, they gave us hot coco when we came in soaking wet and frozen, answered our million questions Beth at the front desk even gave our friends a ride to the car rental place! We have all been to hundreds of marinas and we're all so impressed with the friendly staff, clean facilities and amenities

Great facility, 2017-04-06

Very good marina but do follow the channel markers coming in. Facilities are very good with both showers and laundry. Staff very friendly and helpful. Gate to site is locked at night so don't forget to ask for an access card. Some groceries, small restaurants and a LCBO about 10 min walk to the mall on the west side. The Lake Grill is a 5 minute walk to the east and very good for lunch or dinner.

Great Staff - Clean Washrooms, Showers and Laundry, 2013-07-14
Captain: , Port of Toronto (296)

Be sure to follow the bouys in the channel. The marina saved me twice in 2013, one time from the largest rain event ever on record in July. Staff is friendly and the facilties are awesome. If I have one complaint it is the card required to access facilities and the docks. I leave at daybreak so getting the $20 card refund is tough. A code system would be better.

Walk north and then across the soccer field (northwest) to big box stores including a pub, a Metro food store, a bank and new in September 2013, an LCBO.

Marina will rent you bikes including an adult trike.

Best marina we've being so far, 2013-05-30

Excellent friendly management and boaters. Very professional staff. Clean and safe. 5 min walk to stores and Go train.

One of the Best!, 2013-04-17
Captain: , Whitby (370)

In 2010, I completed the Down East Circle. Down the St. Lawrence, through the Canadian Maritimes, New England, New York, and back to Lake Ontario via the Hudson River and Erie Canal.
In 2012, I cruised to Maine and back to Lake Ontario via the Hudson River.
In all those travels, I have never visited a marina that is better run than Port Whitby Marina.
The manager, Keenan, along with Erin, Charlie, Beth, and the rest of the staff have made this marina simply the finest I have ever experienced.

Clean Facility, 2012-06-03
Captain: , Port Credit, Ontario (211)

We stop here enroute to the 1000 islands. Great staff, very clean facilities, showers. They have reduced the geese and associated mess over the years. Good for walking dogs.

Port Witby Marina, 2011-11-24
Captain: , Margaritaville (355)

This is a top notch municipal facility. Keenan the harbor manager could not do more to accommodate us - near new docks, a new clubhouse facility that is clean and first class all the way and a well trained, courtious staff.
We spent two months here this summer.
The only negative, you need a few days to get used to trains passing by with loud horn blowing.....

A true full-service marina, 2011-01-08

Port Whitby is a great place to layover. Good, modern docks, well managed, clean facilities and it's walking distance to the GO train for crew drop off/pick-up or just getting back to Toronto for a day or two.
