Reviews for Port Dover Harbour Marina
A good stop if passing through, 2017-07-20
Captain: , Bayfield, WI (340)

We didn't get a chance to visit the town as we were just passing through, but the marina had all the amenities. The restrooms were clean, and laundry was available. The staff was friendly and were always busy keeping the grounds tended to. Our only complaint was that they were difficult to reach. We called several times and only got a person twice. And when we neared the marina, nobody answered on 68. So that was a little bit of a frustration for us.

The staff are working hard here and it shows. It's a well-maintained marina with nice deep docks. I enjoyed my stay a great deal.

Amazing Marina at an Amazing Price - A hiddem Gem on Lake Erie, 2016-08-23
Captain: , Burlington, Ontario (98)

This has been my new marina for 2016. After paying the insane Lake Ontario prices for several years, and experiencing the absolute worst customer service, this marina is a refreshing change. Everything is clean and the staff are friendly. The local Lake Erie cruising area is fantastic with many options for mooring and anchorages. Good facilities - the town is fantastic, with many great restaurants, shops, and pubs. There are a few wineries in the area which are fun to visit. The town of Simcoe is nearby and has all the large stores/shopping. The liquor and beer stores to close early in Port Dover. The drive from the Toronto area is reasonable, and this place is a fantastic getaway from the city for a weekend! You don%u2019t experience the same nasty traffic as when heading up north to Georgian Bay, etc. A hidden gem on Lake Erie.

Great public marina facilities and staff. Has been annual favourite place we've visited past decade. A bit up/down walk to town, but worth it. Shops, restaurants, museum, etc.

Deep water marina, 2015-12-23
Captain: , Toronto (482)

Port Dover has a large deep water marina with excellent facilities including a Coast Guard base.

The town beach is fantastic with many great bars and fresh water surf with southerly winds.

Port Dover is a favourite with motorcycle enthusiats with massive rallies evry Friday the 13th.

wonderful time great marina and town!, 2015-10-09
Captain: , Buffalo, NY (50)

this was my second time at this marina. Vey nice long transient dock. Beautiful clean facilities, showers , laundry.
The employees were very on the ball and outgoing.
Im from Buffalo, me and my two fellow travelers were blown away by the kindness of the locals.
The town is very cool, loved the perch platter, celery bread and local beer at the Erie Beach Hotel. and theres nothing like a fresh fruit frozen yogurt on a hot summer evening

were planning a return trip next summer!

Large well protected basin, 2013-12-30
Captain: , Buffalo ny (230)

Have stayed here several times. Friendly staff, clean facilities, gas and diesel. If traveling in groups, be sure to call ahead for reservations as it can be difficult to secure a slip. long walk to town, but worth the hike.

Great marina, 2013-02-27

Have stayed here several times and always taken care of by a quicky but customer oriented staff - good facilities, large protected basin, fun people on the docks.

Big, Nice, Handy!, 2012-02-16
Captain: , Erie, PA (100)

We've stayed at the Port Dover Harbour Marina a few times. Nice facilities, friendly staff, and handy for fueling up. Depending on where they put you, be prepared to have to do some walking to get to the washroom/shower facilities - it's a fairly large place. I bit of a hike to the quaint little beachy tourist town that is Port Dover, but it's usually easy to get a taxi if you'd rather ride.

Great Marina on the way to the Welland Canal, 2011-07-23
Captain: , Herrington Harbour, MD (680)

Great fuel dock, good staff, good docks for up to 100' boats, depths 7/8ft. Friendly people, BBQ's, but a fair walk to town.
They need to update their Waterways info as it said max lenght was 35 ft. If town was closer, I would have given a 5 Star rating.

Top of the list, 2011-05-27

Spent three nights here and I have to say was a great place to be, people were fantastic, staff was great. Lots to do in town, clean facility good showers, hydro and water at slip. Great three days and would reccommend highly

Excellent Marina, 2011-02-03
Captain: , Titusville, FL, USA (411)

Showers and heads are always clean and neat. The staff is always friendly and very helpful.
We stayed here many times through the '90s and '00s, the last time was in 2007. One weekend when we called them on the VHF they said they were full, but they'd find a place for us, even if they had to put us up at the fuel dock. As it turned out they chased down a slip where the owner was away for the weekend.

A good facility, with good finger piers and pleasant, efficient staff. No shops nearby and a bit of hike into town but do-able.
