Reviews for Port Dover Yacht Club
Well Worth Visiting, 2016-06-13
Captain: , Erie, PA (160)

Small private club in quaint Canadian fishing town of Port Dover. Convenient, secure location with lots to see and do within walking distance. Limited # of transient spaces, and tough to reach by phone or radio.

My favorite yacht club on Lake Erie, 2013-02-27
Captain: , Buffalo NY (20)

Each year for the past 12 years I have cruised Long Point Bay and I always stop at Pt. Dover Yacht Club - beautiful volunteer run organization, restaurants and a live theater within easy walking distance. Wonderful people running the club. Be respectful and take care of this beautiful gem on Lake Erie.

A Hidden Treasure, 2012-09-19
Captain: , Port Dover Ontario Canada (35)

Its the members that make this place a great place to visit.

Great Place!, 2012-02-16
Captain: , Erie, PA (100)

We try to get to the Port Dover Yacht Club a couple of times a year. It's a cozy place on a calm river with very friendly people. If you can get a spot on the wall in front of the clubhouse you are steps away from their cool little bar. There seems to be something fun going on every weekend, but it's also nice just watching the recreational traffic go up and down the river. Plenty to eat, drink, and do downtown - a 10 minute walk from the club. Decent showers and washroom area. Highly recommended!

Tight Quarters, 2011-02-04
Captain: , Ashtabula YC, Ohio (278)

YC is very nice and the members are always friendly and helpful. The docks can be narrow and the distances are tight, but with care you can make it in and out. Easy wak into the village, great restaurants. Beware on any Friday the 13th which always brings hundreds if not thousands of motorcycles.

Jane and I have visited this club several times over the past 10 years. They are always accomodating and are a short walk from the villiage where there are shops, restaurants and groceries.
