Reviews for Port Royal Landing Marina
Great marina, great staff, 2017-09-07
Captain: , Portland, OR (10)

We spent 7 days at this marina waiting for stormy weather to pass. Although we were tied on the outside t-dock and at times it was a bit rocky, overall it was a very pleasant experience. The staff is super accomodating, a courtesy pickup truck is available (this was great when we bought two kayaks at the local Walmart and had to get them back to the boat), washrooms and laundry room are adequate. The marina is set in a really neat, small residential subdivision that fronts on the river, and we understanding that several people who have stopped at the marina ended up buying a home here, too -- it would be perfect: just walk to your boat (we looked at a few of the homes ourselves). The marina even offers a complimentary "membership" to the local Y if you want to workout or swim (it has a gorgeous indoor pool and very nice outdoor pool -- all free.) For longer drives, Hertz is 3 miles into town. Lots to see and do in the area. Great spot.

No return call, 2017-08-20
Captain: , Little River SC (586)

Went three weeks ago to inquire about relocating my boat to the area. Dockmaster was very nice and had me fill out some information and he needed to get it to the owner. To date, haven't heard back from them and there are a lot of empty slips .

Lives up to the Reputation, 2017-08-06
Captain: , Dighton, MA (20)

This marina is excellent in every way, and the people are as friendly as advertised. We have been on a slow trek south from Massachusetts with our 40' Marine Trader and stopped here for one night to enjoy the historic Beaufort and head back out on the ICW the next morning to Savannah. The location is great, right on the ICW and with a big easy face dock, so tying up was a breeze. We came in on the ebb tide into Beaufort which gave us an extra couple of knots even at idle speed (all no wake south of Ladies Island Swing Bridge), and hit the dock at Port Royal at almost exactly slack tide. Michelle was there to greet us and check us in and even give us a ride to the dock office in her golf cart. The main dock out to the T head where transient slips are is long, but there is a steep tidal swing here so it's necessary. The docks are beautiful, and the transient dock is brand new. The restrooms are impeccable and also newly redone. Though we didn't need it, there is gas and diesel right in the center of the face dock as well and plenty of space when we were here. Though they do not have a pool onsite, they gave us free passes to the YMCA about a mile away and we used the courtesy car to pop out for a quick and pleasant little workout at the Y. We passed grocery and supply stores along the way that would be easy to get to if you need to reprovision. The courtesy car is actually a small pickup and is available until 6pm when the dock office closes. There is a nice laid back restaurant at the top of the dock as well as a boater's patio with grills, and though we didn't use these either this stop, they looked really nice. We later dropped our 12' hard bottom dinghy in and rode it to the Beaufort town docks (about 10 minutes ride, located just before the Ladies Island Swing Bridge to your port when heading north). There is free dockage here for small crafts and dinghys on the inside of the dock next to the boat ramp. We swung by earlier in the day to check it out, and the dockhand at the town docks was super friendly and said that no one will bother you parking your dinghy, just have it out before 3 am (no problem there!). We parked the dingy around 7:30 and ate at Saltus about 2 blocks walk north along the water and had an outstanding meal with excellent service which I would highly recommend as well. All in all, I would go out of my way to make this a stop anytime I was passing through here travelling the ICW. Truly a delightful marina and friendliest staff around. Thanks Port Royal!

Special stop, 2017-06-29
Captain: , Naples Florida (246)

It seems the face dock is the preferred transient space. Try to persuade the staff to put you on the 'inside' of that dock. current rips and many wakes.
Michelle is a dockmaster, not a dockhand and she is the best. Good live music, friendly bar/restaurant and quality inexpensive food. Coutesy car is a medium size Dodge pickup. Publix, Advance Auto Parts etc. all within a couple of miles.

New Dock Open, 2017-05-05
Captain: , Baltimore (181)

They are recovered from the hurricane and the new floating dock is beautiful and functional. Big cleets. Michelle's energy as a dock hand is impressive and Ryan was a gracious harbor master. Good shower. Courtesy car.

Captain: , Marion, MA (472)

4/24/17. We returned here on our way north and stayed for three nights. They've come a long way on renovations and post hurricane damage repairs. The new north dock is almost ready for service and will at least double the available transient space. The crew continue to be the warmest and most helpful and welcoming we've encountered along the waterway. The floating concrete docks are so new the fuel and pump outs had not yet been reconnected but will be soon. The laundry machines are new and high efficiency. The showers have been recently renovated. They have a courtesy car for trips to the stores or for brief sightseeing excursions. And they also have loaner bicycles if you're not going as far. And the wifi is good. This is an outstanding marina!

October 2016 Great dock crew, clean facilities, good info package w/walking distances. Good restaurant on site. Some Matthew damage but mostly functional. Will return.

One of the best on the ICW!, 2017-04-09
Captain: , Poquoson, Virginia (40)

I stayed here for slightly longer than anticipated (doing repairs), and can't think of a better place to have been. The facilities are excellent, and it's a very quick trip in the courtesy car to an excellent hardware store, a grocery store, and a West Marine. The restaurant is decent, and is a great time on Friday night for the live music and cruisers potluck. The staff were phenomenal - Rion and Michele were always friendly and helpful.

Great Stay, 2017-04-06
Captain: , Long Island Sound (50)

Stopped here on 4/6/17 and they had ongoing repairs due to hurricane damage so no pump out available. Staff was very friendly & helpful, courtesy car was great to take into downtown for dinner. Clean facility, restaurant/bar on-site would definitely reccomend.

Great service and friendly, 2017-02-02
Captain: , Fanning Island, FL (248)

We stopped here last minute and are so glad we did. So quiet and peaceful. The pool was nice to sit around. We loved cocktails at the bar and the food was good. Laundry and showers were clean and well stocked. We would return! We did use the car but also enjoyed biking the area. Found a great BBQ place right in town, Smokin Planks on Paris Ave. We were so glad we biked there! Great food and great service!

GOOD PLACE TO STOP, 2017-01-24
Captain: , Nyack, NY (646)

Ducking out of some deadly tornados crossing the south. Good help from Stone at the fuel dock and easy check in with Rion. Free third day just fit the weather window. Courtesy car for running around. Would recommend

Great place to stay....again, 2017-01-10
Captain: , Gloucester (80)

We stayed for a month. The staff were awesome. The facilities were impeccably maintained. There is so much to see and do in the area. Can't say enough.
Thank you Rion, Michele, Chris and Co. for your hospitality. Feels like home. See you the spring. Best of luck on your reconstruction projects.

Great Marina, 2016-12-02
Captain: , Johns Island, SC (30)

What a great marina. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant served good food at reasonable prices. Fuel prices were well below average.
Would definitely return to this marina.

Only stopped for fuel, 2016-11-19
Captain: , Howell, NJ (130)

On our way south we decided to stop for fuel at Port Royal Landing, the dock hand was great! Was right there to catch our lines. There were no hoses for us to get water and we were going to pull our hose out but before we could he was walking toward us with a hose and next thing we knew he had it hooked up and asked if we were ready for water. We also asked him for some local knowledge on anchorages for the night, he was a wealth of information. We didn't stay at the marina but will consider it on our next trip.

Most friendly, 2016-11-17
Captain: , Jacksonville, Fl (20)

The staff makes you feel welcome from the moment you pull up to the marina til you leave. THe welcome bag is a very nice touch. Superb restaurant on premises.

Great Marina, 2016-11-17
Captain: , Kingston (269)

We've been travelling by boat for nearly 3 months now, over 1/2 the nights in marinas. This is in the top 3 marinas we've stayed at on the trip.

The advice for docking (including consideration of current) and the dock assistance were first rate. The docks are floating concrete and in good shape. The facility is clean, professionally staffed and well-maintained. The washrooms are among the best we've seen. The wi-fi works and there is an indoor lounge and a patio area separate from the restaurant for boaters to use. The restaurant is good and the marina is happy to suggest alternatives. They have a courtsey car and modern front-load laundry machines at reasonable rates. We actually added a couple of nights to our stay.

You can taxi to downtown Beaufort for about $20 and the town of Port Royal is walkable with a nice boardwalk and observation tower. The marina also has bikes available for loan. The walk from the docks may be long for those with mobility issues but they do have a golf cart available and there isn't much to do about the issue when you have the sort of tidal range they do here. If we are in the area we will be back!

Best Cust care ever, 2016-10-09

Captain: , Lighthouse Point, FL (100)

pulled in today windy and current dock hand was perfect. we were greeted by Rion and brought us up to speed on all the amenities. we had not been here for a couple of years. They made us feel just like we were is very busy here a good place to stop to eat and easy fuel dock approach. we will be back

Nice Stop and enjoyed Back Porch Grill Restaurant, 2016-07-28
Captain: , Beaufort, SC (126)

We showed up at this marina around noon as a planned place to stop for lunch. I then called in on the radio for dock space and was told were to park with a welcoming feel. The marina staff was very friendly as always and we went and sat down at the restaurant for lunch located on the marina grounds called the Back Porch Grill. Eventhough it wasnt the first time i've ate at this restaurant it was the first time at lunch. I got the chicken wrap, which was very good, and we enjoyed the view as always. I had yet another great experience at this marina that is taken care of and has responsible, professional employees. This is a great marina to stop at if your a local, or a vessel traveling the ICW.

Excellent Stop!, 2016-07-22
Captain: , Stuart FL (778)

This was our second stop at I of Hope. It was every bit as enjoyable as our first. Everyone with whom we interacted. again. was most courteous, professional and helpful. Facilities are clean and very nice. Highly recommended. We look forward to our next visit.

Nice Stop as Advertised, 2016-07-18
Captain: , Charleston, SC (220)

Stopped primarily for fuel price headed to FL. Folks were extremely friendly. Notice others posted about use of car or truck. I must've not been holding my mouth right on that one, but who's counting? This is a good place to stop.

Captain: , Charleston, SC (180)

Stayed here one night on 6/16/16. Rion and Chris were the best. Very friendly and helpful. Rion let us use the marina truck to make a run to the local hardware store. Docks and facilities were well maintained. Free jar of honey and beer coozie were much appreciated.

Port Royal landing Marina.

SAFERETURNS Lighthouse Point ,Fl

Ok we stayed here 3 days. It was pay for 2 and stay for 3! Including electric. Michele gave us perfect directions and Chris help us tie up . Current was strong but with great hands tying was was a sinch. The outer docks are a little far from the office but when we called they sent down a golf cart to pick us up. Loner car to visit Beaufort and surrounding areas. If you like golf you can play at Parris Island Marines....top10 military courses in the world. Shopping within a few miles but they have a loaner car. Also there is a restaurant on premise and bar with the best hamburgers anyware. Michele and Chris thank you so much. They are fixing docks on the T but there are still good and I heard showers are getting a make over. What they lack in amenities they make up with customer service ?????

Never disappoints, 2016-05-14
Captain: , Cape Canaveral (1191)

To us, this is the perfect spot. Rian is a great dockmaster with tow very helpful assistants, Rhona and Michelle. They are generous with the courtesy car when available, clean bathrooms, dock side pumpout, easy on and easy off transient side tie. Current can be swift but is not an issue. Beaufort is a lovely little town with very good restuarants. We'll be back...again.

Excellent Marina, 2016-05-03
Captain: , Solomons, MD (1025)

Probably the best and most conscientious dock staff we have seen. Wonderful courtesy car policies, good little restaurant attached, clean heads and showers, reasonable prices and specials ... what else could you ask for? Wi-Fi. I really don't understand how a top-notch marina today cannot have decent wi-fi. That's the only reason for 4-stars as opposed to 5.

Well run marina with execllent service, 2016-05-02
Captain: , Baltimore (529)

We have stopped here several times while transiting the area. The transient rate is not inexpensive but the facilities and service are excellent.

Rion is very helpful getting you docked in current and wind. We had the loaner car out shopping so Rion lent his personal car to a boat that came in after us.

Showing a bit of age, 2016-04-26
Captain: , Iuka, MS (1130)

Well laid out facility. Very helpful people. Courtesy car! Long long walk out to face dock. Electrical voltage was too high when we were there in early April and kept getting faults on our inverter/battery charger. Had to run generator. Ugh.

Simply 1 of the best!, 2016-04-08
Captain: , Southport, ME, USA (1178)

Can't say enough about this place, it's really terrific! Staff, location, ammenities, services, cost: all great. Give it a try, you will not be sorry you did.

Captain: , Barron, Wi (90)

stopped here 4/2 and 3 after Hilton Head. Liked tthe quiet, friendly and laid back demeanor. Greatt fuel and dockage price for boat us and loopes. Good restaurant and bar an site. Everything we needed.

Friendly and helpful staff, 2016-04-01
Captain: , Fort Worth, TX (90)

The entire staff at Port Royal Landing Marina is very friendly and helpful. Port Royal has 3 boardwalks thru the wetlands that have a lot of wildlife. I saw alligators, squirrels, turtles, fish, cardinals, egrets and many other birds. I found the walk on these boardwalks enjoyable. There is a nice sidewalk for bicycling to the 3 boardwalks from the marina.

Home away from home, 2016-03-18
Captain: , Richmond, VA (201)

Rion manages this marina superbly! They have hospitality down to an art form. The courtesy truck is available for errands, excursions, or whatever you need. It is set in a beautiful naturally landscaped residential community. There is an on site restaurant with a live band most Friday and Saturday nights. But, don't let that stop you as it is very quiet on the docks.
Only negative, and this is not a flaw of the marina management, is that the current runs strong through this area. If you get both wind and current, it can be VERY difficult to dock and undock your boat.

good place, 2016-03-11
Captain: , Portsmouth, RI (70)

Staff is awesome. The onsite pub is ehh (weak), but shopping and other facilities nearby. Internet could be a bit better, but at farthest spot was still barely acceptable.

We love it!, 2016-02-17
Captain: , Salem,AL (120)

We arrived here 4 months ago and have been 100% satisfied. EVERYTHING is just perfect! It's the same fantastic service if your here for fuel and go or 2 months. Rion and he crew are top shelf. Stop by and see for your self. You will not be disappointed.

One of a kind place, 2016-02-04
Captain: , Wilmington NC (400)

Stayed for the 3 day deal 16, 17, and 18 Jan 2016. Piggly Wiggly, ABC, seafood market, and CVS within a 1/2 mile. Car and bikes available. Absolutely awesome folks in Michelle and Rion. Little bumpy with a stong North wind and incoming tide on the face dock one day. Nothing a couple extra fenders couldn't fix though. Great food at a great value in the onsite resturant. Very pet friendly.

It's the Best, 2015-12-21
Captain: , Newport RI (490)

We decided to stay in Beaufort for a month and liked all of the good reviews for Port Royal Landing. The great reviews are spot on target. Everything has been good here and it's all due to Rion and the staff. Other reviews itemize the specifics, just add our five stars.

5-star marina with 10-star customer service, 2015-12-10
Captain: , Annapolis, MD (20)

My wife and I are cruisers fulltime, and we needed to find a place to stop and 'store' the boat for a couple of weeks while we visited with family over Thanksgiving. We didn't make it as far south as we anticipated, and decided to stop near Beaufort, SC. We were initially going to stay on a Mooring ball, but then decided it would be easier to stay at a marina to accomplish all that we wanted/needed to do.

We have nothing but good things to say. The entire staff went entirely out of their way from the moment that we pulled up to the dock to make sure we were taken care of. They even helped us track down someone to help us with some obscure boat jobs. Moreso, everyone is so friendly and kind. The marina is beautiful and maintained very well, which gave us additional piece of mind when leaving the boat for a couple of weeks. Every day someone would walk the docks to check on things.

The amenities they provide are awesome! Things like courtesy car, courtesy bikes and use of all facilities are included with your stay - that's a nice touch. A lot of marina's charge for those little extras but not here. Its all included and at a VERY fair price.

I think other marinas could take a lesson from the folks at Port Royal Landing in terms of quality customer service. We always felt that they really did care about us and not just about our money (like many other marinas). We will definitely come back next time we sail through this area.

There are plenty of provisioning options available nearby and the historic downtown district is so charming - definitely worth a visit.

Love this marina - thank you so much Port Royal Landing!

Best customer service, 2015-11-17
Captain: , Muscongus, Maine (444)

Rion and Michelle were unflaggingly accommodating, pleasant, and willing to help in any way you need. They had a courtesy car (didn't see that on the website) available all three days we stayed (we used it twice), and were Beaufort/Port Royal's Welcome Wagon with local info booklets, a small jar of locally made honey, and a reusable shopping bag. Wifi didn't make it out to the far (and it is a far walk, but they have golf carts if you want/need them) dock, but they're expecting a new dock next spring and perhaps that will come with it. Several places for socializing outside up near the marina office, and the Back Porch Restaurant is attached to facility a tiny place, but has good seafood baskets (you get a 10% off ticket for it when you check into the marina). We'll be back.

Great Marina!, 2015-10-27
Captain: , Gainesville (40)

We stayed here a couple of weeks ago for the 2nd time. What a wonderful place! Easy to make a reservation, the dock staff was there on time to catch our lines, and we were made very welcome at check-in. Easy face dock for transients, wonderful clean facilities, and good internet. Several restaurants within easy walking distance, plus a courtesy car if needed. One of our favorite marinas - we will be back!

Excellent Marina, 2015-09-29
Captain: , Rock Hall, MD (166)

We intended to stay for 2 weeks and stayed for 4 months. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and the facilities are first rate with floating docks to accomodate the up-to-eight-foot tides. The marina is located among beautiful spanish moss-covered live oaks, and co-located with a small restaurant that has first-rate live music on weekends. Marina guests have access to a large covered deck, with gas grills, adjacent to the restaurant for gatherings (pot luck every Friday night). A large grassy area between the office and the river is perfect for having a quiet drink or walking Fido. I can't say enough about how friendly Tom, the owner, and his staff (Rion, Mike, Michelle, Jeff, Whitt, William, and Joe) have been to their customers.

Very nice place. Great staff., 2015-06-14

Kept Kisa in Skull Creek a few years ago and stoped here for fuel so when looking this summer I booked here. Staff is email friendly and communicate well and were ready when we arrived. Marina is well kept with very nice faculities. Services are close and they have 2 loaner cars. Got tooo give this place a very nice but will update when we leave

Great community of boaters, 2015-05-24
Captain: , Beaufort, SC (20)

With outstanding facilities and many liveaboards this marina is top notch. Marina store & captain's lounge available during most of the day. Front Porch grill is not only frequented by boaters but by locals as well. All highly recommended.

Love this marina, 2015-05-09
Captain: , sturgeon bay, wi (20)

We stayed here for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The staff was very friendly and helpful- they went above and beyond in every way. We used the loaner pickup to run errands. The ships store offered a wide variety of merchandise from boat needs to pillows for our salon. The onsite restaurant was very good- food was great, service a bit slow. (We had the crab cakes.) We highly recommend this facility and will be back in the fall.

This was the third time we stayed here!, 2015-05-02
Captain: , Oriental, N.C. (111)

This is a great marina with a wonderful staff that are eager to serve you. Two courtesy cars for temp use. Nearby Piggly Wiggly grocery store, liquour store and West Marine. On site restraunt is very nice and friendly. Good wi-fi. However, the 800-326-7678 phone number posted here is wrong. The other number is OK.

WOW Fantastic, 2015-04-28
Captain: , Kent Island, MD (392)

Port Royal a Landing and everyone of its crew has a very positive attitude. There's "can do" there's "will do" but this is a "WANT TO DO" operation. Most impressive on all fronts- location, facilities, convenience. PRLM has it all.

Great Marina & People, 2015-04-28
Captain: , Merritt Island Florida (250)

Stayed here on out way north in June of 2014, took advantage of stay 2 nights get 3rd night free. Rion and crew where great, let us use courtesy car all day as there were no other transients at marina. Good ships store and restaurant on site, and close to West Marine and supermarkets. Definitely will stop again in future.

Captain: , Clayton, NY (655)

very friendly staff, beautiful, clean marina. nice covered picnic area with grill for boaters. reastaurant on premises. 2 courtesy trucks to drive to publix 2.5 mi, great clips (2.5 mi haircut), and 3 mi to historic Beaufort. I will definitely come back here

Enjoyed this marina!, 2015-04-20
Captain: , Hallowell, Maine (240)

Super friendly and helpful staff, couldn't have been nicer. Great facilities, and we could actually get internet from the boat, something that has been surprisingly probematic in many of our stops. We joined a Friday night boaters and residents pot luck and met some nice people. Had a lovely bike ride into Beaufort. Don't miss the heron rookery!

Great Place, 2015-03-26
Captain: , Erie, PA (587)

We came in for fuel and a pump out and ended up staying overnight. Used the loaner truck to do some shopping and sight seeing. The staff is polite, helpful and friendly. Next time we come by we will stay for three days.

Excellent Marina in a Great Place, 2015-03-18
Captain: , Hampton, VA (30)

Rion and his family make every effort to provide outstanidng customer service. The restrooms are very clean with excellent showers, and a courtesy car is readily available. We used the car to pick up a rental at the airport for a 1-way trip home. We unexpectedly ended up leaving our boat here for the season because of an injury at home, and they couldn't have been more helpful in looking after the boat and responding to our questions from home. We will stop here anytime we are in Beaufort, which is a fun place to stop. The new bike/walking path between Beaufort and Port Royal is outstanding the the marina has bikes to loan. You can walk to shopping at Piggly Wiggly and CVS, Advanced Auto and West Marine are nearby also.

Left our boat there for 7 months..., 2015-03-10
Captain: , Wiscasset, Maine (290)

An unexpected situation at home required us to leave our boat for the summer. We chose Port Royal Landing Marina because of our good experiences with them in the past. The staff went over and above normal marina duties to make sure our boat was safe and well cared for. Communications to us in Maine were prompt, billing was accurate and some of our special requests were taken care of in an hospitable and professional manner. We cannot recommend this Marina highly enough.
Make sure you have your bottom cleaned on a regular basis as this is a high marine growth area.

Good stop on the ICW, 2015-03-06
Captain: , Hampton, VA (271)

Good place to stop between Savannah and Charleston on the ICW. I came in to Port Royal sound about midnight and anchored just before the bridge. Came in here in the AM and found a good marina with provisioning not to far away. The courtesy car was handy.

Great fuel prices, 2015-01-08
Captain: , Savannah, GA (330)

I only wish they would include all taxes in the price per gallon on Active Captain. The other marina's in the area do this. On a positive note. The .10 cents discount with a 100 gallon plus purchase is a welcome incentive. Captain Mark
Correction. Their price does include all taxes. They just don't state this in their fuel prices. I called the Marina and I stand corrected.

Very nice. Good marina, 2014-12-06
Captain: , St. Louis, MO (1850)

Stayed at PR for 6 days (Thanksgiving week) to wait out weather. I can't say its a first class marina as far as the fit and finish of the place, but the service and care that they gave us was second to none.
Wifi reached the transient dock.
They can pump out the entire length of the transient dock.
They have a very nice loaner car. (Ford F-150 truck)
Tremendous staff.
Would stay there again easily.

This place is outstanding, 2014-12-03
Captain: , Southport, NC (523)

We paid for a month and left the boat here for 2 weeks while we went home for Thanksgiving. I can't say enough about how customer focused and friendly the staff is here. They really want to cater to the cruiser community. The facilities are clean and well maintained. The location is very convenient to West Marine, hardware stores, groceries and a few restaurants. There is also a fresh seafood stand within a 10 minute walk. If you need to go further they have loaner bikes and a courtesy car. Pump outs are free and they have mobile pump out carts that you can take to your boat. We loved it here and will make this an annual stop moving up and down the coast. They checked every day to see if we needed anything. One of the best places we have docked in all of our travels.

very nice stop, 2014-11-29
Captain: , Buzzards Bay (391)

I was having mechanical issue with my starter. No on site mechanic but staff called one for me. He was very busy and ran out of day light but did stop by to tell me would and did return in the next morning. This is a pretty nice spot to be stuck, nice grounds and decks. Great pub food it's a local hang out, not tourist spot.

Marina that could be 6 stars 11-24-2014, 2014-11-25
Captain: , Kuttawa Kentucky (410)

If a Marina deserves a 6 star it is this one. Great fuel prices, restaurant on site, shopping for just about anything real close. Right before Thanksgiving, they had a special. Stay 2 nights get 3rd night free. Wifi is real strong and fast even out on the fuel dock. They will even pick you up in a golf cart if you give them a call. Was invited to their Thanksgiving Meal on Thanksgiving Day. If I pass here again, I will definitely stay here.. Thank You Port Royal Landing Marina

What more can I say..., 2014-11-18
Captain: , MV Red Head (3106)

All you have to do is read the reviews to know this is a terrific marina. Everyone is professional and friendly and helpful. The marina is set in a quaint community with quiet streets perfect for walking the canine crew. The onsite marine store carries a variety of common items while the courtesy vehicle allows you to do some more extensive provisioning. Look for the tickets in your welcome packet for a discount at the restaurant onsite. But one thing that really surprised us was a propane exchange right at the marina store! It was no surprise when we met Tom Wilson, the marina owner, that he had been a cruising boater. Everything about the marina speaks to a familiarity with what cruisers want. And his son-in-law Rion is continuing the tradition working and listening to provide you what you need. We look forward to our return visit!

Stop here!, 2014-11-16
Captain: , Charleston, SC (91)

Dock folks could not have been nicer...especially finding discounts on dockage and fuel. Nice goodie bag and f-150 courteous vehicle. Easy fueling, moored on face dock with no wake problems. Enjoyed it here more than downtown.

Captain: , Bristol, RI (350)

Unfortunately, we did not meet the day staff since we were in after they left for the day. The dock master made it very easy for us to reserve over the p[hone and gave perfect directions for finding our location for the evening. The dock although challenging in the current was a new floating dock which enabled us easier access to tie up by ourselves. Much easier than pilings. The facilities were clean and welcoming. Their patio would be a great place to meet friends and grill if we had arrived earlier. The morning staff were prompt and helped us off the dock in a swift current. The area around the marina was pleasant. I would like to visit again when we can spend time in Beaufort.

Management response:

Thank you for taking the time to give a positive review of our marina. I am glad you felt welcome. We look forward to helping you dock the next time you visit. Thanks again for your kind words. Happy Cruising! Take Care.

This is a first class marina in a charming town with excellent customer service and nice, well-maintained facilities. We only stayed one night as we were trying to get to our ultimate destination in the Chesapeake, but would definitely consider staying here for a longer duration on our next trip. Would highly recommend this marina.

Top Notch Marina!, 2014-06-11
Captain: , North Myrtle Beach (251)

What a great marina!! The staff including Rion and Tom are some of the nicest and most accomodating staff we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The transient docks are tie-along side. The restrooms are clean and separate from the restrooms for the adjacent restaurant. The courtesy car is an added plus so that boaters can provision and enjoy the restaurants and history of the area. We will return to this marina.

Great place to stay, 2014-05-14
Captain: , Racine, WI (371)

Tom Wilson and staff are most helpful. With only one night to stay, they provided three good restaurant choices, directions to the West Marine, a history of the town and a car to see and do it all, many thanks Tom.

Tony and his helper on the dock could not be more helpful. Rion in the office was very accomodating. The restaurant on site has good food and fast service. The restrooms and facilities were clean. All in all, one of the best marinas on the ICW.

Great Place - Needs a Shuttle, 2014-04-21
Captain: , Washington DC (312)

We wanted to stop and stay here but there is no shuttle to Beaufort for sightseeing. They do have a courtesy car for loan but needed to be back in an hour. Add the shuttle we are in. We picked up fuel and the dockmaster was extremely helpful

Our patronage was valued, 2014-04-20
Captain: , Fort Myers Beach, FL (361)

We stopped on our way north for the AGLCA rendezvous. We were treated ROYALLY. Rion and staff did anything they could to make our stay pleasant. We used the courtesy car twice and visited Beaufort from here.
We will definately stay here again if ever back in the area.

Perfection, 2014-04-18
Captain: , Santa Cruz, CA (150)

Had a hard east wind, pointed downstream and marina staff had a plan to get us off safely with no stress. Ryan, gave advice that for sure saved some stress and grey hairs, and my wife yelling for sure. I never thought it, but he simply advised us to reverse out and let the current do the work.....WIN! Worked perfect. Also, get your walking shoes on and walk to Dockside restaurant in pt. royal. You will be very happy if you like seafood.

Great people here, 2014-02-11
Captain: , Phoenix (580)

Stayed here for 6 months. The owner, Tom, is a wonderful person and Ryon, the GM is wonderful also. Good rates on dockage and the Beaufort area is real Southern...quiet area. Some nice eating places but not much to see or do over a long peroid of time. They have a truck to use if needed.

Comfortable and accomodating, 2013-11-25
Captain: , Stuart, FL (167)

Very Professional Marina staff keep this marina running and looking its best. With laundry, restaurant, and loaner car, we didn't need another thing to make us happy. Beautiful area to walk around and look at nice homes. Good breeze blowing up the river made for nice sleeping and fewer noseeums.

Captain: , Keyesport, IL (70)

Unusally I don't comment although I've stayed at over 150 different marinas during the last 6 months - but Port Royal Landing Marina is different ~ and better. Much better. Stay here and you will find out why.

All of the reviews are correct, 2013-11-14
Captain: , Charlestown (946)

Staff is great and the hospitality is wonderful. This marina has the magic formula that most marinas miss. Just be nice, pleasant and treat the customer like they are king and it makes a world of difference. They just aren't nice when they check you in, they check on you after you have been there to see if things are okay. If you use the bathrooms and showers get as close as you can since it could be a walk, but we all could use some exercise. The historic Town of Beaufort is about 3 miles away, but for a short visit a courtesy vehicle is available. Enterprise car rental will also deliver if you want to explore further. Plenty of eateries. If in town, do try Nippy%u2019s. Good local food with a down home atmosphere.

Amazing Marina, 2013-11-10
Captain: , Kingston, Ontario (1970)

One of the best marinas we have had the pleasure of staying at. Excellent in all areas, in particular though the staff/owners are amazing. From the moment you bump the dock you are made to feel as if you been docked here all your life. Superb value as well.
Stayed again, still a wonderful place!

Port Royal Landing, 2013-10-24
Captain: , Sandwich (722)

Wonderful family owned marina on ICW. The owners were attentive, friendly and always ready to assist. Clean bath/shower facilities. Onsite laundry. Courtesy vehicle to use for re-provisioning or dining out. Bicycles to use to ride into Beaufort. This marina is about 3-4 miles from Beaufort center. The owner gave us a lift into Beaufort. Beaufort%u2019s history is quite visible with huge oak trees draped in moss surrounding stately southern mansions along its streets with its churches and graveyards dating back to pre-civil and civil war. Beaufort%u2019s harbor front has been renewed to include a promenade, an open amphitheater, parks, benches, playground, and numerous restaurants and shops.

Well kept secret, 2013-08-06
Captain: , Key Largo (20)

This is our second stay within a month, stayed on our northbound venture and again on our way home south. This location is one of our favorites because we have all the amenities without the noise and traffic. There's always someone on the dock to assist during arrival and departure. It's biking distance to historic Pt. Royal, Beaufort and Lady's Island. They offer clean restrooms, showers, laundry, loaner bicycles and a loaner truck for provisioning. They have on site restaurant with local seafood. Only drawback is it's a little bouncy on the facedock with the wakes and the current. Definitely a repeat visit is in our future.

Pulled in with 25+ SOUTH wind. Ryan and the other dock hand worked with us to get us tied up, and we greatly appreciate their help. Nice concrete floating docks. This marina is exposed to SOUTH wind. The face docks are a long way from the marina office but Ryan was so kind he drove me there in the golf cart then drove me back. He explained all the aspects of the marina and was extremely polite. Gotta love the good manners of the people of the South! Right on the ICW so you dont lose any time traveling.

Captain: , cruising (671)

We made an unplanned stop becasue of weather. This is a top notch family owned and run marina. Clean, nice landscape with sitting areas, well protected newer floating docks, outsite lounge restaurant (we did a to go order because we visited in the rain), transportation to town (including West Marine & Lewis), and then they discount for MTOA which I think is their best rate! They even asked for my wife's name when I registered and received a nice welcome packet. This is now a destination marina for us.

Still The Best Customer Service Around, 2013-05-18
Captain: , Vero Beach, FL (907)

We stopped here southbound in early November 2012. Dock staff were very helpful. They come around regularly to check dock lines and fenders. Well kept facilities, clean restrooms, a nice welcome package and tote bag. We actually got a handwritten postcard from the marina weeks later thanking us for stopping there.

Stopped again northbound mid-May. We needed work done on the electric/charging systems and the marina reccommended Jim DeMartin, who was prompt, effective and reasonably priced. The marina offers a discount for BoatUS: $1.60/ft. with the 3rd day free. What a good deal. We also needed to download, print and fax some documents, and Rion helped us get that done efficiently. All facilities are clean, good wifi on the docks, convenient to everything, especially with the loaner vehicle. The friendly live-aboard community holds pot-luck get-togethers on the boaters private deck. Can't get much better!
One caution: stay off the face dock if there will be a brisk northerly; you will not enjoy bouncing in the chop.

Captain: , Shinnecock Bay, NY (610)

Broke down on the way in and was "stuck" here for 3 weeks waiting for parts (We all have to be somewhere). The Marina is top knotch and the crew does a great job. Tony knows all about the area and is a great source of local knowledge. Since I had to be "stuck" somewhere, this was a good spot.

Love this marina, 2013-05-10
Captain: , Oriental, NC (150)

Definitely recommend this marina. I would choose this marina for staying for a long period of time. Tony and Rion were so helpful. Tony especially for docking tactics and Rion for providing local information. We thought we would stay for one day but because of weather we stayed for 6. Pay for 2 nights and get the 3rd night free. How could we not stay? They have courtesy memberships for the Y for all the facilities. How nice is that? We always had a car available to do grocery shopping or other errands. Everyone was first rate. True southern hospitality

Southern Hospitality at Its Finest, 2013-04-29
Captain: , Kinsale (130)

We were greeted with a warm welcome and one of the best welcome packages we've ever gotten. The friendliness continued throughout our stay. Not only were we loaned a vehicle for provisioning but were driven in a golf cart back to our boat with the groceries. This marina has good floating docks but they are very long. The bathroom and showers are very clean. On the grounds of the marina is a cookout patio where they host bring-your-own BBQs on Fridays, and on Saturdays, the restaurant on site has live music. The neighborhood around the marina is very pretty for a nice walk. We look forward to staying here again!

Stayed here april 11,12,13. Stay 2 nights get a third for free is a real bargain. The staff is excellent, always looking to help out. Clean bathrooms and showers, laundry on premesis, docks in great condition. The little grill/restaurant is a nice place to eat. Loaner car for supplies at Publix. We took a short cab ride into Beaufort for a day.

Captain: , Hampton, VA (581)

This was a wonderful stop! We had not originally planned to pull into Port Royal, but a large, multi-day wind event forced us in....and I'm glad we did! Tom and his staff could not have been more helpful, assigning me a protected spot from the expected N/NE wind. The price (3 for 2 days) was right and the addition of free wifi, liberal use of their courtesy car(s) and the unique on-site bar/grill (Backporch) was just icing on the cake. I look forward to future stops here!

A terrific marina with a warm and welcoming crew, great facilities and short run by loaner vehicle, bike or walk to West Marine and groceries. We have been cruising for 3 years and feel that this is one the best marinas we have stayed. Tom the owner & his staff were very helpful. PR is within a mile walk to West Marine & Piggly Wiggly or use their car. Cafe on site is very good and reasonably priced, plus alot of fun.

Captain: , Stafford, VA (148)

A Royal Port - Great marina - Owners and staff were very accomodating and helpful. They have two courtesy cars and very resonable laundry rates. Rates were very good as well, they have 3 for 2 which really worked out well for us. We took their courtesy car into Beaufort and took the carriage ride very pleasant and interesting. We also used it to go to Walmart. Enterprise is very close and convenient as well if you wanted to rent a car and do more. The difference in the rates makes that affordable. We will return to this marina again. They have a very nice resturant with daily specials that are both good and reasonable. The waitresses were very friendly and made you feel at home.

A Nice Alternative, 2013-02-26
Captain: , Topsail Beach, NC (480)

We've always stayed at the Downtown Marina at Beaufort before when we were in this area, but wanted to try Port Royal Landing this time because it is less expensive. We really liked it here. The entire staff is first rate, extremely helpful and friendly. They clearly are glad you are staying with them.

Small lounge with TV, good book exchange and coffee was nice. Cable at docks was perfect for our neighbors, not so good for us....just a bad connection I guess.

They are not as strict about usage of their courtesy car as Downtown Marina....just so long as you don't take advantage of it. We had plenty of time to go to WalMart which you really can't do from downtown in the hour they allot you. West Marine is within walking/biking distance from here.

We were inside the face dock in pouring rain and wind but were not rocked too much. It is a long walk to shore, but the staff is more than happy to give rides in their golf carts.

We always like marinas that have recycling facilities and this one does.

The onsite restaurant has good food, including daily blue plate specials. But the smoke in the restaurant is pretty thick...comes from the adjoining bar and really was bothersome since we are so used to not having smoke in restaurants anymore.

Overall a great place to stay. Love the buy two nights, get one free deal! We will definitely stay here again.

These folks are, skilled, friendly, actively cooperative. The facility is clean and well maintained. The restaurant is better than it looks. The courtesy car is a pickup truck. The showers and heads don't require you to disinfect yourself on return to the boat. Only northerlies are troublesome, but tiiming can take care of that. Rion and his crew are up there with the Brunswick Landing folks.

Great Service, Great Facilities, Dog Friendly, 2013-01-04
Captain: , Oriental, NC (10)

We stayed a week here. This is a family-owned and managed marina. Service from staff members exceeded our expectations daily. The courtesy vehicle made it easy to see nearby Beaufort and also to provision our boat. 50-Amp power ran perfectly. Several stores and restaurants are within walking distance. And, the price is right. If you're stopping in the area, you owe it to yourself to experience the southern hospitality of Port Royal Landing Marina.

Very Nice Marina, 2012-12-03
Captain: , Oriental, N.C. (130)

We stopped in early December. Entire staff very helpful and courteous. Dockage $1.60 plus a Boat U.S. discount. If you stay 2 nights the third night is free. There is a small grill on site where you can get a hamburger or other sandwich. Just before we got to the marina we had engine trouble. Called a mechanic that had been recommended. He came to this marina the very next day and had us going again in a few hours. Name: Jim DeMartin, JDA Diesel Service, 843-524-1177 or 843-252-1177. He is an excellent diesel mechanic, courteous and very reasonable. I would go to him again.

Great Thanksgiving at this fine marina., 2012-11-22
Captain: , La Pointe WI (201)

The marina offers "stay 2 days, get the 3rd one free" so we did. The 3rd day was Thanksgiving and it was a welcome experience to be with such nice people--45 in all. The marina provided 6 turkeys and we boaters signed up to bring the side dishes. It was a grand affair on the marina deck. This is an annual event at the Landings.

Quick stop to wait out rising tide, 2012-11-16

The marina office staff and dock staff are wonderful. We borrowed some dock time from them to wait out a high tide before going under the McTeer bridge. Happily paid for a pump out, would have gotten fuel if we needed some. We will definitely put this on our repeat list.

Rode out TS Beryl and Hurricane Sandy at Port Royal with no problems. The staff in addition to being friendly & helpfull are caring as well. These guys actually walked the docks during the storms checking lines and making sure all of the boats were secure. Add that to the reasonable price. A loaner vehicle, and a beautiful setting and you've got a winner! We'll definetly stop again when in the area!

Excellent place to stop, especially in a storm, 2012-10-27
Captain: , Fort Pierce, Florida (369)

We stopped here on our way South, planning on a 2 day stopover. We would up staying a week, waiting for Hurricane/Ttropical Storm Sandy to pass by. The docks are floating and were able to handle the tides and winds, which were averaging 25 kts.+. The dock hands are great and know what they are doing. Their facilities are great as well. The docks are a good walk from the marina facilities, but makes for good exercise. They have docking specials as well. Will definitely stop here on our way back North next year.

Definitely a keeper and next time we will sit and stay awhile to enjoy the socialism and the scenery. The setting is so pretty, I was walking Miss Molly and got half way thru the parkiing lot before I realized I was actually IN a parking lot...very very pretty...lots of hardwoods dripping in Spanish Moss. Wished we had the energy to try the restaurant...looked inviting but after 10 hours on the water, we were beat...Great folks...can't wait to come back. Quiet and still all night. A keeper! We usually spend a week here for some down time between New England and Florida great provisioning area with a courtesy truck. Great friendly family atmosphere. The crew here are absolutely the friendliest and most helpful of any marina i have been to. Enterprise 4 miles away, they will pick you up. Good bar food restaurant on site.

great family run operation, 2012-10-23
Captain: , Jacksonville Fl (1550)

This is a great stopover place and family owned and operated with pride that shows. They offer discounts on dockage and a discount on gas if staying overnight. Also have a buy 2 get one free deal. The whole staff does a great job always asking if there is anything you need or they can help with. With the loaner truck and bicycles to use a great way to reprovision or sightsee. DO NOT miss the Fri night cookout if you can make it work, awesome. Bill the grillmaster is the man. Great job to all.

A great place to stay for a few days, 2012-10-16
Captain: , Bear DE (694)

We wanted a slip for one night and ended up staying for 3 days. At your arrival you get free goodies like a shoppingbag and more. Everyone makes you feel welcome. If you need a car - you can have the marina truck for one or two hours to do the shopping or something else. If you stay 2 nights - the 3rd night is free. Cheapest diesel fuel around. Will come back here anytime!

Great alternative to Beaufort City Marina, 2012-10-14
Captain: , Cape Coral, FL (220)

We came to this marina on October 12, 2012, planning on staying for two nights. The fine folks here offer 3 nights for the price of two, so we stayed on for another day. While here we used their loaner vehicle to go shopping at a nearby Publix, we both had hair appointments nearby, went to the post office, a gourmet farmer's market on Saturday, then used their free loaner bikes to go for a nice ride to a walk through a cypress swamp and then to the waterfront where there was a tower to climb for views of Battery Creek and all the islands nearby. We also used their pumpout service and bought fuel. The people here couldn't be nicer, there is a restaurant on site with a killer view, and their price is a little cheaper than the Beaufort City Marina. Excellent facility!

Captain: , Somers Point (460)

I had to go home for business for a few weeks and they took me in. Tough docking in a strong current. Tidal change is abut 7 feet but plenty deep even at low water. Only problem was that while I was home we were broken into. They stole a camera and a laptop. However the marina staff was very helpful in getting the police there, contacting me and even cleaning the carpets from the muddy footprints. When I came back they were very apologetic and handed me the police report. It wasn't their fault but they did a fantastic job of dealing with it. I will return!!!!

Port Royal Landing Marina is excellent, 2012-05-04
Captain: , Pasadena, MD (1496)

Port Royal Landing Marina is among the most customer oriented marinas anywhere. You are treated as a resort guest. If you've ever stopped there, they know you by name when you arrive. They make every possible effort to accommodate guest requests and needs. Tom Wilson has truly built a best-of-breed operation here. Call ahead for docking assistance, as current in the Beaufort River can be strong.

Great group. Try the covered BBQ area near the ship's store, restaurant, ship's store. They even returned my 50 amp splitter left on the plug-in. Highly recommended.

Captain: , Annapolis, MD (343)

Port Royal Landing is a nice alternatice to the Beaufort City Marina. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Courtesy car available during working hours for replenishing or sight-seeing. Resturant had good food at a reasonalbe price and the beer was cold. Heads are spotless. Only complaint I have is that it's a hoof to walk the doogs off thepier to do their business. Other than that, it's a great stop

One of our favorite marinas, 2012-03-18
Captain: , Annapolis, MD (329)

This is the ninth time that we stopped here and it has become one of the places that we make sure that we don%u2019t miss both northbound and southbound. We typically stay two or three nights. It is a perfect location for restocking the fridge and their marina truck makes that easy. The marina is a family run business and the owners and staff are the best and make docking easy and the stay enjoyable. We even get a Holiday postcard from them every year. There is a small marine store, a restaurant and good laundry facilities. Downtown Beaufort is a nice long walk away but a perfect bike ride away. If the marina is not too busy you can probably take the marina truck there for lunch or sightseeing. This is one of our favorite marinas.

Stopped here before a trip outside to Titusville. They let me stay a half day at a half day rate, used the car, the internet, and had help of their mechanic so that we could make our weather window. Nice facilities and West Marine, grocery store and auto aprts close. Ships store is also pretty good

Just completing a stay at the Port Royal Landing Marina. It has been delightful. The staff stands head and shoulders above many other marinas.
We had a battery problem and had to stop here. Their cooperation in helping us obtain new batteries was way beyond what was necessary. And the staff insisted on helping us remove the old batteries from the pier (4 batteries weighing about 100 lbs each.)
When I needed a tool, they spent time to find one for me. Everyone was friendly, polite and helpful.
Further, I feel their rates are reasonable ($1.60 / foot plus 3 days for the price of two or a week for the price of 5 days during our stay.) And all of their facilities are in excellent condition.
Suzi and I heartily recommend them.

A fantastic fuel stop, 2011-11-14
Captain: , Whitfield Estates, Sarasota, FL (1001)

We called ahead at 7:47 am on the telephone and should have asked what channel they monitor. The ramp to the store and rest rooms is an easy hike over a very stable walkway. The attendants run up and down in golf carts. You can pay at the fuel dock which makes it quite easy. We visited the marine shop and picked up a very good catalog with items they can get overnight. The staff was hustling around on the dock because a new boat owner was bringing in his new Catamaran Sail Boat for service. The Cat took 8 gallons of fuel and wanted 100 gallons of water (free) and a pumpout. The staff was very friendly and courteous.

Very nice facility with friendly and helpful staff. Courtesy car available for shopping etc. Good restaurant on site - lots of food at reasonable prices. Long walk from the outermost transient dock to the office. Tide is 9-10 feet so ramp is steep at low tide. Easy in and out.

We had a wonderfull stay at this marina and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Tom Wilson is a very hospitable host lending us his courtesy car in the morning and then driving us on a sightseeing tour of Beaufort in ther afternoon. Everyone was very courteous and helpful at this marina. The dockside restaurant served us a tasty meal the first night and on the second night we walked to the Pasta Factory a block away. Great Italian food served by a caring waiter. This is definitely on our list of stops in the future.

Great marina! The only thing missing is a pool. The walk others talk about is very beautiful and a pleasure. No complaints with anything. Go eat at Docksides, their fried seafood is incredible as is their cornbread!

Captain: , Dataw Island, SC (290)

Acitve Captain was a big help here as Port Royal was our second choice however, after reading the reviews and electric problems Downtown Beaufort Marina had, I called and mentioned I was on my way and wanted to know if the electirc problems had been corrected or were they just the same. The lady at the marina said "no, the electric is just the same!" which made my decision easy.
We spent 4 nights at Port Royal Landing and experienced excellent customer service from everyone there. These people go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable (their current occupancy is over 90%) which makes up for the long walk to the office, showers, restaurant, etc. Loaner car available. Ask for assistance docking as the currents are at times fast.

My ICW favorite!, 2011-05-13
Captain: , Annapolis, MD (384)

PRLM is a very good marina, and the only marina that I've stopped at every time by over 6 years. The courtesy car, attached bar/restaurant, ability to get supplies (boat parts, groceries, meat market, and good hardware store on the island), and Tom and his staff make it a great place to get ready to go outside when skipping GA. Tides and currents can be big, the outside of face dock makes it easy to get in under all conditions, and as such can be bumpy with opposing winds (N or S) and tides...

Very accomodating to Cruisers, 2011-05-05

April 24th- Great staff, very helpful with docking. Their marina is excellent, clean laundry area, and washrooms. They have a loaner vehicle for provisioning.

A Fine Marina, 2011-04-27
Captain: , Austin, Texas (1774)

We stayed several nights in Beaufort at Port Royal Landing Marina and were very happy with this facility. The docks are fine, although it is a long walk up to the marina office and showers. The staff is extremely helpful. The only negative to this marina is that its too far from downtown Beaufort. It is a $10 cab fare. However, they do offer a courtesy car to make a short trip to the nearby Publix and West Marine. But you cannot use it for sight-seeing into Beaufort. Overall a fine marina.

Captain: , Wickford, RI (1637)

Stopped here for the first time in mid November 2010. It will not be the last time. Everything was excellent, staff, docks (although a previous caution about north winds is probably prudent), clean, good eats, loaner vehicle. There is a great local seafood market within walking distance. Just ask the staff.

One of the Best, 2010-10-30

We have stopped here over fifteen times over the last eight years. It is one of the best marinas. The people are friendly, helpful, and have become friends over the years. And you can get a good walking workout going up the dock a few times during the day.

Great marina.....careful in North winds, 2010-02-19
Captain: , Edenton, NC (887)

We've stayed here numerous times and have always been very happy with the facilities, service and price. (used the courtesy car to go to the emergency room one time). One note however, if the forecast is for strong north winds you don't want to be on the outside of the face dock. When wind goes against the significant tide it can get pretty rough. Inside the face dock is OK and they usually have space on the inside. We moved to a slip in the middle of the night so as to get some sleep and next morning the staff didn't have any problem with our move.

Captain: , fairland (2653)

I stopped here for some unexpected repairs. The docks are nice, but I was 1000 feet from shore. The cable didn't work, the restaurant didn't accept the 10% off certificate given to me by the manager and they say they can get nay part, but in reality aren;t too helpful.

On the plus side, the restrooms are very clean and there is a courtesy pick up truck (it is in dire need of an alignment). The residents are cheerful. The grounds are being redone due to some old ground contamination.

If it weren't for the mechanical issues, I would have stayed in Beaufort.

Jim, the mechanic, is pleasant, but talks a lot and takes many phone calls while on the clock.

Like the other Maine boy said it is a nice place. The people are tops. The heads are clean. The WIFI is free Needed alternator repaired. Marina refered me to Beaufort Auto Electric, Ray Dobens proprieter 843 524-8021 1350 Ribaut Rd not a mile from marina. He had it repaired in under 15 minutes! I highly recommend him.Found water in transmission. Marina refered us to JDA Diesel Electric (Jim DeMartin) 843 252- 1177. Needed new cooling stack. Had it overnighted and came in Saturday and had it all done in nothing flat. Highly recommend him too. Great marina great people great service.
