Reviews for Port Sonoma-Marina
What Marina?, 2016-06-08

Port Sonoma is virtually non-existant as a Marina. The small marina at the entrance is completely filled with mud and inaccessable. It has been abandoned. The large marina further in has been abandoned for decades. The docks in front of Moose Boats do have a few boats tied up and there are boats in the dry storage but damn few have moved in decades and nobody can move unless the tide is high. I thought one day that I would go in and see what things look like, it was right at high tide and I draw 4 foot 8 inches. I immediately ran aground as soon as I turned into the the entrance. Also, it wasn't my keel that hit first, it was the bow section. There was probably less than 2 feet of water there. If you check the Google imagery (from 2016) you can see all of this. Moose makes shallow draft catamarran style work boats and you can see the "tire tracks" from them driving them through the mud back and forth to the docks.
