Reviews for Port Ludlow Marina
Wonderful staff!, 2017-07-02
Captain: , Port Discovery WA (50)

I met an old friend here, planning to stay 2 nights. On the morning of departure day his power boat was diagnosed with serious engine problems and he went through many hours of incredible hassles arranging for a future tow to Port Townsend, trying to negotiate insurance reimbursements, etc. His only NON hassle was that the great staff at Port Ludlow Marina instantly gave him temporary moorage for 2 weeks plus two free days. This is over the 4th of July holiday when I'm sure that they'll be completely full. Of course it's a beautiful location and very quiet at night also. I'll most certainly come back to give them more of my business, they most definitely deserve it.

Nice Quiet Marina, 2017-06-01
Captain: , La Crosse, WI (941)

Older facilities and docks, but are clean and well maintained. Showers are free and comes out with LOTS of pressure! Great staff, friendly neighbors. Take time to walk (easy walk) the trail to Ludlow Falls. It is beautiful and very worth the time. The forest is most amazing. They have maps of other trail walks also. Golf is also available near by. Easy walk to Snug Harbor Cafe - good food and reasonable prices.

Clean quiet and friendly, 2014-08-08

This marina has older buildings and docks, bugt it is well maintained and really clean. The staff is friendly and curteous. The store has limited supplies, but they do have block ice. This is a plesant marina with several places to get into shade and off the boat. On adjacent property are a large group of condos. Attached to the condos is a plesant resturaunt. Other shoreside facilities weren't apparent.

While there we did get treated to watching 2 tall ships tied up at the marina. Lady Washington and Hawaiian were there to give 2 hour cruises (booked up) but they were fun to watch. Lady Washington even sailed off the dock. It was fun to visit with some of the crew. I understand they do this 2 days each year.

Great facility and service, 2014-07-31

The staff here are outstanding. Kori, Kathy, Bill, Gary & Gary and the others. Hot water in the showers & and a nice little store. If you are there for a few days, Kori can order marine stuff from Fisheries Supply in Seattle at a fair price and it will be delivered by truck

great place for a weekend visit, 2014-04-26

Port Ludlow is beautiful but doesn't have much to offer unless you have a car. The marina, however, is nice with good docks, Marina store, friendly staff, [free] showers, and fuel.

A quiet refuge from the storm., 2011-10-03
Captain: , Gig Harbor (134)

We arrived about 15:50 and got no response on the radio. After we tied up, went to the fuel dock to register as instructed onthe sign at the entrance to find it closed. Posted hours are 09:00 to 16:00. The marina office was also closed. No information for "late" arrivals about access to the showers or toilets. I did notice that they provide Valvtect Marine fuel when they are open, a plus. We are unlikely to be back.

Perhaps there has been a change in management since the last review a year ago.

Quiet, Protected, Good Docks, Friendly, 2010-09-26
Captain: , Shilshole (20)

I have had a 36' and a 42' boat into Port Ludlow on windy days for a break. Lovely quiet place has good docks, a single nice restaraunt, cute little marina store, showers and such. Highly recommend for an evening or two. Its a little small to be interesting for much longer, but we love it as a stop on our way North or South.

Best in the West!, 2010-08-26
Captain: , Freeport, ME (257)

We had such a great stay here at the Port Ludlow Marina we wished we could have stayed longer! The marina was the quietest and calmest I have ever been at and the scenery was unbeatable. The marina store had everything we needed and more. There were hiking paths all around the area with a trail map available at the marina store. The Port Ludlow Resort was right nextdoor and had a nice looking (pricey) restaurant. We will definitely be back again!

We keep coming back, 2009-05-27

All the comments in the other 2 posts are spot on. This is a first rate facility complete with free internet access. The fuel prices are high but then they are on the Olympic peninsula.

Best small marina on Puget Sound, 2008-01-21
Captain: , Port Ludlow, Washington (2)

This is one of the best marinas on Puget Sound and maybe the West Coast. It has all types of marine fuels, AC power hookups, marina store that carries snacks, some food and necessioty items and some marine supplies. The staff are outstanding, friendly and always willing to help. Open the usual business hours with extended hours to 8 PM in the summer. Other ammenities such as golf (free transport available) at the PL Golf Club and swimming/hot tub/exersize room at the Beach Club. Another larger convenience grocery is about 1/4 mile up the road at the Village which has craft shops, personal care, post office and pizza joint. There is a up scale hotel with restaurant as well as another restaurant and bar within 5 min walking distance. If you want peace and quiet with blue herons and bald eagles or go crabbing this is the place. This not however a big marina so you do need to make reservations during the summer. CH. 68 will get the Harbormaster and dock crew.

Pt. Ludlow Marina, 2007-07-25
Captain: , Seattle, WA (13)

We stayed here in July 2007 and enjoyed our stay. Pleasant and helpful staff.

We were in a vacant slip in the resident moorage docks and it was nice and quiet.

We will return.
