Reviews for Port Hadlock Marina
Quiet marina, good place to rest, 2014-09-20
Captain: , Portland (279)

Reservations are absolutely necessary, even in mid-September. There are no guest berths but the dockmaster will assign you to a vacant slip. He will even greet you personally and take your lines. A lot of interesting boats in this marina. Big grassy area for dogs, kids, etc. No restaurants or groceries within walking distance. Facilities are clean.

Clean and friendly, 2014-08-08
Captain: , everett, wa (275)

We came on a friday with perfect weather and still had no problem getting a slip. This place is clean and quiet. $1.25 per foot but that includes power and wifi. Shopping is about a mile walk. Ther is one dinghy accesable resturant in view, but I'm told it's dinner only. This marina is mostly permanent moorage, but folks seem friendly.

Peaceful place!, 2014-07-07
Captain: , Tracys Landing, Maryland (350)

We are liveaboard, transient cruisers - so we have stayed at our fair share of marinas on both coasts. Having said that, this marina ranks in our top list. We loved our time here. Quiet and peaceful, with lots of wildlife. Our girls ran and kayaked all over the place and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The at dock pumpout is quite nice too!

nothing going on, 2014-04-26
Captain: , North Lake Marina, Lake Washington (260)

I love that the marina website calls out ActiveCaptain. That said, we were on our land yacht and in town so scoped out the marina for potential future visits. The Inn has been shut down for at least 2 years and there isn't much else around the marina. I was also really disappointed at the marina rules including all children under 12 must be in a life jacket at all times on the docks. I understand the liability of marinas, but I can't recall any other Puget Sound marina that has these rules so blatantly posted. As a result, I didn't venture further to check out the slips as I had my kid with me and didn't have a life jacket. If they don't enforce the rule, great, but as a newcomer, I don't know, so now am not adding Port Hadlock to my list to visit in the future unless I hear better from others who have visited. We also tried to have lunch at Ajax cafe (not too far to walk from the marina) but learned after arriving that they are only open for dinner service starting at 5pm.

Awesome people, great marina!, 2012-08-03
Captain: , GIG HARBOR (10)

I only had to stop off here for a few minutes for some vital supplies (motor oil). I radioed in on the VHF to see if they had a spot open that I could tie up to for a few minutes to run into the store. Todd, the owner, called back to say that the closest place to get any supplies was a mile, but I didn't have a choice. I had to get oil right then, otherwise putting my engine in danger.

He let me tie up for free, then even offered to take me to town! These are great people, with a nice QUIET marina and awesome views. They even have a wonderful marina Black Lab pup named Abigail.

Consider stopping here rather than Port Townsend on your way north - it would be worth it.

Keeping my boat here, 2012-05-01
Captain: , Port Hadlock, WA (10)

We have been keeping our boat in this marina for a while. The owners are great, the facility is clean, and they have lots of nice "extras" like a BBQ and firepit on the beach to use. The owners walk the docks regularly and check on things which is nice as we live in Oregon and can not check on our boat regularly.

Alcohol Plant, 2012-04-25
Captain: , Port Townsend, WA (303)

This marina is well protected, but do not allow live-aboards. It is a reasonable option if Port Townsend is full...

Beautiful Marina with GREAT Management, 2011-06-13
Captain: , Freeland (10)

My wife, son and I stopped in last Saturday boating in from Whidbey Island. We were met by the nicest team (Diane, Tod and Julie).

Beautiful marina with WARM folks there to welcome you!

We look forward to returning!

Great unknown spot, 2011-02-12
Captain: , Bainbridge Island (91)

The marina is connected to the Port Hadlock Inn which has great grounds for a picnic or just relaxing on shore. Excellent protection behind a sturdy seawall and lovely views of the bay. Although primarily focused on full time moorage they do accept a limited number of visitors. This is a great place to stop if you are on your way to the San Juan Islands.
